We purchased an ocotillo cactus from Star Nursery the last part of January and had it planted by a professional landscaping company the same day. These cactus go dormant during cold weather so we didn't know until later than 30 days after we purchased it that it was dead. Although we paid over $300 dollars for this cactus, Star Nursery was not willing to replace it. They said that they had a 30 day refund policy. I will never buy from Star Nursery again as this is not the first time we have had an issue with their plants/trees.

The only solid place in Pahrump I've found to get quality plants and trees. We purchased 11 trees from them. All of them are growing well and looking great!! Some of the smaller plants I've purchased (like herbs and strawberries) aren't doing the best, but that could be my fault. My green thumb is still developing!! :) Star also has a good selection of reasonably priced pottery of all sorts. I'm happy with all purchases I've made through them!

Close when convenient for the staff, dont observe their hours. Hours are 7-5 listed on Maps/Google. Showed up at 425 and they locked the door and everything within 20 minutes of me calling to inquire about half a ton of pea gravel. Loving up to the typical Pahrump business practices, Customer comes last 👍

This was the first time shopping at this nursery. They have a variety of everything nursery. I was able to pull my red wagon with my selections. I really enjoyed having a wagon as my cart! Great idea! I was able to get everything I needed and then some.Lolol I am currently starting a vegetable garden. The line was a little long but they were new employees that just needed a little understanding and patience. I definitely remember starting a new job, I certainly didnt know everything and I wasn't very fast either. I will definitely continue to shop here for all my gardening needs. Roses are on my next trip.

Went on a Sunday morning before noon and it was not crowded and still cool in temp. Was looking for pots to replant my new dwarf citrus trees. Good selection and deep enough. Also checked out their decorative rock choices and deals. They have some cute roadrunner and quail yard art on display too.

The plants are amazing and are reasonably priced! I have never gotten an infested house plant (out of 9). Only had spinach with that lettuce gnats or whatever. Typically they just need water, sometimes new soil. Everyone is super friendly! Some employees are more knowledgeable then others and I have been misinformed by a couple employees. So always double check with online sources especially if they don’t sound confident 😂.

I bought over 6 truck loads of top soil to put in my garden. I lost about 80% of my vegetables and herbs because it only has dirt,sand and wood in it. I am so mad because now I have to get more soil to put in my garden, I have to spend another $200.00. To get good soil.

Star Nursery is the ONLY place we buy plants in Nevada. They won’t carry plants or trees if they won’t survive in our area. All their plants carry descriptions which is helpful when choosing plants and trees. Their newsletter is a great source for garden tips and timely information. They have several locations. We don’t bother to go anywhere else.

Workers know their stuff about plants, bugs, trees & care of them. They have great sales and I saved a bundle on pottery and trees /shrubs. Going to plant them at a later date after I dig up dead tree. The guys there were fantastic helping me find the best desert water conserving trees & shrubs. Wanted to be sure I picked ones that could survive if I wasn't able to water them.

I’m very disappointed about our visit today. We had some questions about gravel and ask for help from an employee. First we got send away to a different employee, after we found the to us described employee we ask politely for help. The person did not greet us, did not look from her current activity which was sorting plants, she answered our questions in rude and short sentences which gave us the feeling that we should know it already. She send us away again to look at the gravel yard by ourselves. Afterwards we ask again the lady at the check out about the rock price calculation- she was also not able to help us further in detail. At the end we left the place without placing an order. It looked like they don’t want our business of approximately $ 5.000. Sad, very sad!

I have purchased approx 8 trees from this place. I only have 4 left, the rest have died or are in the process. They will not come to help plant or deliver. They rarely have any people with knowledge past novice level on their lot.On the other hand we purchased 3 trees from MOON NURSERY in Henderson. They had so many staff on hand we were there less than 5 min before being driven out to the trees we were interested in by golf cart! Talk about service!!Not only did they deliver the trees but planted them and gave me advice concerning the Star Nursery trees that were struggling to survive. The MOON NURSERY crew literally save my cotton woods life, to which I am grateful.Star Nursery needs to send their workers to MOON NURSERY to learn customer service and how to care for trees/plants properly.Stop buying half dead trees from them, if the plant has NO LEAVES its NOT HEALTHY no matter what they say!I gave them two stars because the cashiers always friendly but that's it! I'm done buying my trees from them!!

My husband and I are seniors and bought 10 plants. Some were heavy. Not one employee offered to help. They were all busy talking. Just a FYI employees need to be aware of the shoppers incase they need assistance.Thank you.

Decent place to buy plants but they pick and choose what days to sell their "soil" it's ok quality and for them to decide not to sell it randomly on a week day is frustrating. Not because they are sold out or anything but just "not selling it today".

Bad. I went Nd get a couple plants.. I got me only the ones on sale....so I figured how much am. Gonna spend. Less then $30... ND they charged me almost $50...Isn't the first time...so be careful ..with those SALES. ON NURSERY GARDEN.

Great local nursery, friendly knowledgeable staff. Fairly good sales and clearance prices. Only down side is christmas tree are way to expensive and never enough reasonable price trees in stock! Also please offer more living trees!
