I've been bringing my little girl Pumpkin to the Sparks Petco for several years now. I was always very comfortable leaving her with the previous lead for the Grooming dept, Amanda. Pumpkin was always super happy and well taken care of and came home looking beautiful. Unfortunately, Amanda left abruptly and no longer works there.I was hesitant, but took her back to Petco on April 3rd hoping for similar service. I was told it shouldn't take long so I called to check on her 3 1/2 hours after I dropped her off. The groomer on the phone said that they had attempted to call me but didn't have the correct number & were waiting for me to call back, leaving my pup there waiting in a kennel. I have had the same number on file that I always had & never had an issue being contacted previously, so I'm not sure why they couldn't reach me.I'm normally not a big review person, especially a negative review, but I had to share our experience and photos of the grooming she got this time compared to previous visits with Amanda.The earlier photos are the ones with the bows on her ears. The other scraggly photos are of the most recent grooming on April 3rd. I think I did a better job trimming her myself to be honest... SUPER Disappointed in the quality of the grooming and the customer service.I had asked that they not cut the hair on her back, just trim her face feet & fanny & trim her nails. She came back with white flakes on her coat which seemed to be left over shampoo that hadn't been thoroughly washed out and she had a piece of poop stuck to her rear end. A complete waste of time and money and stressed out Pumpkin and myself.

Absolutely amazing, I couldn’t be more relieved to have such a great grooming experience for my anxious guy Winston. He’s been through a lot and it’s hard for us to trust groomers but Anna was exceptional!

Teia always does a super job. My dog loves her and seems to enjoy being groomed. That says a lot to me about how she rteats my pet. Her work is always exactly what I ask for.

The groomer was great with my dogs. I have a new Boston Terrier, who is a rescue. He was a bit uncomfortable, but the groomer was very patient and took her time trimming his nails.

From the moment I spoke to Mikalah, I knew I found my pomeranian's new groomer. She owns an aging pom, too, and understood my concerns about my pom's joints and hips. My previous goomer, a Petco groomer in NW Reno, shaved my pom to his skin, although that was not requested! Mikalah assured me she would give Bear a nice Teddy Bear cut. She has incredible talent and I'm very pleased with Bear's Grooming. I will definitely be back.

My son took our fur baby to this Petco groomer location in Sparks last Tuesday and asked for a trim but oh no they shaved his beautiful hair of a golden doodle. We will NEVER bring our fur baby to this place.

We usually have Amanda groom Sammi since we have been going there and she has done an amazing job. But since she left and recommended Anna to groom Sammi and that Sammi just had her first appointment with Anna we can say the level of experience, patience, and overall experience was the same. As long as we have our fur baby we will be bringing her to Petco for Anna to groom.

Andrew the groomer was pleasant, fast and friendly. My dog even marked his territory in the store (he has never done this in 7 years) and Andrew kindly mopped it up and acted like it wasn't a big deal. This is inspiring, if only we all could spread joy and be kind regardless of where we are in life, whether it be mopping up dog pee or being a CEO. Will definitely continue to use Petco because of people like Andrew

Andrew is amazing with our schnauzer. He is a puppy & Andrew was patient to brush out his knots before full grown. The magic of grooming even makes our dog show off. All the staff are warm & caring!

Our visit was great, Andrew took time to listen to the what I wanted and about my pet plus he did an amazing job. Sch a second appt and because my pet is not comfortable in the crate he suggested an appt first thing in the morning so my pet won't be so nervous. Again my experience was wonderful and Andrew is amazing with pets

The store was well organized, easy ro locate items and offered a quick check out. Andrew, at grooming, was simply awesome. We've had many groomers in the past. My son had recommended Petco and I'm glad that he did. Andrew trimmed my Pom, Scotty, perfectly. His nails were perfect too. Thank you for a job well done!

From start to finish, the staff is always very caring. My 15 year old border collie is happy to see them. I know they give her extra breaks because of her age. Andrew is the groomer who took care of her on her latest visit. She looks beautiful.

I was checked in for my appointment on time with courteous service. The groomer Madison was kind and gentle with Lister. When she came back out with Lister, Lister seemed happy and excited. The service was great her nails look beautiful. Well trimmed.

Teia checked us in and I immediately saw my pup was comfortable with her. She addressed my concerns and our needs and it turns out it saved me money in the end. Will definitely be returning, already scheduled my next appointment with Teia!

His face wasn't as short as I like it; his ears were left a bit too long and already get food on them when he eats. My little guy is a Shih Tzu and I like the teddybear face cut. We decided to leave his fur a bit longer due to the colder weather but I did not think that his face, especially his ears, would be included. I will have to trim them before his next groom which is set for the end of December.

Kono looked really good. She shaved the necessary parts were it needed to be cleaned and his matting was almost gone. He was so soft and fluffy when we got him. He smelled good too as well as his breath! Thank you Brooklyn!

I went in with my corgi and specifically said not to shave him. When I came back a staff member was talking to a customer about me (rude); saying that they tried to convince me not to shave my dog (a lie) no one said anything to me. I told the groomer specifically not to shave him that I just wanted him trimmed. He is completely shaved and they were being very rough with him. In the end some of the things that they were supposed to do didn't even get done (i.e. a fur trim on his pads, underbelly was inadequate and the lines around his neck were terrible)

The groomer really listened to what we wanted. Called us to let us know it would take a little more time and to assure that our baby was doing good. She did a very good job grooming our baby.

I actually feel that Serena did a great job on my dog, Max. She had a hard time with his first visit but she persevered. Hopefully Max will be better behaved the next time!

The people are nice and my puppy gets groomed well, they always seem to gouge me for more money for like a spa package thing. They are a business and that's what they do, I just can't really go there anymore because it always ends up way to expensive. The people are super nice, though. Will still go to the store.
