Cool pit stop along a cross Nevada road trip with good food!Ordered a burrito and was really surprised by the amount of flavour. Your standards change while on the road, but this place lifted them right back up. The restaurant felt like a time capsule, and for a moment it was like we were all back in 1980. Staff was friendly and on top of all of the orders for our party of 13. Overall really enjoyed the Dinky Diner!

We had the breakfast burrito as recommended by one of the locals, the portion was enough for two however, my husband was able to finish it. Absolutely delicious probably the best breakfast I’ve had in the US so far! The small town has a lot of pride and we were so lucky to spend the night here and celebrate 120 year Birthday of this town. Don’t skip this place. Lots of parking.

Most excellent place. Was driving on my way to Vegas and read “home cooked,” after eating garbage for 12 hrs I was sold. Made a u-turn and enjoyed home made sausage (second time in my life), eggs, toast, potatoes, served by the owner herself, amazing and kind lady. My dog Peanut approved as well. Don’t miss this place as it is small and unassuming. You are welcomed.

Lovely comfortable little dinner with nice wait staff. Enjoyed good black coffee and they were able to accommodate my food allergies and autoimmune diet with my help. It's worth the stop! Oh n 60s- 70s TV and movies on their TV!

Had both breakfast and lunch multiple times The breakfast was great. Over easy eggs perfect, home fries perfect, and sausage perfect. The cheeseburger at lunch was awesome right down to the wonderful bun it is served on. The biscuits and gravy are good and I make it a rule never to eat them at a restaurant but a friend ordered so I tried a bite and the next morning I ordered and enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. The ham breakfast was also very good.

Stopped for breakfast on our way through. Great coffee and excellent service in a cool family dinner. Loved all the curios! We especially enjoyed chatting with the owner. She knows a lot of history about the town.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian omelette

I saw the pictures of the food while I was in tonopah and honestly around these areas this is the best place for breakfast, even better than most places I’m Las Vegas. Had to try it out for my self, me and my family went without expectations and it was so worth it, the food was delicious and legit home made food. The mother was the cook at the time and I can say she has skills. The French roasts were kinda small compared to what I’ve seen but the pancakes and everything else was in good portions. Would definitely come here again and recommend to anyone in the area. The dining area was very clean but the bathrooms could have used some cleaning not that anyone would go to this place for the bathrooms so it’s unimportant.

I really hate leaving bad reviews, but I must. This is the only place in Goldfield to get breakfast or lunch. The other place closed. Don't know what happened to all the good reviews I saw before coming here! There were only 4 customers in the dining area. Service was super slow, like the cook(s) didn't know how. Food was way overpriced. Potatoes were ok, but the rest of it was awful. Disappointed. Goldfield is a fun place to visit but recommend eating in Tonopah and buy some food there to bring to Goldfield. There isn't any place to buy any groceries in Goldfield. There are two fun bars that serve bar snacks in the evening. We loved Goldfield, but will eat in Tonopah from now on. And remember, no gas in Goldfield so be sure to fill your tank. Looks like there are charging stations at the Visitor Center but make sure they are in service.

Had heard about this place several years ago...and as advertised.You wont find the food winning any James Beard awards in the near future. But as should be for a home town diner. It definitely is dinky with not even 20 seats.We had a sufficient bowl and chili and greasy patty melt. French fries were awesome!!! Service was hospitable although food took a little longer than I would have expected for being the only ones in between lunch and dinner.Worth a stop as really only place in Goldfield anyway.Overall, better than most meals we had while driving around Nevada.

Lovely little diner. The waitress was so helpful when I asked for the WiFi password. She came back to make sure I was connected and got in okay! The food will take awhile to prepare because there’s only one person cooking, but it’s absolutely delicious! Stop by if you have time to spare.

This PLACE! literally a MOM and POP restaurant it has a few tables! An out House for show. The mom and daughter are super cool! Food is awesome and they are SUPER friendly. Food is great! Cool little spot to enjoy the day also 😎

Prices are fair for the quality and quantity.Homemade greatness!The owner is really cool!We went during the Covid-19 craziness so no dining inside but there was plenty of seating outside.We will definitely stop here again next time we are back through this area!

I stopped here for lunch yesterday. I ordered the house salad with chicken and the grilled turkey and cheese. The portion sizes were decent and the prices were fair.Karie told me about the town and the places I could go. She was very helpful. I'm definitely stopping by here again when I drive through next time.

I came in here a few months ago when passing through Goldfield. What a cool town btw. It's such an old antique vibe. It kind of feels like being in the wild west.The diner was also very cool, as it fit the town's vibe perfectly. It just had such a local, yet welcoming feel.The food was very good too. I had some eggs with chili on them.Overall, I give this place a thumbs up!

Excellent for its own sake.Some places are good only because there are the only thing you can find. This place is extremely tasty for its own sake, even though it is the only thing between Tonopah and Vegas. My husband invents food products and is very very picky about food. We all are. And we are planning to come back here the next time we come throughh

On the road looking for some food. The Dinky Dinner popped up on the radar. In the town of Goldfield NV. Cool dinky Dinner in the town. We liked the spot as entered and were greeted nicely.We ordered two Carolina burgers. Food was good. House cut fries.Bottom line, Cool place ,good food in the middle of Nevada. But it needs a good scrubbing down. And new table clothes without grease. Clean rustic is a lot better way to impress travelers.

So delicious!! My first time trying a Monte Cristo and it was definitely worth it. Perfectly toasted, melty cheese, and a sprinkling of powdered sugar for a little taste of sweetness with the saltiness. The fries were petty good too. I prefer them a little more crunchy, but I won't hold that against them.. it's a personal preference.

Spent some time in the area stopped here twice, good grub, friendly service.Wall art was a bit eclectic, but was largely nonoffensive. (Touch confused about the movie posters, guessing someone they knew was in it?)Best dining in Esmeralda County, nonetheless.If you're visiting, be sure to check out the nearby historical sites and maybe arrange a mine tour or schoolhouse tour (Info on both can be picked up at the Diner, I believe.)
