This store has been around for a very long time inside of the Fantastic swap meet and unfortunately it has gone downhill drastically. It's a very small shop with mainly small birds and fish and some decorations for those pets. I've unfortunately seen the tanks very dirty, baby turtles in one small tank and there was dead ones in the tank.. A few of the birds seem very stressed as they have missing tail feathers and are just basically pacing the small cage. I went in this past weekend and the tanks were freshly cleaned and no signs of the turtles so I'm hoping the owner can stay on top of it because he's always been a nice man. He's just very hard to track down sometimes.

The owner knows birds and really seems to care for them. It has been a great experience working with him and getting a couple sweet birds to live with from here.

I got 2 zebra tail finch. A new nest, box of string bedding. That was 3 & 1/2 yrs ago and they're healthy, always have been. The guy that helped me was very nice. Much better prices than the big pet store crooks.

This is a great place the gentleman that offers these birds is very knowledgeable and has great care with the birds and very compassionate. I purchased a budging a few days ago I got home and by the end of the day I want to say I had them tamed not 100 but I did and it was with all the advice from the young man there, I will be returning to buy a couple more but that is once I have my bird tamed to the fullest I had a great time with my little bird teaching him to be on my finger how to have more confidence in myself when I stick my hand in the cage other than that or gold is to keep the bird out and free and if you are reading this and want a bird I suggest you go to this gentleman thank you very much.

THERE IS A FAKE FACEBOOK OF THIS BREEDER. REAL OWNER DOES NOT HAVE FACEBOOK !!!! DO NOT SEND MONEY ONLINE. He is a REAL breeder located in shown address on weekends, and does know tons, and treats his animals well. Only reason for 1 star is to gain attention about the Fake FB account so folks don't fall in.

Tried rescuing a bird from “Mark Putscher” on Facebook and he would not accept my PayPal payment unless he processed it from his side. He also wouldn’t call me and when asked he refused saying he is setting up a number but hasn’t yet. Asked for a copy of my DL, a copy of my credit card, and sent me a one time passcode from PAYPAL then asked for it. Absolutely not. Then tells me that I needed to disconnect my card and number from PayPal to “prevent duplicate payments”.. Scam?

Mark is the owner of The Bird Spot great person. He a lot of the time has birds but sometimes not. He has a good selection of cages and travel cages and if he doesn't have it if it is in his catalog he can get it for he can also get the stands to put cages on. He occasionally has dwarf hamsters, tortoises, and turtles. He has a wide collection of freshwater fish, often times crayfish, shrimp, pond, mystery, and ramshorn snails. He does have decorations you can put in the tanks also along with live plants, small lilies, and moss. He has seed for all types of bird, bags of dried egg food and small bags of large fruit pellets. He has millet sticks, large, medium and small mineral blocks, and cuttlebone. He has a small selection of bird toys, swings and natural wood branches. He has bottles to treat the water, medium and large containers of flakes and small containers of pellets also a variety of different betas. He does also have tanks and he usually has everything you need to go with it. He also has different nest boxes for all different types of birds. Another thing he can clip you birds nails and wings for free every other bird store you have to pay. If he doesn't have something you need and it does pertain to his business just ask him and he will almost always be able to get it for you.The birds he has more often are: (in order)(anything else is on the rare side)1.Finches2.Doves3.Budgies4.Cockatiels5.Quails6.Canaries7.Lovebirds8.Parroletts9.Conures10.Canary Wing ParakeetP.S. If you get his number just message him he never picks up the phone2nd P.S. If you see Chewey (the black headed caique) she will go on your hand if she is in a good mood but she also expects a treat. She will you usually start biting your clothes and any jewelry you have on especially if your nails are done. Don't try and get her down with your hand she will bite that's how she got her name just put your shoulder against the cage she was probably most likely on and tell Mark(usually Mark) or me but I'm almost never there(she also only listens to me 80% of the time anyways) if neither of us are there if you have another treat hold it on top of the cage until she gets off you but usually don't grab her when Mark isn't there. Also she does dance for you if she knows she is going to get a treat.3rd P.S. If you do go anywhere else in Las Vegas you will see it is so much more expensive than just going with Mark.But above all elseCHEWEY IS NOT FOR SALE(But a baby will cost you around $1500 usually more(but if it's not on the list above it is on the rare side of birds Mark usually has))
