I’ve been bringing my companions to Spencer Springs for over 12 years - the care my dogs and cats have received has been absolutely excellent. The Medical Director, Dr A, has provided absolutely the best care ever for my geriatric pit bull and her very thorough examination when she initially me him helped us minimize a very serious condition. She definitely extended his life and the quality of his life. The front office staff is exceptional in every way, Amber in particular always goes out of her way to make sure we are well and promptly taken care of. I can’t stress enough the excellence of the treatment that we have received from these two caregivers. Raider also wants to express his thanks for his excellent care!

The professional began when I made the initial appointment and continues today. I’m new to Nevada and chose this business based on reviews and they were on point. I’m a happy pet owner and my puppy Luna is too. The Vet took time to let Luna get comfortable with her and the appointment did not feel rushed. The rooms are clean and there is no lingering odor that you find with some Vet hospitals.

Great customer service in every way from Amber at the front desk.... always friendly and goes the extra mile to help me and my cats... Dr "A" is tops and seems to really enjoy seeing my crew come in...her assistant Justin is always there to help make a visit easier for the kids... Highly recommend!!

I've been going here for the past 20+ years. 10 dogs total of my own and have referred and brought many more dogs here. The people here have always been amazing, kind ,and caring. Hell, I even remember spending a night in the cage in the back with my boy and Dr. Hicks. I have to scratch my head at a new deposit on appointment policy. I personally have never missed or been late to an appointment. Maybe this is their way of firing me as a customer. Thank for all the great years.

All my animals have gone here, such amazing staff and so compassionate. After 9 amazing yrs with our Cane Corso, we sadly had to put her down. The staff when we arrived absolutely amazing gave us time and so informative of the process. It is a horrible feeling loosing a fur baby. This vet as well had been in our dogs life since she was 6weeks old. I thank them for all they did to try and save her. I thank all the staff for comforting my family. Lots of love to the staff and thank you all for looking over Laya Bean ❤️

Spencer Springs Animal hospital has the most caring and professional team. I’ve been going there for years and I’ve never had a bad experience. My pets get great care and when the issue arises I’m confident we’ll be taken care of. It’s a busy practice, appointments are scheduled far in advance but you can always walk in if something urgent happens. Thank you for your kindness and the level of care you provide.

SAVED MY FUR BABY. My 11 year old shih tzu was suffering for MONTHS , not sure of what, i was with a previous vet who tried to get her better, she went from being 15lbs to 8lbs within a few months, not eat , not socializing, nothing. She smelled, her skin was thick and she would scratch herself until she bled and she had no fur left on her body/face (see photos). $1200 with another vet with ZERO results finally i came here, i was seen quickly , the vet was amazing and really communicated with me , she would call/text to make sure my questions were answered, 2 weeks later new medication, medical baths my baby was eating again, wanting to be cuddled again and her fur was growing back!photos show how she was the day i went to this vet and how she looks today (3 months later) ! THANK YOU!

Three of the hardest things to find, in my opinion, are a good primary care doctor, a good dentist, and a good vet. I decided to bring my dogs to Spencer Springs after hearing good things from a friend. My experience from start to finish was nothing less then perfect. The front office staff were beyond helpful over the phone and helping me set up my initial appointments as well as getting information and files set up ahead of time to make my check in seamless.Once in the back, I was lucky enough to get Dr. Susie Costa. She is very thorough and cares for your pets as if they are her own. She is very straightforward and does not believe in over treatment and over vaccination unlike big-name vets like Banfield. I’m glad I came to Spencer Springs animal would completely recommend.

Never actually went because situations required us to get out pet in faster at another location however their website and appointment scheduling online is great and the staff still contacted us to verify our appointment and continued to stay in touch to be sure things were taken care of at another vet. I will definitely give them a try with our other pets.

We have a new puppy that is about six months old now. His name is Sebastiane.We recently had to take a trip out of town and were delighted to find out that this animal hospital does do boarding as well. We went on a tour of the boarding area and we’re delighted to find that there is a back doggy run.When we got our puppy dog back after staying here for a week, he was in great shape, clean and I could tell there was some love involved in his upkeep.

Our dogs have been patients at Spencer Springs for over 20 years. Dr. Costa is very knowledgeable and the entire staff is great. I am always 100 confident that I am being given the best advice and that they are recommending what is actually necessary. Basically, they treat their patients as if they were their own pets.

Uncaring service..I took my dog in for Check up and he had an ear Infection and The assistant Shoved a tube cream down the dog's ear and made him scream -- then another time my other dog had a splinter in her foot and said she needed an " operation " to remove it . And then did a Bait switch by Quoting me a price of 375 to 400 and then charging 425 . Not to mention the Servants at the desk was extremely rude about it . I'll never taking my dog's back here again .

Once you know how to work the system here. Place is good. Better than almost all vets I have tried in Vegas. Vet seems to be able to diagnose pets issues easily and quickly. If you get a woman to answer the phone, they’re very helpful. A couple times I had issues with the male. But I do recommend the vet. They get things done just not the way you would be used to.

I've taken all my dogs here over the last 11 years. The staff and physicians are all very nice. Never had a complaint. They've taken good care of our newest rescue, Claude. Poor guy has allergies and has been going for shots. They knew right away what was wrong with him.

Everyone at Spencer Springs Animal Hospital is so friendly and kind. The facility is warm and inviting and fun deco. The front and rooms are immaculate. Dr. Kosta is the best! We take both of our babies there. One Havanese and one Shi-Poo.

Honestly been taking my dog here for years. My most recent experience soured my opinion with them. The front desk woman was just extremely hostile this time around. I asked her to check on my dog who was getting shot in the back and the response was said in such a hostile response of well they are probably waiting for the vet and she slammed the door to go back and check. The women who returned with my pup explained they were waiting for the vet to administer the shot was WAY more pleasant in her delivery and the way you explained. I wasn't demanding or rude just wanted a piece of mind that my baby was doing ok. Never had any problems here before, but this time around was not good. Vets are always pleasant and all other front desk personnel are as well. Maybe she had a rough morning, just did not expect such hostility for a simple question.

10/10!!My big dumb mutt just spent 5 days here after eating a throw pillow and getting himself sick within an inch of his life. They got us in within an hour on a Saturday. Dr Hohn was professional and compassionate throughout. I work in a human ICU, and she took the time to work through the symptoms, diagnostics, lab work to get a full clinical picture of what was going on to establish the right treatment plan. He ended up needing some pretty major abdominal surgery. She called daily with updates. The staff was incredibly gracious when I came in daily to visit my pup, including bringing my two young children in twice during his stay. Incredibly satisfied with his care from the entire staff. And the way they cared for us humans in our emotional distress too.

Honest, forthright, friendly and professional. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Update - Aug 29, 2019 The handful of negative reviews are concerning because the rest of us have never experienced anything worse than waiting a bit too long for our appointment. Why? Because Dr. Costa leads a team of energetic, professional, and compassionate staff. But, they are never too busy to stop and chat, cut your dog's nails (even though that's not why you're there) or gently remind you about cleaning you fur baby's ears... 8-)

Knowledgeable, compassionate, honest. This vet clinic has efficient, caring doctors and staff. We took our Yorkie to see Dr. Hannah Smolinski for updated shots and a checkup and we appreciate her patience and time to answer all our questions, of which we had many. We also appreciate that she was honest about whether our dog needed his teeth cleaned this year, since he'd had it done last August at a different clinic. She said he had minimal tartar and could wait another year. Some vets upsell that option aggressively whether the dog truly needs it or not, and charge a boatload of money. We're happy with this veterinary clinic.
