This place is amazing. They do a lot of great things for animals. Pat loves what she does and is very passionate about it, and so is her staff. Everyone is very friendly, polite, and care deeply about their cause and the animals. We actually adopted a puppy, and he fits right into our little animal tribe. What's amazing is that this place is run completely on donations! A lot of heart, soul, and caring go into everyday operations. It's definitely worth stopping by to donate, volunteer, or adopt.

I recently adopted this good boy today at Bobs smoke shop located on basin rd. He is so calm, well mannered, and so smart. He already knows how to sit! I want to thank all the people that volunteer here that take care of these animals because I know they take the time to spend time with them and give them love. He has some siblings left if anyone wants to adopt I highly recommend. He’s apart of the family now. Thank you Bob for doing this.

This shelter is run on bare bones, short staffed, yet somehow, they make it happen. All animals are well taken care of and loved. Miss Pat is an angel. Donate what you can. Food, time, blankets, toys, leashes, harnesses. They deserve that and more.

Patty is absolutely a great person....I rescued one of the best dogs I have ever had from never forgotten, patty is a very kind person and not afraid to help as much as she can.... besides my wife of course buddy is my best friend.......

We just lost our dog, rescue from the shelter, 16 years old. Had him for 24 hours and found he had parvovirus, 2000.00 we paid for vet bills, 16 yrs later he passed, went to tractor supply found one, going to adopt and was told it would be 350.00,, I asked if he had papers she laughed at me, didn't appreciate that, was told vet bills she explained having shots, fixed etc, our town offers a clinic that does same for practically nothing. Supposed to be nonprofit, don't get me wrong I know there's expenses but that's why there's donations, hell your web site is more about money (donations) than the animals. it's all good but it shouldn't be about money, 350.00 really, no wonder why you need people to volunteer personal homes until adopted. Very disappointed and will tell anyone and everyone. What a joke.

I have never been to the facility nor met Pat in person, but none the less she has touched my life and that of my cat profoundly. I'm not even a Pahrump or Nevada resident but that didn't matter to Pat she just saw a cat in need of veterinary care and within minutes I was driving Miss Embers to the vet to be seen for a snake bite. With one call Pat helped me to breathe again, to not feel desperate and alone, but to feel seen and embraced. The team at the Animal Care Center was amazing also. Because of so many wonderful hearts my kitty is all purrs, cuddles and play again.

I walked through the facility and all of the dogs and cats I saw were clean and healthy. The staff was very pleasant and seemed well informed about the animals under their care. If I'm ever in the market for another pet to adopt I would definitely include this facility in my search.

Oct. 2023 - The thrift shop has moved to behind NAPA auto parts on Dandelion & 160. Open Wed Fri Sat. Met Maxine there, what a lovely fun loving lady. Bought 2 tickets to their holiday auction in December.Jan 2024 - Went to the new location on David for the animal shelter to donate towels and bedding. They have a nice well organized set up for the critters. The staff is very friendly. The day I went they had a yard sale of donated items and pet adoptions going on.April 4, 2024--Met up with a colleague from Princess Cruises who recently relocated to our fair town!

All these volunteers & Pat work very hard for these animals. They have a Thrift store with lots of great stuff and they work hard to keep it well organized. Great group she has!! We as a community should all contribute volunteer time or funding whatever we can even if it's just a few dollars. If everyone did it, would take a ton of stress off all these people who are caring for them. They shouldn't have to want for anything!

The owner Pat Tasker has a good reputation as well as the rescue itself. The premises were clean and it presented itself professionally and I had read positive reviews and personally talked to prior adopters directly. I had a lot of confidence in dealing with them in adopting a surrendered chihuahua that she had just gotten. I asked all the right questions and got questionable responses, she "didnt know" or seemed to be hesitant to respond, later some of her responses proved to be made up. She wanted payment prior to my picking up the dog which sent up some flags but I felt this dog was meant to be mine and I made payment in full, $150 negotiated from $250. In a couple of visits she mentioned they were fundraising and struggling financially.Bottom line, without going into the fiasco of the questionable spay clinic whose anaesthesia machine failed to work that day, a constant unwillingness on her part to update or contact me ("she cant call back 50 people every day") and my concern for the dogs welfare, I opted to take the dog to a reputable vet service who diagnosed her with a respiratory illness, heart murmur and a floating kneecap (which Pat said was sore muscles and would heal quickly). She refused to give me paperwork and threatened to report the dog as being stolen if I did not return her. I dont feel that she is dishonest, just that she is very stressed and perhaps not coping with a strained financial situation. I hesitated at posting this review but think that until, or if, she gets matters under control, that potential adopters should be very careful. I hope that things get better for her snd am now caring for a sweet, handicapped, abused little dog who deserves better than shes had in life.

While traveling, my wife and I stayed in Pahrump for three weeks.We volunteered to walk and play with dogs at Never Forgotten Animal Society.While we interacted with the dogs (we could have taken all of them), we had the blessing to get to know Pat.We soon came to realize that Pat has a heart for all the animals that is as big as the moon.Please consider adopting an animal from this very caring shelter.Not ready to adopt? Then seriously consider donating to their cause.Definitely 5 stars for this shelter.

They kept my dog, and would not give her back to me. I had a house fire, and they took her (my dog) in, and lied about the paperwork, and she almost died by being put outside in winter at night. I paid her a hundred a month to help with her room, and board. I also paid to have her fixed. Now she wants $500.00 or more before I get her back. Really sad.

We got a rescue puppy from here just over a week ago. We took him back to get his injections and when he realized where he was he was so excited. Obviously he had been happy when he was staying there. So 5 stars from puppy. Just to say that he was also excited when he got home too 😉
