On the edge of the Black Rock Desert, about 90 m from any other civilization, lies the unique town of Gerlach. We stopped for lunch at Bruno's, where the obvious "regulars" ate. I had a mushroom burger & my husband had a cheeseburger, but we could've had ravioli freshly made that morning, not to mention roast beef that was on the menu! The towns people were quirky and welcoming and the whole experience was fantastic! Thanks!

We were hungry after being stuck in black rock desert for a while. The nearby town is Gerlach and this club offered us all the food we were craving for. The ambience is good and the service was excellent. We loved this restaurant and never expected to have such a good food in the deserts! If you are going to black rock desert, you must stop by to this club

Excessive amounts of hearty classic diner food is the name of the game for this pre/post Burning Man obligatory hangout.Perfect burgers, huge piles of crunchy fries, gargantuan pancakes, a fish basket that feeds 2 or 3, large salads (ask what's inside, may include more than just veggies), and more. Plus the latest news from the Playa.Everything made fresh, delicious, and gigantic portions . Owners, and staff are locals, and very friendly and kind.Clean bathrooms, a large space, postcards, and a full and varied bar complete the experience for this classic Gerlach diner. An absolute must! Don't drive past it.

Saloon - One the Nevada's 16 Sagebrush Saloons. Nice, but probably a little overrated. Has some history, some character, but it was on the list so checked it out. I found no reason to go back.

Bruno's 's one of my favorite places on earth .. really!The food, hospitality, and ambience are so welcoming and delightful!I had to teach my middle school classes online from the back room over Burn Week 2020. They more than accommodated me. It was the best support I've ever felt as a teacher in the 19 years I have been teaching. I was in the bar for five straight hours one day. It allowed me to be out there on the playa to refresh my mental batteries and get my job done.GOOD FOOD -The food there is really good. The portions are big, the taste is excellent and the food is fresh. That says a lot for a place out in the middle of nowhere. The biscuits and gravy with an egg in the morning, the super-good burgers, the sweet-potato fries - all yummy! Competent cooks for sure.DRINKS - They make excellent drinks and have a great selection of beers at a decent price.SERVICE - Waitresses always asking if things were good, the food came out hot and if you needed something they would get it.AMBIENCE - Not too loud and plenty of space to be Covid safe.I can't wait to get back.

Good food, very good prices, good service.The Chicken fried steak was excellent at 7.95, and the breakfast burrito was large but could have used a little more salsa. It also was 7.95. The young lady doing the serving was slammed but cheerful and focused. If you're in the area, it's not a case of this being the only game in town, it's a good place to eat.

What a great and friendly place! We came here after we got rained off of the playa during a spring thunderstorm. There was a birthday party going on in the back when we arrived and the folks invited our kids back to sing happy birthday and share in the celebrations. It was just an all around really lovely time in a really cool rural Nevada restaurant. The food hit the spot and you can't beat the prices.

Went to the bar and had a fine breakfast. Then stayed in Room 20 of the hotel. The furniture is out of date, but it was a fine room.

It’s a landmark and has a lot of history. Bruno’s is the restaurant, the bar, and the registration for the hotel. The hotel rooms are decent and clean for an old building. The restaurant really depends on who is cooking and who is serving. I wish they had more vegan options but at least they have tried to provide one.

A Gerlach timeless classic. Bruno himself may have passed years back. They may have moved the furniture around a bit since then. But the food is just as good, and the beer is just as cold.You can't pass through town without stopping in.

A local favorite. A must stop if you're hungry in Gerlach. Take a minute to read the interesting poem by the women's restroom.Our table ordered:- Fried Okra- Fish and Chips- Homemade Chips- Short stack of pancakes- Side of avocado- Hash browns- 2 eggs- Bacon- Bacon and Cheese Omelette- Mozzarella sticks- Vegetarian chili- Garden SaladThere isn't a grocery store within 100 miles of Gerlach, so you won't find fresh fruits and vegetables on the menu. This is a fried food haven and sure to hit the spot after a long day of hiking in the elements.Awesome dune buggies and bikes parked out front.

I liked this venue and people. An oasis in a rather sparsely populated area.I ordered fish and chips. Next time, I will get the wings.In the corner, next to the ATM, is a statue of an Indian. I am informed that it was given as a gift to Bruno by an iconic rancher in Eagleville area.

If you are a Burner, you know where this is. It is one of the last bar and restaurants, with a motel section too, on way to the black rock desert. Actually has very good food, especially the home made to order raviolis. Well stocked bar. Prices very reasonable. Always eat and drink here when in area
