This Dayton NV location recently added fresh fruits and vegetables, which is very handy for those of us that don't feel like going to the beer stores.That's have great prices on milk and beer and eggs and just basic things as well as a whole bunch of the drugstore type itemsExperience all of the checkers here have been quite friendly and they're great job.

They added a fruit and produce section. No need to drive further into town now with this having mostly everything you would need.

The manager Tabitha is a completely unprofessional. She yells at customers because she doesn't like to help them at the registers, she has terrible social skills and she always smells unkempt. The store is a mess, especially the frozen food and drink sections, which should be priority with it being summer and all. There's always been issues within this facility, weather it be in-stock, safety or customer service. An absolute embarrassment.

I'm embarrassed to have gone in to this store. First of all, nobody was there and for good reason. The prices here are more expensive than an AM/PM. They should call it the $5 dollar waste of time. If you want something for a dollar, you'll get a cloths hanger. Was a joke.

Between the Dollar General in Dayton and the store out in Silver Springs, the Dayton store takes the cake hands down. If you're expecting decent customer service skills at either store don't waste your time shop somewhere else I forfit. Have shopped at both stores one too many times the gal's at both stores especially the Dayton store are always rude, don't even look up and acknowledge your customer is standing there just start pushing buttons and cram your stuff in bags fast all the while talking about your private life on the phone, " really! " if your gonna make personal phone calls do it on your break if you don't mind, not while your ringing out customers groceries, that happened to me today, I'm tired of cashiers rudeness, I work too hard for my money having just spent alittle here and be the only one to say thank you as I'm leaving with my groceries, feels like I'm saying thank you for letting me buy groceries here, "news flash" you should be so lucky I even opted to shop here. I'm done and will not be shopping at any Dollar Generals anywhere in the future, I'd rather drive alittle further and pay alittle more money at a bigger more well known and respected food chain just to be treated alittle more politely ...

I came in today, roughly around 2:20 p.m. I honestly wasn't having exactly the best day to begin with and my young son spent most of my shopping trip screaming.I get up to the counter to check out my items, my son is still screaming, many people are staring. It's quite obvious I'm struggling to quiet him.Well I placed one of my items on the counter and the woman grabs it and practically throws it back to me. She says "no it's shift change. You'll have to go to the other register."This isn't the first timegot my experience at this store has been bad. The clothing section is always a mess. The shelves are very rarely properly or neatly organized. Most often the items I am looking for seem to be nowhere to be found.I called the employee out on her rudeness and she stated she wasn't being rude. When a person is clearly struggling you should never just stand there and be rude.I hope that the next time this woman sees a complete and total stranger struggling instead of being nasty she tries to respond to a person with kindness.You never know the struggles that someone might be dealing with. You should only ever treat the world with the upmost kindness

Friendly and helpful staff. Small selection of grocery items but good assortment of canned goods and beverages. They do carry seasonal items and on this visit I was surprised by a few items such as potting soil, gardening tools, lawn sprinklers and hoses. Do have to give it a thumbs up on the overall cleanliness of the facility.

This store is always so clean and stocked. The one employees are always super helpful. I like that they are always wearing their masks and take my health seriously. Will definitely continue to shop here.

Messy. Rolling carts on floor instead of u-boats, out of stock on alot of items, very lil vendor displays, both employees congregated at the front of store, didn't seem to have any of company missions in place ... no store standards here.Wonder if corporate ever comes way out there to do a store visit?

Very convenient they carry a wide variety of Dairy Items which I find is always selling so it's Stocked often.The problem with this particular DG is you could walk in and out of the store stealing them blind and the Employees would never know!! The Employees are no where to be found and you can lose your voice yelling for them.

This is a very clean store with the inventory well organized. They have been having more inventory than previously and now carry some items I had to buy elsewhere. We have been pleased ahopping there.

This store is good when you're in a hurry and dont want to go to the big box grocery store and prices are good. However at times you can be in line for 20 minutes waiting with just one other person in front of you. Always problems with cash register or takes the staff forever to come help you.

I was surprised first time i went in a Dollar Store. They had everything i wanted on my list and at a discount. Most was off brand but a lot of brand items also. It was clean and clerk was helpful. Most everything was NOT a dollar. It was dollarsss.

Very polite management and a well organized store, Dollar General is usually messy with rude staff where everyone's a manager but nobody wants to work. Both the Dayton and Carson Dollar Generals are four out of five stores it's impossible to get five stars at a Dollar store.

Its good for a quick stop if you don't want to go to smith's but its very dingy, stuff isn't organized. I will say the staff is friendly though, seems under staffed.

10 or more people standing in line and one person in the store or at least she never called anyone else up it's terrible when it's the busiest time people getting off work and they can't even have two people working the registers

Dollar general got some great sales every week and they have that digital coupon you can use to get more discount on certain items, and also they'er right down the street .

I always stop here on the way back from California the Fernley they have a few products that I save a ton of money on so I load up about once every 3 months staff is friendly stores well-stocked

Location for rural housing is 5 star rating due to convenience, however the product quality is poor compared to it's cost.
