7/10/23 @4:30... stopped in to get water in my way home from work. No one was at the registers. Watched a few more customers come in and politely waited... ten minutes later and the customers all lined up behind me waiting.... no worker in sight. Im surprised the kids in this town dont rob the place blind.... left the waters and went to 711.... this place is never continent. Nice remodel. Now if you can only hire some people to run it... maybe more than ONE person?!

Very unprofessional looking staff. One of the older ladies with short hair/partially shaved had the front door propped open. She was shuffling the shopping carts back inside while smoking a cigarette. Mind you, they were still open and several customers walked in. She couldnt be bothered with properly disposing her cigarette and just tossed it on the sidewalk. The store is usually out of everything you're looking for and is not maintained at all. Handmade signs plastered outside with makeshift hours and then were completely closed one entire day.

Stopped by this store a "second time" and their doors were locked up and closed and not open per their posted business hours of 8 am to 10 pm. Upon arriving here shortly before 9:30 pm I get to the door to find this woman with her hair shaved down and yelled at me thru the door "We are closed"! A week earlier I stopped at this store at a little after 3 in the afternoon, to be told by a customer in the parking lot that they just closed and that they cannot keep the store open because they are short on employees to keep the store open. Hasn't the store manager ever heard of temporary employment agencies? If the manager of this store can't and wont hire more help to keep his/her store open then consider hiring a temporary worker from a temporary employment agency (Fernley has a handful of them in town!) and provide the worker a "temp to permanent hire" position to solve your staffing shortage problem. And furthermore if this manager truly does care about their business, then why don't they themselves as a manager cover and work the posted hours of the business when they don't have employees to do that!!!! Don't waste your time and gas coming to this place as you will be disappointed in finding a shut down store that is closed. Go across town to the Dollar Tree across from Walmart and shop there. 1 star is too generous for this review....ZERO stars!!!!!

So as soon asyou walk in to this Family Dollar, you are greeted with- hi, just so you know, you have to pay with exact change or card.. Then you walk through the store of half empty shelves, and when you get to the counter the same cashier notifies you that she can't do cash back either.. So I was about to ask her if she could tell me what they can do. I understand the pandemic has affected businesses, but this has been the routine in this store for almost 2 years. No other store in town has these problems. Dollar Tree right down the street is fully stocked and always has cash. I usually go there but I was in a hurry for an appointment. The good news is there is never any customers in this store. Just like today, there is never anyone stocking shelves or recovering the store. There was a manager standing by the bathrooms holding a clipboard, but other than that, no one else in the store. Can't imagine this store staying open much longer.

I was there with my buddies and we were getting some food after playing basketball all day and my friend had to run back to get something and the rude lady at the front said” come on hurry up this process “ wouldn’t recommend coming here. And there’s other things that happend but it doesn’t matter. Wont be planning on coming back.

Came to the store for a second time. Wasn't able to pay because the machines are down. Came in yesterday to try to buy something around 5 o'clock and the store was closed. The owners or the workers need to get something together or open another register or something, this is ridiculous.

They said they would be open at 3pm on 1/2/23. Never opened the doors when I knocked the lady was rude and unprofessional. Why have the store if you aren’t going to open when you say you are. Would not recommend coming here for anything. 👌🏻

Policy states company wants you to be thrilled with your purchase... not a half an hour passed and I went in for a refund.. Both Carrie and Kelly were extremely rude and refused a return w receipt in hand. I submitted a complaint t to the company and will never shop Fernley family dollar sgsin...

Their isles are already narrow enough that 2 carts can barely pass each other. Then, they clutter them up with boxes of freight. I get that they have to put items out on the shelves, but there were boxes everywhere. Several were blocking items on the shelves. The guy emptying the boxes was no help; he totally ignored me as I was trying to reach for items. I ended up leaving without items I wanted.

Would not recommend going to this store. They allow their employees to have friends and significant others come in the store while working and be bothered while a customer is asking for help. They also let their employees threaten one another that they’ll show up where they live to teach them a lesson. I would honestly give a 0 out of 5 stars if I could. Not the right environment for customers and employees. Not worth the trouble when being ignored while asking for help.

Amazing staff super helpful and very knowledgeable.Still the cleanest most organized family dollar I've ever seen. I walk out of others but this one gets my business.

Bought my dad food from there. It was stall. Bought him beef jerky from there 2 night's ago the beef jerky was moldy at the bottom and caused him to run fever from 100.3 to 103.7 almost killed him. After 2 daysd in the hospital his fever broke. Never buy food from that store ever again. Check Facebook we have pictures and videos to prove it.
