Pretty cool little country store with a great gift shop. As Nevada's oldest city Genoa is a gem on the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Great little store with a lot of neat stuff inside.We also shared a Reuben Sandwich which was very good.They have plenty of nice setting outside were you can enjoy your meal in the shade of some historic trees and take in the old Town of Genoa.Highly recommend.

Bought a delicious grilled sandwich and a couple irreverent hilarious gifts to remember our visit to this historic town. I am a local but acted like a tourist with husband in tow. Just reading the socks, aprons, etc saying had him chuckling. Live music during Heritage days 2022 was fun - The Scarlet Verbs loved playing for the crowd.

This place used to be our favorite to get sandwiches. The service is horrible. And they throw together sandwiches and serve them to the point you can even hold it and eat it. They must have changed management

Excellent place! My friends and I went to the bar across the street, and were in need of a quick breakfast, so headed to Country Store. The breakfast sandwiches we got were really good, and the workers were very friendly. Will definitely be stopping by again when I get back in the area.

1/2/16I stopped in here quickly this morning for coffee and a newspaper. Thought about eating breakfast too, especially after hearing another patron express how much he enjoyed his breakfast burrito, but my husband wanted to check out Harriet's breakfast cafe down the road. We did end up coming back for lunch though and both ordered sandwiches.The guys working were friendly on both trips. The lunch sandwich was custom made to my liking, with toasted sourdough slices and cheese & all the veggies they had. They also offered spicy mustard when I said I love mustard. It was very good! Casey had ham and cheese on sourdough. The sandwiches came with a pickle slice and were just under $10 each. A little on the pricey side, but they were fresh & tasty, and service was exceptional.

Great deli, with house-made selections!!! The flavors here are uniquely better than a deli that purchases food from a vendor. They have a great Wednesday night hot entree take-out and a full bar for libations!

Great staff, positive attitudes and the lunch was delightful. My grandsons so enjoyed the ice cream, I enjoyed my libation while my daughter enjoyed her ice tea. Highly recommend for a simple quiet outing....

I had a wonderful time here about one year ago today. My husband and I were married at David Walleys and the owners of the country store opened up their restaurant to us and our families for the rehearsal dinner. They were such lovely people, kind, generous, and attentive. Plus the food was delicious! We definitely recommend this place!

If you are ever in Genoa, please stop and support this store! We had the best experience there today and Customer service is not lost in the country store. My wife and I were out for a ride and stopped in for lunch. The staff was amazing and went out of there way to take great care of us. We will be back every chance we get! I like everything about the country store concept here - "home" canned pickles and jams, bottled hot sauces, worthy souvenirs, good selection of beer and wine, free and easy vibe - but I have a problem with the food. Why, oh why, does every single food establishment in NV, including this deli, insist on serving processed deli meat (pressed meat, byproducts, fillers, and water), greasy fried everything, with heaps of butter or mayonnaise in or on everything? Here at the Country Store deli you can purchase this ubiquitous NV style sandwich for an extremely high price. Two "pastrami-like" meat sandwiches pressed (fried) in some kind of fat, and two cans of beer for $30.
