I've never been here and I called to ask a few questions. I spoke with Jackie and she was so friendly. She answered all my questions. I then took my dog in for a nail trim and buff. Donna was absolutely amazing. She got us in and out. The prices are awesome. They are also a local small business which is a plus! The location is very easy to find and the facility is nice and clean. Zola then got a treat after her nail trim and my daughter even got a chocolate while we waited. I will definitely be bringing my dog back. So happy with the experience!

We had a 10am appointment for a nail trim, which they said would be a ten minutes tops procedure. Upon arrival we were informed groomer wasn't arriving until 11:30am. Wasted a half day of PTO to bring our senior dog across town. Dog pee all over the waiting area as well.

Stella seemed to be ok staying here for 3 nights. Of course she was super excited when we arrived to pick her up. She is 10 months old so still a puppy. Good boarding prices.

Great place to take your pet. They was no wait and I was able to get my dog into the back at my scheduled appointment time, which is rare at any other grooming place. The prices were extremely reasonable and the staff was very friendly, informative and was able to answer all of my questions. I was in and out very fast also. I will definitely return for more services. This is the place to take your pet in Reno.

Had an appointment made 3 weeks in advance. The owner/groomer Donna was 2 hours late, and not there yet.I discussed what and how Iwanted with front desk,a Yorkie groomed, Schnauzer~puppy cut, & gave her a picture etc. After 4 hrs, called, as we had not been notified she was done. The cut was not as requested, skirt was taken completelyoff & head shaved down to pink skin above neck transition. Price increased to $45 Had I been able to pick her up, I would have expressed my discontent personally. I do Not recommend this groomer! Very disappointed.

Very impressed with the overall experience of getting my temperamental schnauzer groomed. This was his first time at Uncle Freddy’s and also his best cut ever. Amazing groomer skills! They could raise their price and I’d still come back.

The people who work here love animals and would do anything to help them and the owners, as well. It's clean and has a good, happy environment here. I was very happy with the attention and love my dog received.My dog was kenneled here for 9 days and seems happy. He received alot of extra attention being older and having health issues. I only had one miscommunication with one of the owners about having my dog groomed but it was worked out. That's the only reason I put 4 stars. Otherwise I'd give it 4.5.

My dogs usually run from the groomers, but are always excited when we arrive at Uncle Freddie's, which tells me they are treated well. The staff is very sweet... definite dog lovers. The price is reasonable. They come to your car to help you in (I have 2 goldens and they are a handful for me). I have nothing but good things to say about these guys.

I'm so happy that I found Dhonna and Uncle Fredie's! I've been bringing my two rescue dogs here for grooming since the business first opened. I live in South Reno so I'm not super close to Pueblo Street, but I would drive for 2 hours if I had to! One of my dogs has a lot of anxiety issues and is challenging (to put it mildly) to groom, but Dhonna is the dog whisperer to him. I'm so impressed by her knowledge and confidence with animals, and her prices are great! I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else.

Very happy with the care and attention they gave to my dog. She tends not to eat when in a new place so I add a half cup of milk to her dry food. They ran out of the milk and actually bought more and the owner even brought left over noodles from her home. She also sent me a video of my dog while I was gone on my trip. Oh! And she gave my dog a bath. Not only was the care outstanding, the price was the most affordable for me. A friend of mine referred me to Uncle Freddie's and I couldn't be more pleased.

We’ve taken our dog here a number of times now for daycare and grooming, and it’s been great! Before we started coming here, Otis (12 pounder) used to come back from our old daycare looking like he had PTSD, shaking and scared, and was picking up bad habits as well. Here at Uncle Freddie’s they actually take them outside regularly to potty and he always seems relaxed and happy when we pick him up, I think it’s a lot more like a home environment and he gets to chill on a couch in the daycare area. The grooming bath and blowout he had was excellent and was a great price, and the daycare is more affordabel than our old spot as well.

We boarded our dog Kiko here for 7 days while we were on vacation. When we picked her up, they had given her a bath, clipped her nails, and smoothed her paws. What a nice surprise! The owner and her staff were very friendly and accommodating too. We will definitely be going back.

Uncle Fredie’s is amazing with both of our dogs. We had never left our dogs anywhere. All of the staff were very understanding of that and made us feel at ease. Our dogs were very comfortable and you could clearly see that they were not anxious at all to stay. This is the only place we’ll bring our dogs.

My Prissy has just gone through a lot of stress with a cross country move, and she had the opportunity to enjoy a brief stay once we arrived. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were so attentive and loving to my girl and it put me at peace that she was in excellent hands. The facilities were clean, and one of the caregivers even sent me a text with a video. Prissy will be back. She misses her uncle Freddie’s family!

This is an EXCELLENT service! Super reasonable prices, the SWEETEST staff, and very clean. My dog who typically gets high anxiety from separation came out after 2 days apart like, "oh, it's you." She actually seemed bummed to be leaving.We WILL be back!!

I have consistently taken my cat to Uncle Fredie's for over a year now for grooming and I can truly say they are on point with everything. Outstanding customer service, and they always get her back in her groove! Love this place. 10/10 recommend.

I asked for my dog's tail and eyelashes to not be cut while getting a haircut. I told the lady at the front desk and even wrote it down in two different places. They even highlighted the sticky note saying to not cut her eyelashes and her tail. She has been growing her tail hair for her whole life. When I picked my dog up they just said it was a mistake and that they did not look at the sticky note. So my dog's tail looks like a rat tail and her eye lashes are gone. Very disappointed with the service. I also dropped my dog off at 8 am and they did not even get to her haircut until the afternoon. So sad.

I’m from NYC and I was going to Burning Man. I was very worried about letting my little baby to a place, when I met Dhonna the owner, I knew it was a good place for Carrie ! I left her during a week at Uncle Fredies. When I pick up my dog she was relax, they gave her a free bath and grooming, she was beautiful and healthy ! I highly recommend this place where its family size with a beautiful accommodation.

I am still heartbroken as I write this. The groomers at this place, specifically Dhonna the owner, shaved my gorgeous red golden retriever when I specifically asked for a TRIM. They clearly understood from what I thought as they had trimmed his hair previously. I came back to pick up my beautiful golden and got instead a botched haircut and a shaved dog with cuts on his belly from their negligence. I have been in tears and I am traumatized and saddened that these awful people did this to my beautiful baby. My dog has been depressed and is in shock himself, this is truly awful what they have done. I have had a fear always of bringing my golden to the groomers for this reason, as goldens have a double coat and due to health and aesthetic reasons should never be shaved as it takes away their protective coat and leaves them exposed. NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. These people clearly don’t know the first thing about grooming if they don’t know that a golden retriever should never be shaved due to health complications. I’m praying that my golden hair grows back and recovers, this business deserves to be shut down due to their stupidity and ignorance. Beyond that, this was done in complete opposition of my request which was a TRIM not a SHAVE.

SO HAPPY I found this place and Dhonna. We are in NorthStar on vacation and she got us right in. Dhonna was so genuine, kind and sweet. She was immediately connecting with our dog, Baylor, and the kids when we came in for the first time. The place was very clean (and not the 'we just bleached the place down' clean)! She did a wonderful job on our Brittany-Spoodle and we will be back on our next vacation! Thank you Dhonna and staff!! p.s. the price is extremely reasonable (dare I say underpriced?!) for the services provided!!
