Our room at the Horseshoe was very dirty. Tub was dirty, bathroom was dirty. Trash under the bed. And the hot tub "is never open". Don't be foolish, the only reason to stay in this hotel is if it's free.

Nothing fancy about this place and we knew that. Didn’t expect to be across the street from the casino. But we really only needed a place to sleep. The room was clean enough and comfortable. The coffee maker didn’t work.We did enjoy a meal and some time in the casino across the street. If you just need a spot for the night this place works.

This hotel reminded us of the shining. A creepy hotel with many be 5 guests in the whole place. (By car count). The location a bit sketchy. There is no staff there except housekeeping. When they are done there is no one. The room was nice. Water pressure in shower was amazing. The pool was great. I was the only one in it. No hot tub available. overall a place to crash. I kept my gun loaded and by my side. But for $40. It is a place to crash on the road

VERY quiet and comfortable. Room did not stink even though it was a smoking room. TV channel selection was very limited, but for the price , it was a very good deal. My only complaint is that the bathroom had some nasty oily handprintsRooms: Beds are comfy and rooms are 90% cleanNearby activities: Casino and golfingSafety: Anyone can get into the building. There are no locks nor securityWalkability: Right across the street from Cactus Pete’s (they own the Horseshu)

What a disappointment! Merely a shadow of her former glory. One of our beds was sagging badly at the head, so you're sleeping with your feet higher than your head. In the middle of the night I was jolted out of my sleep when the bed came crashing to the floor. Looking under the bed to figure out what happened, I discovered that the bed frame had been previously badly broken, and rather than replacing it they simply propped it up precariously with a board turned on its side. The type of repair a drunken chimpanzee might do. There's no staff on property at the HorseShu. They used to post security, but that's a thing of the past. NOT a comfortable feeling for a woman staying alone at night. You have to check-in across the highway at Cactus Pete's, and their guest service has gone from warm and welcoming to snide, surly and unprofessional. They act like they hate their jobs and are determined to take it out on the customers. The HorseShu used to have a casino/saloon and a restaurant with good home-style food, but those are all permanently closed. Her sister casino, Cactus Pete's, used to have a world class buffet...also permanently closed. The Desert Room restaurant used to be a nice place, but the carpet and upholstery haven't been replaced in the last quarter century, and it doesn't look like it's seen a good deep cleaning in at least the past decade. The convenience store had convenient hours, but now they open late and close early.Employees used to complete guest service training and were expected to always treat clientele as guests rather than customers. Now they are treated more like an unwelcome nuisance. It's a sad thing to see it has fallen so far.It seems that once Mr. Neilsen passed on, there's been nobody left who cares about this property that he built, expanded, and nurtured.

Booked the Horseshu. But had to check in across the highway at Cactus Petes. No mini fridge or microwave in any room at the Horseshu. Room dated and smelled like a vet hospital. Ran the hot water tap, the sink foamed up with black specks of debris. Noise from room above me, you can hear every foot step. My room was like being in a drum. This is $45 room at best. Will stay in Twin Falls next trip! Do not stay here.

Stayed 4/23 and 4/24 HORRIBLE!!! Couldn't shower or use the towels. Black hair all over in the tub and black hair all over on the bath towels. Second day came back to a unclean room. Beds not made!!!!! Then to top it off the heater could not be adjusted it ran over 80 degrees tried to turn it down woke up so cold our teeth were chattering freezing cold. Horrible run down!!! The worst Birthday trip I've ever had!!!! 50 thumbs down.

Fist of all the casino that is right next door is shut down. Website doesnt let you know that. Also When booking I really recommend you make sure it has things you might want...like a microwave and fridge... Horseshu doesn't have either and we are in the jacuzzi suite. Staying here for 3 nights, and no where to keep things cold or reheat leftovers. Luckily I forgot our freezer food at home as we only brought a small cooler for drinks. The website also doesn't let you know that the Hot Tub is out of order.. kind of a disappointment.

No refrigerator. No microwave. It got to 34 degrees that night and there was no blanket on the bed. Only the sheets and bed spread. You have to manually turn the heater on to warm up the room and shut it off when it is warm enough. Windows were a mess. I will not stay here again. It used to be a great place to stay when traveling to Idaho. What happened?

Please stay somewhere else. Stopped here on our way to Reno with. 3 kids in July and wished we didn't. We got to our room and it was about 90 degrees inside. They had the air turned off and we had a 3rd floor room facing the sun. We tried to run the AC but it would not cool down the room. I took the cover off the AC to find the problem and the coils were disgusting and had never been cleaned, and thats why it wasn't working. I called the front desk and they only offered to have someone come look at it at 11 at night when our kids were almost asleep. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep because it was so hot in our room. The room itself was very outdated and not very clean. Next time we will go somewhere else.

We reserved a room at cactus Pete but when i called to make sure the reservation were good we were told that cactus Pete was full so we would stay across the street at the horsehu hotel (which was disappointing) but we stayed because we we're extremely tired from a long drive. Not the greatest hotel but the beds were comfortable and clean (yes I'm those kind of people that checks beds as soon as we walk in) the place is out dated so that could be improved and the carpets looked like like they hadn't been vaccumed. For a one night stay it's ok. Only complaint I had was that there were white hard stains on the carpet by the beds..... This place is also pet friendly so you can hear the dogs barking in the hallways.

The room was very clean and comfortable. There were 3 of us plus a puppy and they made our stay very nice. I was kind of sad that the hot tub was not available, we were all looking forward to relaxing in the warm water.

Hot tub is usually closed and occasionally WiFi is not so Great. But if you have Pets they have great Pet Friendly Rooms that are close to the doors and have easy access to take your pets outside.Rooms: Awesome Pet Friendly Rooms.

If you want anything to eat you have to go to cactus Pete's. To check in you have to go to cactus Pete's. The restaurant is permenatly closed. There are no buffets in jackpot anymore. Cactus Pete's and other properties owned by cactus Pete's have really diminished the town of jackpot. Check in personal are not very help full. They don't maintain their walk ways, parking lot or driveways to come in or go out in snow and ice weather all around I give them a total of 2 stars. There is longer a shuttle between properties. The room was outdated outlets are wore out. It gets 2 stars only because the waiter Joey was very pleasant and happy at the desert room restaurant in cactus Pete's.

The Buffalo suite wasn't bad at all! The tub was AMAZING! We would love to come back in the summer when the pool opens! The deck looks so nice!

Every time I venture to Jackpot, I try to stay in this hotel. Regardless of the time of day or night, you can find someone to help you if you need it. Because of the dark and tinted windows and vast casino floor, it is easy to lose track of time. So you should prepare beforehand for that late-night snack or dinner after everything has closed.

Decent cheap hotel. We got a room with two queens, it was clean and didn’t smell like smoke. We also hit the pool which was nice on a July day. The rooms were updated recently but the bathrooms are showing their age. We would stay here again.

We didn't spend any time gambling here but we did stop in for karaoke on Saturday. We had a wonderful time. Despite how busy it was (a bachelorette party and 2 birthdays) the staff was always welcoming and friendly. The karaoke was fun although it seems they need to update their song list to include some of the newer hits. This was the fourth time I've sang karaoke here and, as always, the crowd was enthusiastic and fun. All in all, it was an awesome evening!

The rooms are fantastic the beds are perfect couldn't ask for better. The sheets are amazing. I forgot to ask what kind of sheets they use. Dang it. But I would stay here over and over. And I travel a lot best night sleep ever. Didn't want to get out of bed.

I won't sugarcoat or undercoat this place. I stayed over on a trip from Seattle to Tucson because I wanted to put an extra hour in the rearview from Twin Falls so the remainder of the trip would be shorter. The Horseshu has a new multi-story wing that puts it head-and-shoulders above the remaining casinos in this state-line casino town. You would stay here if you were passing through or have a fondness for gaming. It is not especially scenic. Our room was in the 'annex', which was across the street in what must have been either the earlier version of the Horseshu or another former casino. It was spacious, clean and quiet, which was a relief based on what some might expect from a casino property. I'd estimate that the mid-week occupancy was 20% at best during this Covid II period. The casino was similarly slow.During busier stints, the buffet is highly recommended. The Desert Room was the sole option for dining and the food was very well prepared. 4 stars or so and not expensive. We had breakfast the next morning at Barton's Club 93 (on highway 93) and it was redolent of cigarettes and the food not worth mentioning. Our room was modestly dated, but not worth complaining over. There was a nice swimming pool that was enjoyed by a group of happy kids from other travelling families.Nevada is tricky for driving with the cities spread far apart. Wells, NV is possibly a better choice and is about 70 miles South. Twin Falls, ID has loads of hotel choices and shopping galore, about 50 miles N.
