I switched to this vet about two years ago when my dog was giving birth to her puppies. I highly recommend animal medical services. Their staff and veterinarians are outstanding. They have never tried to convince me to do anything extra just to make money like most of other vets do (based on my experience most vets are in it to take you $$ and could care less at what it does to your animal) They are kind and gentle and honest. We had to put our dog down this last week and there beautiful way they handled. It was heart warming. Grateful to have an honest reliable veterinarian in our little town

Exceptional care for Pit/Lab mix that had been owned by handicapped individual. Unsocialized and raised indoors. Nails so long she should had trouble walking. Took tranquilizers to get her in the car. Too afraid to get out of the car. Male attendant wish I could remember his name coaxed her out and into his arms to carry her in. All were so gently and caring she did not stay afraid. We have been back twice for check ups and nail care and each time she is better. They still come out and physically pick her up. AMAZING

Mt dog was attacked by 2 pitbulls, and they had to do a second surgery when we got home. They were so good to her, and Avery even followed up with us the next day.

I will just say that I had a really good experience with them initially. A huge problem arose later but..... the important part about that is it was fixed and they apologized for the mistake immensely. There is a lot to be said about accountability and being apologetic. This is the best bet I have ever been too. They care for my animals and always make sure my questions are answered. From surgery to nail clippings, it’s all done perfectly every time. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and always there to lean on or lend a hug when the appointment isn’t a good one 💔 I would recommend this place to everyone. You can tell these people care about your animals just as much as you do. I love when they are all happy to see my dogs it warms my heart. Thank you for everything you do for this community

My puppy needed her rabies shot and had an ear infection. They got us in in a reasonable time and fixed her up! The staff was great and my girl loved the affection they easily gave her. The vet listened to me and was gentle with her. I would highly recommend them for you beloved pets!

I’ve been taking my little dog here for years, in fact my entire family takes all their pets here. This office not only excels in customer service and compassion but the care is exemplary for your pets. My dog recently needed her teeth cleaned and they kept me updated on her progress all day, when I picked her up it was obvious they were so gentle and empathetic with her in a stressful situation. From the front desk staff to the veterinarians themselves- this place is great!

The waiting area is usually nice and mellow. I once went into what I would guess to be the biggest vet in G'Ville and the very large waiting area was SO CHAOTIC that I nearly suffered an anxiety attack. Popular or not, I opted for a smaller operation where I feel my pet will not be traumatized before even meeting the doctor! This place is personal and suits my needs much better than a crazily fast paced place

I called this morning to get my dog a cytopoint(allergy) shot and they said to bring him in at 3:30. I took him February of 2022 (on my vets recommendation based on what I told him his symptoms were) to an emergency vet. I was going to take him to Reno but because it was snowing so hard I took him to Carson Valley Vet. The visit to Carson Valley vet was $336, $91 of which was for a same day appointment, it was before emergency rates went into effect. The ccost of the same day shot at AMS was $149.

Wonderful experience. I adopted my 2 fur kiddos who weren't spayed or neutered from a home that determined they were unable to properly care for them due to lack of time. I called a couple of vets to find not only a place that would provide this service at a reasonable cost, but also that seemed sincere in their happiness and love for animals. I chose the right place. I live an hour away, but the drive was well worth it!! They took care of my babies as if they were their own and called the next day to check in and make sure Teddy and Layla were doing okay. Thank you!! ❤😊

The Best! Knowledgeable and treat our pups like royalty! They take the time to listen and care what is best for your pets, not necessarily their bottom line! We went to other vets previously and felt like a number. The staff here makes you feel valued and they have a pretty keen eye for detail!

Pleasant visit. $56 introduction to the place to examine a cat. The girls were friendly and nice and I made the appointment the day of. The business cards/ magnet don't have email address attached... Had to do a bit of research to send in files from previous vets.

I used to go here and was very happy, but now, they can never seem to get me in, that is, if their phone is ever NOT busy. I think they take it off the hook. So disappointed in the lack ofservice.

We really needed to get a Dr after moving here a year ago. We hate getting new vets and always feel they add charge after charge and it is uncomfortable and annoying and if we resist anything that feels excessive we feel like bad dog owners.We can not express how good it felt to just do a wellness check, have her nails trimmed and get Aubrey her medication without feeling anything except comfortable and grateful! My dog is even having a few bowel issues so we expected some sort of test but the Dr suggested I give her a little yogurt. Other experiences would have me paying for multiple tests and wondering if my baby was dying.100% this is our new home!!! In the future, when we have an issue with our aging dog, we trust that they are here to do what is needed and any tests, costs or suggestions will be from an honest assessment and for the health of our pet.EVERYONE we met today was great!

They are really nice and less expensive that the other guys. Thay also do not over book (crowd) so many at a time so you have to wait much longer than your appt. time. You go in and get seen almost immediately. So glad I changed vet offices.
