Girl at the register seemed to know her fish, but nobody seems to care for the fish, and the customer service was awful. I stood in front of their fish tanks for 30 minutes, and nobody came around, so I helped myself to the fish I wanted. I wish I could've taken all the fish there; it looks terrible. I felt bad for them all. Would've taken the fish and walked out if I could've. I wouldn't go there if it weren't for a need of feeder fish, and that being said I'd rather find somewhere else to buy guppies than go back.After reading the other reviews, I was unsure about going, and I'm glad I was able to save the couple fish I got. Please, SOMEONE HELP THIS PLACE!!!

Really friendly staff, helpful and know their animals well. The fish look incredible as do the rest of the animals. They’re well cared for and the only complaint I have it that they cohabitate the ball pythons which you’re generally not supposed to do.

Nicest people of all pet stores. Great prices, and while selection isn't as big as some, they have a really different collection of items. I got a couple bandanas for my pups, and gave a donation to Paws for a Cause.

I happened to stumble into this hidden gem and was totally impressed by the amazing, knowledgeable staff, the vast amount of pet product selections, and, most importantly, all the various pets available to add to your family 💓🐍😍

First visit...Won't be the last. Stopped by to get Purina Pro Plan Sport (purple bag) that was out of stock at a nearby Petco that same day. Ended up leaving with the Purina, a few treats and an awesome toy for Bixter (the Trickster). I mean seriously, who wouldn't do the same for this special little guy? (Regardless of the EXCELLENT customer service from your employee "Sebastian"?) Thank you Sebastian! Woof!

IM SO SAD THEY ARE CLOSING!!!I was in the shopping center yesterday and saw the sign. I LOVE THIS PET STORE.... If I had more money to blow on pet supplies that I didnt necessarily NEED I would shop here a lot more. Unfortunately I just buy when my pets NEED something. I've bought two birds from this store, a parrotlet and a green cheek conure. I've also bought two cages from them. I prefer to buy the bird toys from here too because they've always had a large selection compared to Petsmart or Petco. Everything has always been a good price too! Maybe 2-3 bucks more than somewhere else. Even though I watch my spending, I've had no problems spending a little extra to give business to Pet Supermarket. One thing I also NEVER saw were sick animals. That's one thing I hate about going to Petco or Petsmart, you'll see sick birds or sick rodents or reptiles. Pet Supermarket always took good care of the animals. I saw that the employees would take the tame birds out to socialize with them too, so they wouldn't be so lonely. And the employees were always really nice. I WILL MISS THEM SO MUCH. I'm sorry I dont have more money to spend to help keep this location open. I always told my friends to try here if they were ever looking for something. Maybe I'll get lucky and they can re-open a store again someday if they stay afloat well enough. If the SLT location isnt closing I'll always make sure to stop by and purchase something from them if I'm in the area!!! 💗💗

This place is awesome, they've really got everything here! When the regular pet stores didn't have my puppies food in stock and couldn't help me, I just walked in here and grabbed a bag no problem. Good selection of cute toys too!

I've always been able to get my questions answered here. Sometimes I have to hunt someone down, but I understand that employees need to multitask or prices must rise. I don't know how competitive their prices are, but there are "discounts" and the club rewards. I go for the convenient location and it works for me.I had a problem with one of my puppy toys and the manager gladly exchanged it for another selection.

Great prices on aquarium plants and I have not had issues with any tag alongs on them. Staff is friendly and the store is well kept.

Went in to buy a harness for my beastie boy. Starr was 5 stars! Friendly and helpful offering assistance to see how it fit. So impressed with her service. Great service doesn't happen too much anymore. I hope she gets recognized for being awesome.

Went in for ferret food. Jarrell was amazing. Knowledgeable about items and was friendly. Usually I try not to go there because most of their staff are rude. Hire more staff like Jarrell in your Sparks Nv. Store & your business will def do better.

A great place for shopping for your pets! They had the ONLY REALLY tall scratching post my cat loves! Great service, took my purchases to my truck as I'm handicapped, can't lift awkward, heavy items. Got some great buys on marked down food that would be expiring in 90 days, my cat loves the taste, she's a picky eater. Def recommend!

The employees are kind, patient, and willing to find answers for new pet parents. We have purchased a lizard, gerbils, and fish that have all been in good health.The prices for tank adornment is better than the other two big name pet stores.The only drawback is that it is a small store do the selection for small pet cages is small.

We have been going here for about 5 years now. The staff has always been very friendly and super helpful. We have a range of pets including a rabbit and they have always been able to help us with whatever we might need. The prices are very reasonable for pretty much anything I have ever had to get.

The employees are friendly and helpful. You can earn rewards points easily, which you can use for money off your purchases! I prefer Pet Supermarket over the larger stores, and drive out of my way to shop there.

Big NO on the fish!My mom picked me up some fish from this store last week, and half of the fish died almost immediately. I chalked it up to the stress from the trip (I live in Fallon, so it's a long drive home) and stopped by today after work to replace them.The fish tanks were appalling. The vast majority of the fish were fin clamped and listless. Some were at the surface gasping for air. Sure signs of high ammonia or nitrite...and yup, there were dead fish bodies in nearly every tank that would be causing ammonia/nitrite to spike. And we're not talking fresh deaths- these bodies were in various stages of being consumed.There was what I initially thought was a cotton ball floating in the platy tank...until I saw the little mickey mouse tail poking out. Cotton wool disease (fungus infection) unlike I've ever seen before...it didn't even look like a fish, and must have been dead for days to grow that much mold.I asked the employee if there was a dedicated person who was responsible for the tanks, and she said "oh, we all kind of do it..." I informed her of the terrible conditions, and hopefully for the sake of those poor fish they'll do something about it.Do not suggest heading here to buy fish, and going to go out on a limb and also say these are probably NOT the folks you want to be getting fish advice from.

They have a lot of unique items and everything the big stores have, but in a friendlier setting. The staff is super awesome and the store is always very clean. Great selection of small animals and specialized foods. The homemade doggie biscuits are wonderful too!

Very clean and well-organized store. Not many animals available as of this review, however. They still have lots of fish though. I can't comment on customer service since I didn't need help and didn't buy anything.

Went there to pick up some fish for my tank. Their tanks were filthy and that should have been a red flag. I bought four fish to add to my community. Within a week and a half, 3 of the four I bought died so I raced out to treat my tank before I lose all my fish. I will not be going back and I dont reccomend buying from this store.

The staff and manager at Pet Supermarket were pretty awesome. Not only were we there on 4th of July, right before closing time, but we spent a lengthy time choosing the right ferrets for us. They broke down the display model cage for us and helped with choosing all the necessities and accessories we needed. Everyone there seemed knowledgeable, patient, kind and don’t forget this was late on the 4th of July. They also helped us squeeze that big cage into our 4-door sedan! We appreciate all the staff at Pet Supermarket and would recommend it to anyone/everyone!

Really good prices compared to other chains. Also have better quality food! And the staff is knowledgable. Most of the employees are lovely, but the store manager is an awful human being! He is outrageously rude to employees and customers alike. (He's the older white man)

We went in to look at a hamster for our daughter and ended up getting 2 cute miniature hamsters. Koby was very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us with the cage, what food to use and even the different types of bedding material. This is definitely our go to pet supply store now.

I got my parakeet from here and I love this place very good very good on prices and I advise you if you do buy the fish from them make sure you have a bucket or Ice chest and a air regulator Make sure that they can supply their water from their tank that the fish came from also if you’re traveling long-distance that’s the only way your fish are going to survive and when you get home you can put them in a plastic baggie that you can ask from the front desk at the store that they put the fish in two properly adjust them to their new water environment Please people do transport your fish in a bag !!!
