This pharmacy SUCKS. They don’t like answering the phone so they put you on hold over and over again without saying a word and then they hang up on you. They send you a text saying your medications are ready, and when you go to pick them up they don’t even have them and have to order them. They’re rude, incompetent and they waste your time. This is the worst pharmacy in the whole valley. I hope they get shut down.

The pharmacy is terrible!! I was on hold for 45 mins and patiently waited till I was next then they answered and said hold on and hung up on me. Now I’m on the phone again with more than 3 callers ahead of me. Something needs to be done about this because this is ridiculous

Marcy is the star of this location! She helped me make sure my FedEx package got out correctly & when I left my keys behind, she made sure to track down my phone number and give me a call. God bless Marcy!

This was a great place to get my prescription and II will continue to go to this Walgreens. The employees were all very nice and welcoming. Thank you for being kind our world needs it and this is how all places should be . Good Job

PHARMACY REVIEWI don't usually leave reviews, but this one needed to written. I tried to get a prescription there and they couldn't get the pills, they offered to transfer it and it never happened. I don't hear from them for a month, I then go back because their phones are a 45 minute wait generally. And now, they said they'd call my doctor and see if there was an alternative. I checked, they never contacted my doctor or attempted to do anything. At this point, there is no reason to even call them back. They wouldn't even transfer my prescription for me, they said they did, but apparently that was too much work as well. I was lucky that I had extra medication and that my doctor was willing to just send the prescription elsewhere. The point being, they have no respect for your time, money or medical issues. If you can, go anywhere else.Also, the woman who answers the phones is very intentionally rude, she doesn't even try to fake being nice, she's just mean.

Terribly rude male pharmacist. I was trying to transfer my prescription to another pharmacy due to cost, and the other pharmacy could not contact Walgreens despite multiple calls and an electronic request. I called Walgreens and after waiting on hold for over ten minutes (at 7pm on a Friday) I was rudely told that “they were busy” and “didn’t have any phone calls for the last four hours”. I explained I had waited 24 hours for them to contact the other pharmacy, to no avail, and received the response of, “well it was busy yesterday and I wasn’t here.”It’s safe to say I won’t be filling my prescriptions at this Walgreens anymore.

I just got out of back fusion surgery. A pain pill prescription was sent to Walgreens early this morning. From then on, all I could see on their website was 'Prescription Delayed'. I attempted to call them, and never could get past the recorded information.My wife went down to get the Rx, and was told they were OUT out of the pain pills. Couldn't they have notified me what the problem was? Couldn't they realize this might be a problem when the extreme pain hits here in an hour or so?This is the second time they pulled something like this.They are fired. I will never go there again.

In store is way smoother than over the phone. If you go in store it can take up to an hour. Over the phone it will take hours. If they do answer the phone it just to put it on hold until the system hangs you up. It seems to be only this location too. I used Walgreens at different places in the country and those were fine but this location seems to always have delays or workers who are unprofessional. Less than optimal experience is an understatement.

I was really excited when Walgreens opened in town but over the past year I have been repeatedly disappointed. The last time I had a prescription filled, I had to wait over 20 minutes on the phone to even talk with someone at the pharmacy. Today was the final straw. I had a prescription called in 4 days ago by my doctor. After waiting a day to hear from Walgreens, I called the pharmacy to ask when it would be ready for pickup. They said it wouldn't be ready until Monday. I called again on Monday and they still don't have it ready. The lady on the phone was rude and unhelpful. I should have been notified immediately that there was a delay in the prescription and the date should not be moving around. When a prescription is required, it is usually required immediately. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

I swear this store goes out of its way to hire the laziest, rudest and most incompetent people. The last few times I've gone in there, an elderly woman named Kate is tending to the store counter. She acts like you're overworking her if you ask for help or something behind the counter. She huffs and puffs and rolls her eyes like you're asking her to drop and give you 40 push-ups. If simple tasks are too hard for her to handle, retire already. She should be ashamed of herself.I stopped using the Pharmacy a couple of years ago due to the Pharmacist Tonya. Horrible women that will harass you and your doctor while you wait two hours to get your prescription.This store needs a new manager if this the type of people they hire. It's not surprising they chose the worst, as I've read a lot of posts on the FB Gardnerville group about how rude and arrogant the manager is.Go to RITE AID. They are competent and don't act like you're overworking them just asking them to do their job.

I was in to get medication for my dog that was at the end stages of his life to help his heart slow down since his heart rate was so high. The pharmacist was so sweet and compassionate about my situation. She did everything she could do to help ease a tough situation and gave helpful tips and ultimately showed us empathy and generosity. I know she probably feels her actions were no big deal but her kindness in a very hard day was something I will always be thankful for. She was a positive light in a very dark day. Thank you again you really impacted my day and restored my faith in humanity. You have a wonderful soul.

This has to be one of the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Went to pick up prescription for my daughter here after oral surgery. They were called before hand, told the office it would be ready in a half hour, we arrived and the pharmacist told me they didn't talk to anyone, well of course not she is so arrogant argued with me for 10 minutes when the technician came over and said oh that was me. Then at least the technician apologized but not the pharmacist. She continued to explain she was the only there, no one from Dr's office talked to her, she tells me just 15minutes, and it will be ready, wait 15 minutes and she still hasn't worked on it, and now explains its not 15 minutes, okay I agree it was 14 minutes, now she wants another 10 minutes. Really?

Worse pharmacy ever. Filled my daughters prescription under the wrong name. Took 9 hours to get a pain medication filled and three trips and still got treated terribly. Pharmacist wouldn't stop talking for two seconds to listen to my issue. Rite aid across the street has never done me wrong.

Pharmacist Jonathan was incredibly helpful to me. A different Walgreen's had given me my first Pfizer COVID vaccine and had scheduled my 2nd dose at this Walgreens, but for Moderna. When I showed up Jonathan felt it best for me to get another Pfizer and called around until he found a shot available for me the next day in Reno. He really took the extra time to help me out because he felt it was the safest thing to do. Tech Iris was also very friendly and helpful too. Thank you!

This is the worst pharmacy EVER. I use Walgreens Pharmacies all over the country. They are great. BUT THIS ONE IS TERRIBLE. There is very poor follow through. Very unprofessional over the phone. I always give them grace and a second chance and they ALWAYS fail. They just don't take it seriously and lack maturity.

Continuously Disappointed with this Pharmacy!! From their dismissive attitudes to the overall incompetence, I quit them after two visits, it took my wife a little longer! Between the autocall system and the dim staff, they have cost me many wasted 50 mile trips to town! Avoid this PLACE!! BTW, I do many reviews and this is by far my most negative!!

I love my local Walgreens in Gardnerville. It's located in such a beautiful shopping center near Lampe Park. They always have good prices on cereal and they always carry my specific brand of electronic cigarette refills. I love the pharmacist I have complicated prescriptions and they give me no hassle each time is a pleasant visit at the store. The cashiers are wonderful and nice great service at this place.

This is the worst pharmacy ever! They can never be reached, it takes hours to fill your prescription and they do not help with emergency over rides but day they will call your insurance. Whatever you do change pharmacies!!

I went through surgery on December 2nd and Walgreens filled my prescription pain medicine when Walmart wouldn't. Switching all my medical pills to Walgreens!!! Thank you very much to their Pharmacy!

If I could give a negative ☆ I would, THE worst service I have ever encountered in my life in the Gardnerville ( Main & Waterloo ) Pharmacy.... I will never go there again for my medicine ... I'm sorry the other staff has always been nice and polite but the Pharmacy has serious problems that will most likely cause serious issues with people just trying to get better.... very sad

Literally the worst. Will call 75 times to tell you your prescription is ready and then you will go and wait over an hour to get them. No one will apologize or even acknowledge you.
