My mom's cat was taken here for an emergency visit because they were open on a Saturday. I don't know why she agreed to services that she couldn't afford, but they are now holding her cat and will not give it back until she pays $6000.When she tried to pick up her cat, their office cat scratched and bit her and the receptionist told my mom that they had insurance if she wanted to contact lawyer. They refused to even let my mom see her own cat. When I came in to try to help my mom the next day, they had mopped the floor and left it soaking wet. Very dangerous. A lady had come in on crutches with her puppy and others walked on the wet floor which became extremely dirty immediately because it wasn't dry and tracked dirt everywhere.I demanded for the assistant to bring her cat so we could see her because at this point how could we even verify any work has been done. The vet had no idea that teeth had been pulled and my mom's cat had blood all over her face and her fur was very matted. She was supposed to be treated for an anal gland surgery and they added the dental procedures last minute to run up the bill. They are charging her $1500 in transport fees alone. The doctor would not come out to talk to us either. You want $6000 but you can't even tell us how the surgery went or anything about the recovery? The assistant had no idea what surgeries were even performed.I was so stressed out because this cat Also belonged to my grandmother who passed away this year and her funeral was on my birthday. I moved my mom and her cat into my house to help her and now my mom is going to lose her cat too because she can't come up with $6000 in 10 days. She is willing to make a payment plan, but they would rather keep the cat hostage claiming it is their property now and it will be considered abandoned if she can't pay. After our visit I ended up in the ER and fighting off being sick and dealing with so much anxiety from this whole situation.I have made numerous calls to other vets, humane society, 211, 311, lawyers and police. All the vets i called said they have never heard of anyone actually keeping a cat from an owner like this.I have read other reviews about how they try to sell ppl and take their money. Believe them. I wish I could give negative stars for this business.

Amazing! AFV has taken care of our puppy from his first visit to his neuter surgery. All questions were answered with knowledge and professionalism. His surgery went well and he heeled famously, without complication. Any request over the phone is taken care of in timely manner. Dr. Cain is knowledgeable and personable.

I use to love this place but ever since they changed management and increased their pricing to outrageous amounts (we paid in the thousands for things like xrays when we thought our puppy might have broken his leg, it's absolutely insane) we had to leave and look for more affordable vet care. I've also been trying to get the records of my animals for the past year to have on hand for new vets and still have yet to receive them. Tried to have a different vet office (the one on Mountain Vista) try and request them and they still haven't received them either despite requesting from a visit last year. Don't go here unless you want to go into debt because that's what this place did to us.

I love this Vet. Dr. Sneed saved my dogs life. Blaze, my Siberian Husky has ZRD (Zinc Deficiency) he breaks out in plaques and has sores all over his face and paws. I had no idea what was going on with my doggo. He was very sick and had sores on his jaw and eye. He was lethargic and not eating as well as losing weight. he was just not being my husky. Dr. Sneed went into action and did whatever he could to help and diagnose, including bloodwork, biopsies, scrapes for infection, the whole 9 yards. The biopsy came back with ZRD. Dr. Sneed went out of his way to find out everything he could about ZRD because it is quite rare. He called different people and vets to find what we could do as far as medication, food, and lifestyle changes to help my Husky. With his help, he came up with a food and medication regimen to help with breakouts, and with what we are doing, we have had minimal breakouts. Dr. Sneed and Animal Focus Vet Mark's may be on the pricy side. However, you get the care you pay for. They have a state of the art facility, and the staff treat you like family. Dr. Sneed and his staff and facility are amazing, and I recommend them to everyone I know who has a fur baby or any pet. Thank you, Dr. Sneed and Staff Blaze and his family love your animal hospital! Pics of some breakouts and a healthy Blaze.

Ever since they were bought out by “ Animal Focus Group” the service has gone to complete $hit. Long hold times on phone , long wait time even with appointment! Quality of care non existent! Take your pets anywhere else!

My older dog passed away two years ago. Because I didn’t like the care at animal focus and felt that I was constantly being up sold more services that weren’t needed for a geriatric dog, I made a change to a different vet during his last year. Since then, I can’t seem to get off of their customer list and continue to get reminders in the mail, emails which I’ve unsubscribed to, text messages which I’ve reported a spam, but somehow they will not release my personal information and continue to send me their marketing material and reminders about a dog who is no longer with us. I quit going here for a reason, and now my personal privacy info will not be released, two years later. Nobody enjoys getting vaccination reminders about a dog who they lost years prior because the vet can’t figure out how to manage their own records.

I have NEVER been given so much conflicting information regarding a dog that was purchased from Petland and sold to us with a birth defect. I spent almost $1,000 in diagnostics and my dog is limping in pain and was told by the Doctor that Petland is paying for surgery or at least a big portion. When we arrived dog in hand on day of scheduled surgery, we were told it was NOT covered. This vet is contracted with Petland who is irresponsibly selling dogs with genetic issues and leaving new pet parents left to suffer their mistakes emotionally and financially.

What an overall experience from making the appointment to becoming our new “fur”ever vet clinic. Everyone is so caring, thoughtful and kind. My dog Carlie Jo had to have an emergency surgery and Dr Sneed and ALL THE STAFF were amazing and the office is very clean. On a second follow up visit I met with Dr Ellis and she was wonderful. I had asked her a question regarding the amount of food my dog should be eating and a few days later I did receive a phone call from the office with the answer. Everyone at this office is very professional and efficient . I highly recommend this clinic. They truly care about you and your babies. Keep it up ! Next visit we are bringing in the tortoise .

Are you looking to get upsold and haggle like you are buying a car?I've never written a negative review before, but this place is so egregious I feel like I have to.I have had bad experience after bad experience here, but I kept going back because I could always get an appointment quickly and everyone there is polite. The issue comes down to how much they charge for their services, and how they know you will not go get a second opinion because it takes a month to get an appointment anywhere else.I will limit this review to the 2 final incidents:1. My dog had a 1/2" x 1/2" flap on his paw pad. It had probably been that way for a month and I just didn't know it. Looked to me like it could just be snipped off with scissors, but I took him to the vet because I am not an expert. They looked at it and then brought me an estimate for over $2,000. You see, they have to put him under anesthesia, and he's a giant breed dog so blah blah blah. I asked "can't you just snip it off and bandage it?". Oh no, it would risk infection blerghhhhhh. They wouldn't budge. I said this is insane and I'm leaving. After paying the $75 exam fee or whatever.I took him to Green Valley Animal Hospital 3 miles away. I did not tell the story above, I just presented the dog the same exact way I did to Animal Focus. The vet looked at it for 2 seconds and said "I'll just snip this off and bandage it." It was like $90 total.2. I have a 16 y/o cat that needs to have half of his teeth removed. Green Valley Animal Hospital gave me a quote for $1,030. They do not accept CareCredit though. But I know that Animal Focus does, so I call them and take the cat there. I hand them the quote from GVAH with the costs and everything so they can see what they were planning to do. They said "the only thing we would add to this is a chest x-ray". I said fine. Then they brought in an estimate for $3,500. I literally handed them a quote from a day earlier from a very reputable vet. They absorbed that information and then straight-faced told me it costs 3.5 times that. I said "how can it cost OVER THREE TIMES MORE here?". The tech said "well he is old and we want to make sure that he is safe". I said "GVAH has been in business for decades, while you have been in business here for only a few years... and you are saying that they are 'not safe' and you are?!" She said "Well what can we work with?" like a car dealer negotiating. Ridiculous.I have spent thousands of dollars here in just the few years they have been in business. I now know that had I just went somewhere else, I would have the same healthy pets and a lot more money.

There are very big communications issues at this establishment. My advice to anyone that goes here is do not sign anything until you verify services listed are actually necessary and that you are being told trustworthy information. I was lied to by Dani at the front desk as she was clearly not educated on things and instead of asking, she just threw whatever she could out there. On the other hand Dr Cain was great and answered any and all questions I had while being very friendly and attentive to not only our furbaby but also our kids.

All of my pets use this wonderful clinic. They are always friendly, and if they don't know an answer to your question, they go find the answer on the spot. My pets and I feel welcomed when we arrive.

This place is so amazing. The entire staff and Dr. Snead are very caring and wonderful. The office is very clean and well taken care of. It does not smell like a veterinarians office at all. Plus they decorate for Halloween! And there's a black cat with bat wings... could this place get any better?

Very friendly staff, very helpful. Treated me kindly, and with respect. I didn't see them interact with my pets, because they take them to the back, I'm sure they treated them as nice as they treated me. I would recommend them. Prices were high, but that's normal, they did give me a discount on my other cat for the office visit, which was cool.

Have been coming here for a year and so glad we can finally go inside with our pup. We got a weekend appointment at short notice which was unexpected but great that we could address an issue that we were so concerned about. Everyone was very pleasant. There’s a lot of waiting involved but that seems the norm at any vet. They charge a lot but we take that as the price of accessibility and convenience.

I go here all the time for my pet rabbit & everytime is a hassle. On top of that the staff never answers the phones. They answer then put you on hold until they wait for you the hung up or til it goes to voice-mail. The people they have working at the desk clearly to not care enough when it comes to your pets. I'm starting to look elsewhere because if they don't care about answering to even help you then they won't care about helping your pet. & lastly if you don't want an overpriced vet don't go here. They are overcharge than most vets so do your research. I only liked the vet that handled my rabbit but besides that I'd rather take my business elsewhere. Thank you.

If you want your pet to have the very best care given. This is the place hands down! We had recently adopted a new St Bernard (Male), noticed he had a cough. Unfortunately my 18 month old St Bernard Named Daisy became very ill with the same thing in which turned into pneumonia. Both lungs were filled with fluid. I'm happy to say That Dr. Catlin Mascaro DVM is highly the best there is when it becomes an emergency situation like mine. Even though my Daisy isn't home yet, She insisted to keep Daisy. if I didn't commit to leaving Daisy, my dog wouldn't be here. THIS VET ACTUALLY CARES not only for your pet but also the pet parents as well! Thank you for saving my baby!

(Read all of it...edited) So far so good. Initial visit... was very impressed with the customer service and attentiveness. Have first visit for vaccination continuation this weekend. Hoping for the best. Edited 02/14/21. After second visit--at which time our dog received the 2nd Parvo-Distemper etc. multi vaccine from Valle Verde, we were told we needed to come back again for final parvo vaccination. Upon further review of paperwork given to us at time of pet purchase--and shared with Valle Verde--Turns out he (our dog) had three Parvo vaccinations done before our first visit to Valle Verde. He only needs three total! If they can't read a simple health record, how can I trust them with my family? (2/24) Got some clarification...sounds reasonable...will finish out the vaccinations at VVAH. Not sure if we'll continue the three hour trek for future visits.

Very efficient/effective social distancing plan. Friendly, considerate staff. Right on time for everything. Love this place and 😏 it doesn't hurt that Dr. Snead and staff are easy on the eyes 🤪 The best part is that our birdies (green cheeked conures) didn't seem stressed at all. I'm thankful 🙏*The pic is of Cleo right after the appointment in her travel cage, clearly calm and content.

My Toby had passed away and I had let them know, Toby was once a feral cat that I worked with and got him tnr. He passed away from a urine blockage it broke my heart. But they had sent me edible arrangements and a card, very sweet, brought tears to my eyes. Thank you animal focus vet 🙏❤️🐈

I hate writing negative reviews but... It's necessary. Caring enough but it's a money making operation. They'll tell you a tooth extraction costs one thing but it's actually 3x that price. More $1200 events have turned into $2000.Even just now. Bordatella shot, $22. But then wait it's actually going to be $60. 3 year rabies shot anniversary came up and I got it renewed 3 years, 3 days from the last one. They only approved the vaccination for a year.A past issue with billing (and being quoted far below the actual price) resulted in no call from the owner. So. I feel the need to share it. $14 bordatella shot from a much closer animal hospital has my business.

I am glad that I am done with this place that works with Petland they ought to be ashamed of themselves. Any animal hospital that supports or benefits from a business relationship with Petland, I will never recommend to family or friends, period. In regards to the veterinarian care I received. Let's just say I will keep my opinion to myself on that one and let the one- star review speak for itself. ):

OMG! Dr Snead was GREAT! Very helpful in all respects and great personality! Im raising a puppy and he was helpful with potty training vaccinations and any other questions i had. Spent a lot of time with me, i was VERY impressed! My current vet dosent do that. Im switching vets. Dr.Snead even took the time to answer questions i had about my over weight cat. All techs were also VERY friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. I feel my pet was well cared for.U need more stars for this group they deserve a 7 in my book!

I've never felt so comfortable bringing my fur baby in for check ups and her annual shots. She usually has a really hard time with the vet, but with a beyond amazing and incredible heart warming staff. Khaleesi (my cat) actually was happy and let the workers hold her. I love how much care and thought the staff gives to your fur babe and all together making me feel comfortable. Affordable, dependable, caring, wonderful staff, great prices and one of the best locations I've been too. I don't want to take my fur babe anywhere else, she's found her support team and they provided me with comfort in knowing I can always trust them. Thank Drs. Owens and Snead for having a vision and hitting every target dead center. Doctors and staff 10/10, the decision is yours but I highly recommend coming here and being apart of a wonderful family.
