If I could give 10 stars I would! My fiancé and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after messaging the owners on Facebook inquiring about their hours. They were very quick to respond and in person they are absolutely amazing souls! They’re both incredibly knowledgeable and we enjoyed exchanging rockhounding stories with them while in awe of their absolutely breathtaking collection of both genuine imported stones/minerals as well as their vast collection of personally hounded finds. Did I mention everything was graciously priced as well?! From hand made jewelry, rare crystals and genuine interactions, this is an absolute gem and worth the visit.

Loooove this place! Randomly found it passing by on my way home from Reno and decided to stop. So happy we did! I love the look and feel inside the shop. Lots of variety, a little bit of everything it seems like. The big minerals on display were really cool. The owners are very friendly and the man was very informative and helpful! Definitely coming back sometime if I'm in the area.

Lots of pretty stuff. Mostly large raw pieces, a lot of stuff already shaped and polished. Very nice stuff. Bought a rock, gonna cut and break and polish pieces. Very happy! Rock on....

Great store, local owned with family running it. It was a great experience. They have beautiful raw pieces, they have pieces that have been cleaned up to fantastic finishes, and they have hand-made custom jewelry. I believe most of the pieces in the store are mined at their own nearby mines, too. The guy that was working was beyond friendly and helpful. He taught me a ton about rocks, stones, and crystals. My wife loves this stuff, but I never paid much attention. It doesn't matter if you are into it or not. You'll be impressed. Trust me. Go now and support the type of business we need. These places won't be around forever. You'll see breathtaking views of the land surrounding it on the way there. It's one of my favorite drives.

Very nice place with some magnificent pieces of rocks and Stone. And I had stopped just on a chance that maybe they could point me in a direction of a tire shop. The gentleman there went far above and beyond to try to help me. And as I stated if you are looking for some amazing decorative stone and rock to add to your home or business I would definitely check this place out.

Would really like to be able to post a positive review of this place. However, I drove out on a Saturday and arrived around 10AM only to find the shop closed. There was a sign posted on the door (through which you could see all kinds of nifty things!) asking customers to call one of two numbers for assistance. The first number I called wasn't in service, and the second went to voice mail. Twice. I'm disappointed because I would have liked to have done some shopping there and truly the store looked chock full of interesting and unusual things. But without a way to get customers in the store and without sticking to posted hours, I'm not sure what else can be done.

An absolutely great shop with gorgeous specimens. Chelsea is such a joy and a wealth of information and knowledge. Her enthusiasm for life and all things in the natural world (gems, minerals, animals, her husband, their garden, etc etc) is infectious. I bought a couple of slabs of Hellsfire Agate, and am looking forward to doing something super cool with this gorgeous stuff! I love that the owners find the vast majority of their specimens themselves. DO NOT PASS THIS SHOP UP!!

Wonderful Welcome. Arrived on a Sunday when they were closed. We were received with no complaint. Doors were opened and we were allowed to browse & pet the 🐢😊. This is a family business and it makes no difference what the day is. Traveling home from Az to Or. Son in law had stopped on an earlier trip and wanted to share. I give them high marks. This place has an amazing collection of locally found rocks, minerals, and crystals, as well as some wonderful imported pieces. The rock jewelry and sculptures are high quality. Overall, this place is one of those must make stops on your road trip through Nevada. I ended up getting quite the epic crystal. Also, the indoor oasis fountain and accompanying stream is a worth seeing.

There is no place anywhere that has the selection of Gems and so many others except RockChuck Gem and Mineral Gallery. The owners are quick to answer any questions you may have. They are also extremely knowledgeable in this field. They have beautiful crystals and so much more. It's worth the drive out here just to see what they have!

Hi All, I finally made it to the Rockchuck Gem and Mineral Gallery yesterday... WOW, this is a very cool place indeed! :-)They have a nice jewellery selection including Native and custom pieces... no el-cheapo bs.The store is large enough for a few big families and is laid out very well.There is a variety of useful books to purchase as you shop for your perfect piece (or collections) and most everything is clearly labeled so a new guy like me can find his way around pretty easily.There is a HUGE variety of polished, natural and several custom cut pieces of... I think every stone known to man!HONESTLY, I WAS NOT READY FOR THIS AWESOME SURPRISE. LOLThe owners John and Chelsea were friendly and quite helpful, the prices were also fairly reasonable as well and no sticker shock to be wary of.It was over 100° outside and in the store it was a nice comfortable temp making my visit very enjoyable and top of the list for a definite return ASAP!I highly recommend a visit anytime you're in the Hawthorn NV area or on a HWY 95 road trip to Fallon, NV or even a little detour pin the way to Reno NV.Oh... It's just north of Hawthorn, NV about 15 minutes.Joe
