I purchased a 135-gallon aquarium from Blue Reef a few months ago. A week after purchase I noticed there was a slight chip / defect in the corner of the tank. Donna reached out to the manufacturer on my behalf to determine if there is a risk for a leak in the tank. The manufacturer confirmed there is no risk but since it's a defect in the part of the glass it would be covered under warranty. I decided to keep the tank as is since there is no risk for a leak. Donna was simply amazing in that she stood by the product that was sold to me. She made sure I was happy and offered to replace it with a new tank under warranty. The store is clean, fish are healthy, and prices are reasonable. The best part is the after-sale support on products and livestock. I recommend Blue Reef as one of the premiere fish stores in Vegas. Support our local small businesses that care for the customer. Thank you for your great service.

Super clean/super organized/very helpful and healthy fish. I love how everything is visible. Bought engineer eel/Lawnmower blenny and cleaner shrimp one of our go to. They have both saltwater and freshwater no doubt this was established in Vegas for a reason. So many fish lovers. Support your local business I’m happy we found this. Meant to write this review earlier. My kids asked to come inside the store and look at the fish as we were walking to get something to eat about two weeks ago. My kids and I had bad vibes soon as we walked in the store things just felt awkward. My daughter said mommy one lady is following us around the store. And then on the way out there was a lady and a man who kept staring a the registrar lady was basically breaking her neck to see what my kids were doing. I’m not sure what their problem was, did they think we were going to steal some fish or what, would we have been more welcomed if we were a different race, umm. They weren’t even touching the aquarium just looking so what’s the problem. Then as we left the lady at the counter said in a funny style have a good day. Terrible experience don't recommend, in the future if we do get fish it certainly won’t be from there.

I have donated more than $200 worth of fish to this place. Today i went to this fish store and instead of being friendly, i was told I cannot enter the store with my drink. That i had to leave it on the register counter. I felt like a little kid being in trouble.I decided to buy a Fluval spec 2.6 aquarium and i asked the woman (owner of store) if i could have a small discount because i have been donating alot of fish lately to her, and she has been selling them for profit. Anyway she said no because she has a contract with fluval and she will get in trouble. I understood that. I picked something else and when they ringed me up they were not even nice enough to give me a small discount as a thanks for all of the fish that i have been donating to them. I will never go to this place again. All they think about is money and don’t care about making their loyal customers happy. Next time i have more fish to donate i will go somewhere else to donate them. When you shop here and you ask for customer service, they respond like they hate their job and they are forced to work there.

2 stars seems sufficient for the service I received. Things happen but for a first time customer this is unfortunate and will effect my future choices when purchasing fish on this side of town. I purchased a Needle nose gar, pink tail chalceus and 10 mollies. After getting home I noticed the gar had a significant amount of damage to his nose. He smashed his face on the glass while the fish keeper was trying to catch it. There were also burn or scrape marks on the top of the gars head. 3 days after I purchased the fish the Gar was found dead in the tank. The chalceus is fine and the mollies are fine so no indication of water quality. None of that damage was present when I looked at the gar in the tank at Blue Reef Aquatics.

UPDATE******To the owner,My review was a tale of my experience at your business. I don't take issue with your policy. I was in compliance and explained to my child about being respectful of rules and respectful of the fish inside the store. Your response is an excellent example of the customer service people could expect in your overpriced store. Thankfully the timing works, as my family is planning a large purchase and now we know to spend elsewhere.Brilliant 👏My daughter spent her last dollar on a slurpee. We thought we'd enjoy a fun time with some fish, come up with some Christmas gift ideas, and share a treat. The store has a no drink policy so we carefully placed or treat behind a bench at the door. When we came out someone had thrown it away. So, insted of a wishlist for Santa we walked home with tears

Awesome Store and Staff! Donna (Owner), and Michelle helped me out with a problem fish yesterday. The store is huge and they have a ton of fish and everything you can think of for your Aquariums. Got some really cool rocks for my Cichlid aquariums and a couple of really nice larger size Plecos. I highly recommend this store. I am so glad I found it and will never go anywhere else from now on.

Best fish shop in town. No one else compares. Excellent selection of saltwater fish/coral and freshwater fish/plants. Look no further. If you need it. Chances are they have it. They pretty much stocked my entire new planted tank build.

***update*** They have to a much larger location, same parking lot. even better now.. I Get all my fish questions answered and pick up very cool fish every time I visit. Very cool. Thanks to the staff. If you need fresh water fish help, ask for Rafael. He's the best.

The selections of plants and corals are great, and the staff are really friendly. The tanks in store all seem healthy and well looked after. I haven't had any problems with anything I've purchased.

Great little store with very friendly staff. Got me a cool little African Spotted Climbing Perch (Leopard Ctenopoma). Hes made it through the first 24 hours with zero issues, very healthy, and very cool! Never seen one before.

Always such a pleasant shopping experience as well.I have had their team move my tanks twice now from two different homes and I wouldn’t use anyone else to do it.Their prices are fare and the two guys who moved it were pleasant, professional and fast.Great place for corals, fish and supplies!

Probably the best aquarium I’ve been to. Very clean, great selection of fish and products with reasonable prices. Very humane section of bettas (none of that cup garbage you see at big box stores or even small shops). Very friendly and helpful staff. Will be going here for all our aquarium needs!

I wanted to try a new place and I brought my daughter after her therapy so I happen to stop by this place. As I walk in I was approach for help, I simple said I would look around. After seeing some fish I approach one employee who helped me. As I am asking question this elder lady Michelle approach us and was making the employee uncomfortable then it seem like she wanted me to make the purchase short. The guy was so nervous I just felt bad for him. I asked if i could get the non pregnant ghost shrimp and she said that if the employee has to search for the ghost shrimp then it will be 2 dollars for ghost shrimp. This came to me like a scam she was running. After my autistic daughter was being held by my wife when my wife said she was so uncomfortable by the lady just walking behind her. So I told my wife she could wait in the car. The entire time in there I felt rushed and the lady just kept an eye on me. She came off as rude and unwelcoming. My wife and I agree well never come back or recommend this place to any of our friends and family.

An ok place, we drove almost 30 minutes here to find out we got directions to the wrong fish store but we came in anyway. Only the young girl here paid any attention to us and was very kind and helpful. They do military discount which is nice.We were looking at the flowerhorns and we wanted to see which ones were aggressive enough to follow our finger, we were not tapping the glass when one of the associates rudely said to stop tapping the glass if we weren’t planning on purchasing. We ended up purchasing one and some other tank stuff anyway with the help of the young girl.Negative star because the customer service could be better with the other associates, store itself is very clean and fishes are well taken care of though.

The guy who helped us get our fish was nice, but the manager on shift Donna was unnecessarily rude. She was giving annoyed and dirty looks at both us and her employee when we were only there for three minutes getting gourami. Then, when we were charged 18 for two we asked if they were 4.99 becaus that's what the tanked was marked at. She just laughed at us and said no. Never coming here again.

If you are looking for more than just a fish store, this is the place.The store is well laid out, bright and very clean. This goes for the tanks also. They carry both greasy and Saltwater livestock. They seem to also have fish that I do not normally see. These things are great but what sets them apart is their knowledge and willingness to help.They are literally the farthest store away from me but since I found them they are now my fish place and I’ll go nowhere else.

I purchased a 75 Gallon tank and stand with overflow, sump, led lights, skimmer, return pump, 60lbs live rock and 40 lbs sand from Damon. Set up was easy, but didnt come with a durso. Damon was extremely helpful and professional as usual and explained the steps and was very easy. I had some issues with noise to the tank, but Greg suggested that i upgrad the durso pipe from 1" to 1.25" the difference in the sound was night and day. Ive been visiting Blue Reef Aquatics on and off for 4 years and the first tank I have purchased from them i have no regrets. Thank you Blue Reef Aquatics for your outstanding service!

Place is far up there! Love it though. A young man helps me most times I go there I think he is about 17-18 and he is so knowledgeable and friendly! I didn’t catch his name but definitely a good guy. Good selection of corals and freshwater fish. Would like to see more freshwater plants. Most times I go they don’t have anything. Maybe they sell fast? Idk their freshwater displays are gorgeous but they sell none of those same plants. It’s unfortunate.

Absolutely love this place! Staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Always have a great selection and tanks are super clean. I enjoy talking to the staff about any "problems" I'm currently having and they always have advice.

Probably the cleanest, healthiest looking fish shop I've ever seen. The tanks aren't overly crowded compared to a lot of shops. A couple planted display tanks to show good husbandry both in the freshwater and marine sides. Plenty of room to browse without feeling cramped. Adequately staffed if you need assistance. Lots of nice aquarium kits in a range of sizes, supplies galore. As someone who used to work at a tropical fish shop, I know how much work and dedication it takes to keep up with all the maintenance while juggling customers. Thoroughly impressed!

I love this fish store, Customer Service at least in the reef section is great.The fish here are so healthy! In my old fish store I'd buy a cardinal and it'd die in a week. When I bought from this store it didn't. My cardinal is probably immortal and is fat and healthy. They have a great clownfish selection and they are where I got my Wyoming white clown. I would highly recommend this fish store more than any other that I've seen so far. Good Job Blue Reef Aquatics.

Much like a previous reviewer my fiance and I were driving around the city checking out the fish shops that carried marine fish and supplies as I'm setting up a small saltwater tank in addition to my larger established freshwater tank. I found this shop to be reasonably priced on many of the items and the livestock. The owner guy was very helpful and was full of information in regards to setting up our tank. Very much worth the 35 min drive from across town. The tanks are beautifully maintained. A+ shop, will definitely return for livestock after cycling my tank for a bit.
