I've been coming here since last December. Super cool staff. But, this new guy isn't the same vibes. I called the store from Sprouts down the street. I asked if they had pinky mice. The girl that answered the phone said yes. I got there and asked for pinkies. He quickly says no. That they're out. I told him I just called. He said it wasn't him. Obviously. I did see a female employee. But, I didn't feel like arguing. I asked for THREE dozen crickets. He charges me. I pay him, and he starts helping the other customers. I asked him about my crickets. He's like, "Oh, yeah." I get home and there's not even 3 dozen crickets. There's two dozen. Not cool whatsoever. I've already had a rough day. This just made it worse.

Phenomenal customer service!!We dealt first with Shelly and she was the kindest soul in Vegas. She didn't try to rush us out even though we kept her after.Her and the panther chameleon they had were the reason we came back a couple days later. We then dealt with Thomas who had superb customer service. You could tell he genuinely cared about the animals in the shop. He didn't hesitate on any question we had for him.He made it impossible for us to not buy their only panther chameleon so we came back later in the week to take our baby home.The staff and shop itself were:KnowledgeableCaringPatientAffordableCLEAN!

I love this place. Great store with healthy selection, but I can't say enough about how great the staff is. These guys are helpful, knowledgeable and have a passion for Reptiles. I have officially gotten two beautiful snakes from this location. A Blue Eyed Leucistic and a Hypo Jungle Motley Red Tailed Boa. Staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable. It’s always super clean and everyone is so helpful.

We came here to house our iguana Captain Ron. He was getting too big and too much for us to care for. These awesome gentlemen made us feel so comfortable. They really look care of us and now they will find a good home for him.

Was told by the local Petsmart to come here and I was not disappointed. Knowledgeable people and great prices. The got me hooked up with everything I need and then helped me carry it to my car. I will be here for my feeders and my next reptile.

I got my Daughter a 2 year old Leppard Spotted Gecko for Christmas. She needed something to calm her down from a hard day of work and the kid's. The Girl's there are Amazing. They helped me with a Beautiful addition to our family, set up Dragon's tank and schooled me on how to care for our New Baby. Thank you Girl's for your Amazing knowledge and Careing. This place is absolutely phenomenal, as are its staff. I’ve been going here ever since I got my bearded dragon at another location about a year ago for food and occasionally other supplies. Recently, my buddy hasn’t been eating and has been super lethargic. This is obviously a cause for concern and I was about ready to take him to the vet for it; first, I decided to stop here to see what the staff thought since they seem pretty knowledgeable on all things reptile. Immediately, the guy at the desk (I wish I’d caught his name) knew what the problems were and gave his advice on what to do. I ended up going home with a hefty amount of items, including new tank supplies and food, but it was all worth it; immediately when we got home, my boy starts eating and drinking (which he’d never done on his own before!) and running around. I’ve never seen him so happy. Seriously, trust their advice.

Picked up this little guy for my daughter's crested gecko enclosure. Good price helpful staff and friendly. We got there right at open and they were ready to go. Also nice to see a place feed and water and actually care for the pets tell they find a home. We also got a nice cheap rock water bowl. Perfect for us we needed a deeper water bowl now that Hellboy is bigger. He could no longer submerge his whole body. So time for a upgraded lizard pool! They always have the best feeder stuff. Fresh and live just how my little cold blooded friend likes them. We picked up Dubai roaches for a little treat. They let us pick the biggest best one from the shelf. Things like this are called customer service and this day and age are very rare. You can't go wrong with Scales N Tails.

Staff are very educated with the animals they sell. Animals are very well taken care of. Easy going atmosphere. If they do not have what you're looking for right then, they will order it for you. It could be any type of reptile, feeders, supplies, or enclosures. Love the staff too. If you have any type of reptile or are interested in these types of animals, Scales & Tales is really where you want to go! I have heard they are now offering to do Birthday party's or big groups events, they also go to schools to Educate younger children of these wonderful animals.You should definitely check them out. They also have a store located in N Las Vegas off Craig rd. The Craig store is double the size of this location. They have a little more to offer as far as supplies & even reptile/ animals. Again, if this is your type of thing..... I wouldn't hesitate to head to any of their 3 locations (I personally think the Craig location is the best!) Check them out you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!Customer service........... AMAZING!

I have a baby boa, and feeding her gets tricky. I bought a baby mouse/ fuzzy for her. She wasn't ready to eat it. The store was closed so I nurtured and cared for it. When they opened in the morning they took the fuzzy back and gave me a store credit. Thanks guys!!!

Absolutely the BEST customer service EVER!! I recently picked up some red eye tree frogs from them & the owner Thomas and his staff are extremely helpful and answered any and all questions I had! If you’re looking for a new reptile or amphibian I highly recommended this place! All the animals looked very healthy!

Went in right before they closed.The young female working there was courteous and EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE.This lady talked about reptiles and a few different types of bugs that people keep for pets with great enthusiasm, it was a very educational visit.She didn't stress that it was a little past closing nor did she even bring it up.This is where I will go for all my reptile needs from now on.

The staff is really well versed in what they know about all different types of pets they sell they let me know everything I needed to know about my new blue tongue skink I really recommend that you guys should check them out and see what they got to in stock.

I come by every two days for crickets. 30 for $3. You can order as many as you want. They come in different sizes. They have a good source for the smaller size crickets. Our bearded dragon also likes them.

Got a tarantula from this location and Parker has been very helpful on helping me as a new tarantula owner. He’s very knowledgeable about the animals and makes coming here a fun learning experience that feels like a zoo. He’s very approachable when we have questions and never makes me feel bad for not knowing the answer. Very grateful for him!
