The staff treats you like family, have bought multiple reptiles and they know what they are talking about. My two ball pythons are fantastic. The owner Thomas is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you need anything for your scaled babies drop in for a visit.

We have been in the process of adopting a snake for years and finally stopped in to get info. The first staff attendant (whom I believe is Cristina) was incredibly pleasant, knowledgeable, extremely professional, and helpful. I'm beyond impressed with this company and especially this location. She even went out of her way to pass along the owners phone number so I could have yet another resource. He was just as approachable and informative.We went in the next day and spoke with another attendant named Allie. We really put her to the test because we had more prepared questions and spent probably close to two hours there! She went above and beyond for our visit by explaining everything I was curious about in great detail (showing isopods, handling the critters, showing personal photos, additional resources, etc.)These staff members and owner are top notch. We can't wait to visit again to continue our enclosure and adoption journey.

I just recently picked up 2 Painted Agamas and I love them. They had good habitats for the animals in the shop and also very good customer service. Would highly recommend for anyone buying a good and healthy reptile 100%

This reptile shop should be an example of cleanliness and expertise for all shops in town. The employees are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable about any of your reptile needs. I tend to have random questions and they always happily oblige. Also, something impressive is that everytime I visit this store there’s someone cleaning the enclosures. If you’re unsure of where to go for reptile care and needs this is your place.

Friendly and knowledgeable reptile store in North Las Vegas. It can be difficult to find food for your friends with scales and tales this place is pretty consistent with their selectionand sizes. I do usually call before I make the trip to check that they have what I need.

We hired them for our kid’s 5th bday party. Super exceeded my expectations. Brought like 10-12 animals for our party. Two guys, so natural and kind with both our kids and the animals. The best time! Would recommend without hesitation. Seriously considering getting the neighbors to host a summer afternoon event when the kids are out of school. It was a HIT!!!

Got a snake from them that had upper respiratory. When I asked for a replacement they refused. They said they needed the vet documents, however I've called them Several Times since March 10th addressing the issue, left several messages to NO response at all. Not even a call back. I shared my call log with the owner and everything!

The girls that work there are very knowledgeable and friendly! We go every weekend for crickets and whatever else we need. Definitely recommend if you're a reptile lover.

I came in looking for a good setup for my new beardie Jasper. I definitely came to the right place! Vincent was super helpful & professional. He answered all of the questions I had, and helped me choose the perfect tank set up for my bearded dragon. They have a great selection of products to choose from. Vincent was also very knowledgeable and I’m very grateful all of the help and great information I received! Excellent customer service!

Buyer beware, they'll con you into buying things inappropriate for your animal. Sold me a Bearded Dragon "kit" and said it was adequate for an adult Dragon, including everything the animal needed to thrive. Not only was the kit incomplete for basic Beardie needs, the enclosure itself is absolutely too small for an adult. I thought I was trusting someone who knew more than me- just got conned out of $315 and I'll need to replace everything. SHAME ON YOU!

I'm so thankful for their pet boarding for my 3 reptiles. A emergency evacuation at my house left me without my tanks and lights while we live in a hotel. This wonderful place has been helping me care for my Rosie Boa, King Snake and my Brarded Dragon while we deal with our emergency.

I came in from out of town and work at a Colorado location. I was curious to see how the store in CO compared to LV. I was blown away not only by the store but by the professionalism of the owner. His passion about this business and the love he has for reptiles was almost overwhelming and so sincere. The variety of animals was vast and encompassing from the blue-tailed monitor (store pet) to the golden hognose and even the invertebrates; kept an avid reptile junkie like me entertained. I was in awe of the owner and his energy as he spoke, never once breaking a professional demeanor, he showed me around the store and you could just see how proud he was of it. If I lived in Vegas this would be the store I would want to go to. In Nevada, this is the Scales n Tails where reptiles truly rule.

Out of all reptile stores this one is by far the best. My husband and I have purchased several animals from them. Recently bought our first snake, a banana boa. They were very knowledgeable and told us the proper care for him. We go to this store multiple times a week to look around. The staff is so friendly everytime we walk in. They always greet everyone that walks in and offers to help them find anything they need. Great job scales n tails

(this review is based on a birthday party experience) HANDS DOWN, the best! Thomas came out to my daughter's birthday party with a generous amount of reptiles. He was so informative and patient with all the kids, giving everyone the opportunity to interact with who they wanted to. I can go on and on with all the great things to say, but at this point you'll just have to book them for yourself. I've thrown my fair share of kids birthday parties in the past, and by far, this was the best element I have ever added to a party.

I love this store. Everyone is really nice and always are very helpful. The only place you can get live rats for snakes in north vegas. They are the best.
