Best and only place in Mina, between Hawthorne and Benton, for a tasty meal. The tacos looked exactly like pic…fresh. A much better alternative to McDonald’s in Hawthorne or Tonopah. Five stars for delicious grub and bravery of owner to operate in said location.

This place is totally worth the stop!Amazing food. Great and friendly service. After reading some reviews, we decided to give La Casita a try.I picked up a chicken and veggie quesadilla and the hubs had a chicken burrito to eat a bit further down the road. They were flavorful, fresh, and very satisfying. We will be back next time we're traveling through here...Vegetarian options: Most items can be made vegetarian.

We stopped by on our way home from Las Vegas, to Oregon. We ordered 3 pastor tacos, 3 carne asada tacos, and a chicken burrito.The tacos were awesome good spice and super tasty. The green salsa was top notch.The chicken burrito is probably one of the best burritos I have ever had - the mixture of grilled onions (white and green), well seasoned meat and rice, and those stellar beans.I would definitely stop in again - and I will think of that burrito often.

Absolutely the best you'll ever eat! The food is out of this world and the owner is a blessing to anyone that stops by. Fresh, hot and delicious cheeseburgers and fries are perfectly cooked! The burgers are not thin, flimsy soybean burgers! They are real, ground beef and pattied fresh when ordered! A huge selection to choose from. Do yourself a favor and stop here for your next meal. You'll be glad you did! They also so have ice cream and breakfast! As a Kentucky Southerners, we know good food! Side note: this is NOT truckstop burgers or food. I will gladly pay a little more for real food opposed to frozen soybean food. It is truly very well priced for what you get and amount you get. Anyone that thinks truck stop serve real 100% ground beef hasn't had to eat at one in about 20yrs. If/when I'm ever back I will stop in every time!

We have heard great things about S'Socorro's while we were in Mina. It seems to be a favorite of all repeat travelers through this highway. When we were there, roughly 7 semi trucks pulled in for their trip. A couple truckers stated they stop everytime traveling through Mina to get their favorite handmade burger.Burgers are handmade and have everything you expect from a real Ma and Pop burger joint. Now since it is handmade it does take a while to get the food when ordered. I believe when we went it was only the owner cooking. A couple regulars said she usually has 2 others helping her.It was well worth the wait and I surely will be back. The burgers were fresh and juicy. The onion rings were some of the best onion rings I have had. The French fries were the skinny Christy kind.I have been told in the summer when she brings out the Ice-cream truckers and travelers will fill the oversized parking lots fully.I guess she is ready for retirement and has listed it for sale. Who ever is the next owner will have a long list of regular customers.I even brought a sticker to put on the window. Can you figure out which one?

If you ever find yourself in Mina, NV, first ask yourself some tough life questions like why the hell am I in Mina, NV and then for your answer, go to LaCasita and get the green chilies burger with bacon. You will know why. My root beer float was great too. I was not feeling the onion rings however. Not sure if they need new fry oil or what but we did not care as much for them. Food is expensive ($18.00 for burger and 0-rings) but it is good stuff.

I used to stop here to get a Cheese Burger...This place used to be "Soccoro's Burger Hut" I don't know what happened? But it looks like they sold it, it is now "La Casita". I did get a Cheese Burger however it wasn't quite the same, good just not the same, they used sweet pickles, instead of dill (I prefer dill) other than that it was good.

Great stop for a great meal!My burger was excellent! Hand made patty piled high with fixins!My wife said her corndog was great!The tater tots were great also!Very nice older ladie cooking up the awesomeness! I think she's the owner.Very convenient as it's on the main highway.There's a few picnic tables to sit at and a couple tables to stand at.The price is fair for the quality and portion size.Don't pass this place by! It's worth the stop.

So we travel from Pahrump to Reno and already aware that you need to keep your fuel tank full because you may not see a gas station for 100 miles. Past through Goldfield and it is definitely a place of interest. A real ghost town and ghost dont need fuel. In the middle of nowhere we find this burger joint. No gas, just burgers. We had to stop. If you take this route you must stop in. The burgers were excellent and we enjoyed the stop. The owner was amazing with an amazing story. Good hunting!

Very colorful and friendly staff. The burgers are fresh and hand made each order. Flat top roasted bun makes it a top contender in this country. Now the tater tots were the crispiest possible, and were a perfect side for a burger of this quality. Didn't get any tamales. Maybe next time. You would be hard pressed to find anything better.

Absolutely delicious food. You can tell this man puts a lot of love into this adorable food shack and the cuisine. Shaded area for the tables to eat without being under the sun. The bathroom is very clean as well, just have to ask for a key which I appreciate for the security.The portion is definitely filling too, he loaded those and grilled bacon burgers to perfection.There is a little wait time but it is so worth it. It's a one man operation and he has quite a selection of food to choose from. If you are ever driving through Mina, NV , please stop by and support this small, local business. Such a friendly guy and so hard-working. Tip him well for the excellent service too. He deserves it. <3

We rolled through mina and always heard about the famous burger hut there, so we decided to stop. We had the bacon cheese burger and tots. It was so good, probably one of the best burgers ive ever had. Dont waste your money at mcdonalds or burger king in different towns, eat here! the staff was so friendly and funny. Stop here and eat if you’re passing through.

Best burger hut in the great state of nevada. I visited once in 2012, and then again with my fiance in 2019. Socorro is still there and still an absolute delight to talk with. Her food tastes like a delicious home cooked meal your grandmother would make and is made with all the love in the world. I sent a letter with these same pictures to her like I said I would, i do hope she got em!Shes the nicest lady with the most interesting and amazing stories you'll ever hear. And her food, oh man her foods to die for! I hope to make it again in 2020 to come up and see her. Last time we did a day trip just to have her food for lunch.(And yes, in those photos the tan boots I have on are the same boots 7 years apart)
