We were looking for a Blue Tongue Skink and having trouble locating. This was our third stop. Vincent helped us and he was great. After visiting multiple reptile stores, we really appreciated the Scales 'N Tales locations. They are very clean, smell great, have helpful staff, and the terrariums are really well maintained and setup like individual ecosystems. It made me feel like they really care about the animals. If you have any reptile needs, I fully recommend Scales 'N Tales.

My boyfriend and I love this place! The employees clearly care about the animals and their customers, especially Vince! He set us up with our amazing new bearded dragon Geralt and helped us find the perfect tank setup. We will never go to another reptile store here in Vegas!

Our daughter wanted a lizard but we were not sure what kind or how big to get. Vincent was so helpful with picking the tank size, food, supplies and Papaya! If you are looking to get a new addition go see Vincent he is the best!

This use to be the go to place. Recently I purchased 200 crickets and I paid for them. Got home and thought it looked short from when I paid. So I counted them. 103 crickets total! 37 were dead when the bag was handed to me. It seems like the more crickets I buy the less I get. Maybe I have to say I want 500 crickets to get my 200 I need for my critters. Tired of being ripped off. This place use to be so much better.

Amazing place! Kids loved looking at the Reptiles, Snakes, Lizards, Turtles and Fish.The staff was absolutely amazing and a customer allowed the kids to touch a Lizard.If you are in too reptiles this is the place to visit.

Do not go to this location if your black. Some of the workers at this location are prejudice against blacks.I went there yesterday to get feeders for my snakes. There was a sale for the feeders(buy 2 get 1 free). The cashier tells me that deal is not for today but it was clearly posted in their store. And he was rude about it.On top of that they're extremely over priced..so don't take your kids here for a pet because it's a rip off...you'd be better off going to pet smart.

If you are looking for your very first snake or any other reptiles for your collection I recommend scales and tails on Charleston and Rainbow Vince and Michael are the best at getting you all set up for owning your very first reptile or any other reptile for that matter they know their job back to front they know what they're doing and they recommend the greatest things for the turtles the snakes or the lizards their store is very clean well organized and they have all the knowledge that you are going to need no matter what reptile you are looking for I recommend scales and tails and Vince and Michael for all of your reptile needs they are the greatest.

Wonderful store, amazing friendly staff. Super helpful and knowledgeable. We drove 2 hours for fruit flies and they held them for us. Will be visiting again, and highly recommend!

I was sold two cups of super worms when I only needed one. They won't let me return that. They also gave me two feeders for my snakes and a plastic deli cup and they died by the time I got home. Super irresponsible way to sell live feeders, and kind of cruel cuz they died for no reason. They told me to come back in and that they would fix the problem for me and give me new feeders, only for me to drive back 20 minutes for them to tell me that no they can't do that. It's against company policy. Literally the last time I will be going to this place. So unprofessional nobody is on the same page. They tell you one thing and then you get there and they tell you something else. I will not be coming back here. Horrible customer service, and horrible animal handling.

Go here to get my dubias for my bearded dragon , always have sales on them every other week or so which is helpful and the dubias are always a nice size and an abundance in each container for what you pay for it's definitely worth it, I have not purchased a reptile from here before though bc I got mine from a breeder in Cali but they do have a wide range variety of some amazing reptiles that always look pretty healthy some I think get donated to them from previous owners who can no longer care for them which is what I was told but don't quote me on that... and even for beginner reptile owners I would recommend a bearded dragon or box turtle and they are very helpful and getting you everything you need to care for your new reptile from terrariums to heat and UV lamps and food and substrate ECT they have it all compared to like a regular PetSmart I'd only get my reptile related things from here bc they are more insightful on what is what when it comes to reptile care.

We have come in a couple times because my daughter (almost 5 years old) has a newfound love of reptiles. She always wants to come back because it’s a really cool place. We stopped in last Friday and my daughter had one of the best experiences of her little life thanks to Vince. Vince saw how interested she was and he brought out several snakes for her to hold, a chameleon, a gecko, and was SO patient and sweet with her, explaining things to her in a simple way that she would understand (how to be delicate with them, what they like and dislike.) He showed her how he feeds them, and we watched a chameleon eat crickets which was awesome for all of us. She was so happy and it was so exciting watching her experience this! You can see how passionate Vince is, and what a kind person to do that for our daughter. He also was really helpful in educating us on what the best reptile will be to get for her, as we’re planning on getting her a pet for her birthday. We ended up buying a new enclosure for her lizards, and it was a really great deal and excellent quality. Thank you Vince for such an awesome experience- a core memory for our daughter and for us too!

Everything here is NOT FOR SALE. Young male employee told me it’s because the whole shop is being treated for mites and Respiratory Infections.If it is for sale it’s mostly been given to them for free and they turn a profit right after receiving it.

I wasn’t planning on buying anything, just wanted to check the place out. I’m impressed with the Tarantulas they have in stock. I ended up buying one and was happy to see it wasn’t crammed into a small plastic container. Good price too! Can’t wait to go in again, and add more Ts to my collection. Keep up the good work. Ricardo was great, we came in to look at spiders, and he walked us through everything we needed to know, showed us all options he had available, and we ended up getting a pink toed antille. This location is always very helpful, and really care about their animals, and customers.

I was very impressed by this store. The enclosures are well kept, the reptiles are cared for properly, the prices are fair, and the staff is helpful! Vincent was friendly, knowledgeable, and he even gave my bearded dragon a nail trim for free :) I will definitely be back soon.

Best prices on feeders and staff is always super friendly! They're very knowledgeable on their products and animals. They're no longer offering the punch cards, and the roaches are measured by weight now

Vincent was amazing helping my son pick the right reptile for his birthday. He was extremely patient answering all our questions and helpful finding the proper set up within our budget. He also was the only one working and handled it super well managing to be attending to every customer an communicating with them all. 10/10 customer service as well as a clean orangized store. Definitely will be returning back to get more reptiles from this store!

Vincent was helpful when getting items for both my bioactive and for my crested gecko. Very knowledgeable. When I had to return an item for something else, he made the process extremely easy.The store has all of the items you need (including feeders) to keep your reptile happy and healthy. The only real "downside" is that the Charleston and the Russell location didn't have a good selection of live plants or cork bark, but I was able to find good pieces.

I always leave completely satisfied with my experience there. I’ve gotten all of my lizards from this exact location and they’re all happy and healthy and thanks to vince I am able properly care for them. I know if I have any questions I can call or ask in person and they are more than happy to help. I won’t shop anywhere else for my reptiles

I get all my frozen rats and mice here! At first it was just because it’s close to the house, but the staff is honestly awesome. They can always answer my questions. Vincent in particular is super personable, knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. You get a 10% discount if you buy 10 frozen mice or rats! Love that. My snakes are happy. My goto place now for sure.

After 5 years coming here im coming back to edit my review to a 1 star. The skinny white boy with greasy hair and a backwards cap on Saturday was atrociously rude. He acts like he could honestly care less about our questions or purchases. I 100% will drive out of my way to a different store, then come back here and have the possibility of that kind of service again.

It is so evident that this place cares about their pets and takes pride in their husbandry. I was quite impressed with their enclosure setups for all the animals. I don't think I've seen a cleaner pet store. The employee working at the time was super friendly and helpful, too.

I adopted an 1 year old tangerine leopard gecko from here about a month ago, and now buy food for here every week or so. The animals that shouldn’t have tankmates never do. Everything in there looks super healthy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And the store doesn’t smell like dead animals unlike the store called exotic pets. I can guarantee any new reptiles I get will be bought from here.
