We love Dr Owens and his staff. Our puppy has already had so many issues since we got him - we practically have no weekly visits with the vet - and not one time have I felt he was not cared for or that we were being overcharged. The negative reviews I read are all money driven and I just don’t understand that at all. If they were human kiddos would these clients be offended that the doctor was charging for services ? No. The prices are in line and fair as with other veterinary offices. The care is above par and the staff is amazing. Also our baby loves them all and is excited when he goes there even after all the treatment he has had to go through .

The staff and Doctor Owens are amazing! They all were super friendly, extremely welcoming, very caring and did a thorough examination of our new little kitten TWILIGHT. EVERYTHING was explained in great detail. The facility is very nice and we highly recommend this place...keep up the great work guys!

The best Vet I have ever seen! I have 3 small doggies! Dr. Cain and Christine are fabulous! They took wonderful care of my babies! My little boy was very sick and Dr. Cain’s wonderful care he is back racing around the house!💕💕 if you need a Vet, See Dr. Cain! Or just for a wellness exam she checks everything! Needed to take our 20 month old Rusty (orange kitty) in for an updated rabies shot. Dr Burton and the rest of the team were very nice and professional. You can tell that they truly care about animals. The doctor did an exam and discovered Rusty had gingivitis. I was so sad not knowing he's probably been in pain. We have a teeth cleaning scheduled a for next week. I felt confident we selected the right vet. I highly recommend them.

I went there with a new puppy that we got with an ear problem, hadn’t been to that particular veterinarian in a decade and a half. It changed hands and is now animal focus vet. However, I was more than just pleased between the staff and the facility, and our vet, it was a great experience. Definitely recommend.

So happy we found AFV Horizon. They were very attentive to our needs, in an emergency blockage in my kitten. You get what you pay for, and I left with all testing and imaging charts. Sage was kept overnight and was not stressed, for they have lots of room, are very clean and was loved by all staff. Thank you AFV!! We are so glad you are here!!!

Doctors and staff care so much, treat you and your pets like family, and take a see something say something approach. Always expect a thorough exam, I think the staff in this clinic are worth it for my pets.Edit: posted this around 3 months ago and nothing has changed, every visit I can expect the doctor to take the time to talk to me through everything - and I mean everything - they see during their exam. If I’m unable to afford their initial estimate they help me make a plan for where to start and when to return so my babies are in their best possible condition (not just getting by). I see a lot of complaints regarding money and time spent with the doctors. If you are only interested in having your pet vaccinated and don’t think a comprehensive exam at each visit is worth it then you’ve chosen the wrong clinic. Price and time are well spent.

Lovely, knowledgable staff! I was only a client for a short month before I had to transfer since I lived 35 minutes away and to make it easier for my puppy. However, in that short time we always had an amazing experience with this clinic. Everyone from the front desk staff, technicians and doctors were extremely helpful, pleasant and answered all of our questions. The facility is always kept clean and sanitized to prevent the spread of bacteria/germs. They have water available for your pets and offer additional services during your visit if you ask about them. Thank you Dr. Owens and Dr. Edwards for giving Tucker the best treatment during our short time with your team.

I am very happy the way they care of my pet. It is my first time here bringing my dog 🐶 for check up. Dr Owens take his time explaining and answering my questions. This past weekend my family and I took our new kitten to have his very first vet appointment. Upon arrival, the front staff were so welcoming and helpful. The overall ambiance of the clinic is warm and inviting. Dr. Owens is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about the well being of his furry patients. The pricing was also affordable. My dog suddenly broke out in a red painful and itchy rash and all other vets in the area weren’t able to get him in until days later. I called Animal Focus Vet on Horizon and explained the situation. The girl on the phone went to discuss the situation with the doctors then told me I could bring him in ASAP. I was there in about 10 minutes and we were immediately taken to a room. Dr. Burton came in about 5 minutes later to see us. She was so caring and genuine and let me know what they were going to do as far as testing and treatments. I left him there for the day and picked him up around closing time. The immediate difference in his appearance and personality was such a relief since there was no trace of the rash and he wasn’t in discomfort and crying like he was when we got there. Everyone there was so kind and had such great personalities that I’ll be switching his vet office to them from now on. Thank you all so much for helping my baby! (As a side note, the interior was very clean and didn’t have that weird stagnant vet office smell that others usually have)

This has been one of the most positive experiences I've ever had, dealing with a new veterinarian. (Just as a side note, the emergency hospital, up the street by the CVS, ripped my family off using scare tactics and hard selling techniques. At that time, I vowed all veterinarians were thieves, who were interested in only padding a bill, vs providing compassionate, honest care. )This location was purchased from the doctors who used to run the vet center, years ago. They were wonderful people. When the vet retired, my family didn't think anyone bought the place. We thought it just closed. So, when our departed canine reached his last few, living hours, we were relieved to not be required to go to the thieving hospital up the road.Immediately, the moment the nurse picked up the phone, I could tell this location was different. The nurses and admin staff are so kind, genuinely invested in your concerns.The veterinarians, there are two of them, are energetic and promptly available to handle emergencies. They stopped what they were doing to assess and treat my dying dog, a gentle giant breed.These doctors are very knowledgeable about nutrition, without pandering products they might get a kickback from, like that hospital does.Here's the MOST essential detail-There were NO surprise charges. NONE. They honor their upfront estimates, for care, and detail every possibility for expenses. You know, before they do anything, if you can afford it or not.Just as essential is the beside manner of this entire staff. Whether it's a checkup or a merciful medical goodbye, they really make you feel like they care. They talk to you and answer all of your questions, engage in conversation to bring cheer or comfort. No matter how routine or final the event, you leave their presence feeling like you just left mom and dad's house. You feel a little less terrible about a tragic occasion.My loving canine, Colonel Simba, passed away three weeks ago, today. As sad as the day was, my family was so calmed and comforted, we transferred our other dog to their care. He's getting a dental checkup today.Thank you, for your decency and kindness. Your compassionate knowledge took the distrust we had for veterinarians, and, changed it into a hopeful connection between our pets, our family, and your clinic.

Animal Focus Vet Horizon provides excellent, compassionate veterinary care. About 3 1/2 years ago we adopted the cutes, cuddly, senior Maltese dog. Animal Focus Vet Horizon was listed as the veterinary office that his previous family had used. Hoping to maintain continuity of care I set up an appointment. The staff at Horizon new our pup and welcomed us with such warmth I immediately felt like I had arrived home. You see I am from a small Upstate New York town “where everyone knows your name”and had been feeling adrift in Las Vegas. A few months later our pup suddenly developed paralysis in his back legs. I was devastated, I realized he might be in great pain and feared we were going to have to put him to sleep. Dr. Owens found a tumor on his spine and explained in terms I understood what the medical alternatives were. Surgery by a veterinary neurosurgeon was beyond my financial means. Dr Owens suggested I let our pup rest at the animal hospital for a couple of days to see if with rest, spinal laser treatment and medication our pup would improve. That was three years ago and today my 13 year old senior dog prances around like a puppy!!!Thank you Dr. Owens and thank you Animal Focus Vet Horizon team💕 💕 YOU ARE THE BEST💕 💕We love you,Cubbie’s Driver😉

We brought our 16 year old cat for an exam and rabies shot. We had to give a 65 dollar deposit before the vet would even look at our kitty. Several hours later we brought home a cat that is paralyzed in her hind legs. “Give it time, it will probably wear off” they said. Three days later…. no change. No accountability. Just a email to consider approx 4500.00 on dental work. They knew she couldn’t walk when we picked her up…. Nothing said. J. Williams (Vet) will never treat another animal of ours.

THEY SAVED MY FURR BABY ♥️ thank God for this clinic, I had called & explained my situation about my dog & how the last clinic I took my dog they weren't willing to help with anything, they rather have her put down than to help my furr baby 😢 the receptionist gave me so much comfort explaining everything over the phone , letting me know they are willing to take her in ASAP & once we arrived they instantly took her back and started getting her the care she needed. The receptionist is such a lovely person, she gave me comfort & reassurance that my furr baby is in great hands & will be taken care of. Dr. Joe was who worked on my dog and he is sent from heaven because he was so professional, direct, honest and educated me and how to take care of my dog better and healthy. If you're going to trust anyone with your animals trust this clinic! Thank you Dr. JOE and all the whole team for helping my furr baby ♥️ You guys are heroes ❤️

Dr. Owens and his staff, in my opinion, is the best animal clinic I’ve ever been to!!! I called this morning and spoke to Savannah and because my dog was having a little emergency she was able to get us right in like a angel. We then had a thorough history taken by Fiona, who was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. After Dr.Owens examined her he sat us down and explained his thoughts and concerns in detail so we felt more at ease when we had all decided she needed to stay a few hours for some testing. While there she was given the best care by the awesome techs Gabi and Andi. After the results were in we received a call, as promised, by Dr.Owens and again was explained everything in detail so we understood what was happening and he gave us all our options based on his findings and expertise. We were able to take her home with some meds and instructions and will follow up in a few days. Chloe was amazing and made sure the whole visit was as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly office. I am so grateful to have been fortunate enough to find this clinic and Dr.Owens! I am now a forever client. Thanks Dr.Owens and ladies for you kindness and compassion today.

I put my trust in Dr. Owens very easily, and that is not common for me. He shared the situation with Marti's teeth and shared the probable outcome of the dental disease and high triglycerides if they are not quickly corrected. Mel, his Vet Tech called regularly during the tooth extraction surgery and kept me updated. Marti is a rescue and gets skiddish with strangers, but she went easily with Mel and I could tell she was well cared for during her 6 hour stay.I highly recommend Dr. Owens and his team. The office is very clean and modern.

these guys are really nice. they let me geek out about how cute my cat is and they seem to love my pets just as much. I was given an expensive invoice and expressed concerns about the price and they immediately took off the less important stuff for me so it was more affordable. 5/5

They are trying very hard to over charge the animals they have left to pay for there over priced renovations to the place. Came in for shots left with no shots but her ears were “infected” that was still over priced at just about 259. They quoted me 159 for the ears after I shot down the other stuff they put meds in her ears and assumed I would pay. They tryed to hit me for just under 800. Don’t come here unless you want to have your bank account dry cleaned I mean cleaned dry.

Took my friends dog in to have a knot removed from the top of his head. The dog is 17 years old. They wanted to charge me $3,801.04. I refuse service. Because I refused service they called animal control out on me. Animal control came to my home understood why we refused service and offered euthanasia services when we thought he was ready. I would not have bothered giving this establishment a star,, but did so because it's required in order to post a reviews. I have never been to this veterinarian before. I have two other dogs. They will not be getting anymore business from me ever. The vet said that the dog was to sick to get vaccines, however, well enough to undergo 2 major surgeries. Clearly this outfit is only interested in making a lot of money and not for the care of my animal. All I needed done for the immediate time was to have the knot on his head removed. But no you didn't want to do that unless I was willing to pay you nearly $4000.00 to care for dental extraction, and removal of the tumor on his head that was bleeding. You let me walk out of the office with my dog bleeding because I would not agree to pay you nearly $4000.00. The neglect falls upon you. Wish I could sick animal control on you. While we sympathize with that, we also have a legal and moral obligation to do our due diligence inspecting a pet's health before we put them down. Health records indicated the dog was 15 and not 17 years old however, regardless of age, was healthy but showed clear signs of neglect. The estimate you were presented with was a range to include the solutions to the issues the dog was dealing with as a result of neglect. Fixable issues are not cause for euthanasia, and as mentioned above morally and legally if we see something wrong-- we have to say something. We are glad Animal Control was able to present you with options you could work with and we respect your decision to take your business elsewhere.

Been going to this Vet Clinic for over 15 years with numerous dogs. It got sold a few years ago to another vet group & obviously somethings changed. Just different, not necessarily bad. A little higher priced , more paperwork , recommendations ( suggestions).Was contemplating moving my business to a vet closer to me before I took my dog to the clinic last week. I changed my mind in spite of the distance protocols due to vivid. The friendliness, efficiency, & extreme professionalism made me realize that my pet was in good hands. The vet talked to me & explained everything without “overselling” me as many vets do. The level of care was excellent.The follow up call the next day to see how my pet was doing cemented my decision to stay.Love your pet , trust these guys to take care of it!

Animal Focus vet, more like MONEY focus vet! This place is disgusting would not care for our pet, insisted a slew of other things needed to be done ($2300) tried to make us feel guilty about not having the money THEY said we needed ($1300 & that was a deal according to them) tried to reason with them about treating the problem at hand so our dog was not in pain & refused. When we decided we were going to get care for our dog somewhere else they made us sign a medical release. We ended going to Tropicana Animal hospital who took care of our baby in a very short time & solved the issue with no problems ($300) Focus vet also insisted our dog was in really, really bad shape, she infact was not other than her old age. Focus Vet also called Animal Control because we didn't get her treated with them. This place is disgusting don't take your pet here unless you are expecting to pay for a bunch of stuff that is not totally necessary in an urgent setting as they don't care about the care of your pet only how much they can make off of you. If they cared as much as the vet tech claimed they would have done what was important at that very moment. Also hope they know Animal Control is laughing at them & tired of their phone calls.

I WILL NEVER COME BACK!!! They wanted to charge me $1600 because my dog had a small rash and allergies!! They wanted to run all these nonsense tests and I asked if we could just give him an antibiotic and an allergy shot. They refused. I took him to a different vet and they prescribed my dog with some pills and a special shampoo and he is now fine and they only charged $120. I one of my horses to an equine vet because he got really sick really fast. They treated him and kept him for 3 nights. That bill was $1100. But this place wants $1600 for a freaking rash?! Outrageous. Save yourself some money and don’t come here. Vets like them give vets a bad name for ripping people off.

Took my adopted dog for teeth cleaning. It was not cheap. The office personnel were very friendly. The tech Destiny come in to the room and she was very nice and gentle with my dog. Then Dr. Edwards come in the room to examine the dog and he was very caring about the dog. Then we receive the estimate for dog teeth cleaning. Yes. It was expensive but this clinic does not up sell. We left the dog in clinic for the procedures. About an hour or so later we received a call from the clinic the seek authorization to treat another issue. We agreed. Our experience was wonderful. Two days later we received a lab slip detailing results, plus a more detailed description of what was done to our dog. We will take our dog back in the future. If you want caring and competent service for your dog, this is the place.
