This is a very good place to shop for groceries and a few goods, they also have a pharmacy. The staff are great they are kind and helpful, sometimes the staff are low in check out but otherwise amazing. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked with paper towels and toilet paper. The pharmacy staff are mostly great sometimes it is difficult to get prescription refills due to communication issues between staff and doctors. Overall I’d say they are a great choice for shopping.

I wanted to buy baby carrots and found this place close to my stay.I found Smith’s is part of kroger chain and the veggies reflected that quality.

Don't complain if prices are wrong when it is rung up at register. They get very upset if they have to change them.Especially Josie who works there is very rude and disrespectful. When it comes to correcting prices.It is unbelievable to me that this Josie still works there cuz I know a number of people who have complained about her.

There were no carts available. They seemed to be remodeling as the aisle shelves were moved, and the nasty floor that used to be under them was now part of the walkway. But, it was clean and I found decent prices for meat.

Staff is rude for no reason. They will NOT change incorrect prices at the register and, in fact, make it the customers problem, telling us several times “That is the price of grapes last week”. Last WEEK?! And when we have to call them back to void items bc suddenly we’ve gone over budget thanks to STORE error, she gave us more attitude about how the grapes are not on sale.

Smiths is one of my favorite grocery stores, and I just moved to Carson City, so my fiance and I started shopping here, and we like it so far. We love Carson City, though. Its been a nice change for us

Had the most shopping experience here. The place was filthy, nothing was where the signs said they’d be, they had me self checkout at a regular checkout with the conveyor belt and that was an inconvenience. It was like a bomb went off in there.

I shop at this store at least 2 -3 times a week spending a hundred or more dollars each visit, I normally have great service here as well, especially at self checkout, but today I had a full cart of groceries and didnt feel like checking it all out myself so I went to a check stand and had an absolutely horrible experience with the cashier! (MARIA C at check stand number 3) There was a display out front of chips, crackers etc that stated with the digital coupon you could get anything on that display for $2.49 each when you buy two. So one of the items was a box of chips. I grabbed that and a box of ritz to make the deal. When Maria rang the box of chips up they came up at regular price so I questioned it and she basically called me a liar to my damn face! She said "theyre coming up as $11.99" do you still want them? So I said no, it says over on your display they should be coming up as $2.49 and she said "no, thats not right" so I in turn asked her, "can you or someone maybe go check on it than?" And she blantly said "no, I cant leave my register" and continued you scan the rest of my items and than threw the box of chips under her cubby without another word. After she was done scanning the rest of my items she gave me my total and I again asked "can maybe he -referring to her curiosity clerk/bagger go just check it?" And she just shrugged a little and didnt even ask him to check it nor did he offer to check it. Instead she just ignored me! Than I said "I really dont appreciate you being so rude to me, I shop here all the time and spend alot of money!" and AGAIN NOTHING IN RESPONSE AT ALL! I just shook my head and paid. After putting my groceries in my car however, I said to myself, I cant let this go that easy! So I went back in the store and took this picture, NO WHERE as you can see does it have any other price tag on the display but the one listed. While I was taking a picture there were two supervisors standing at the display next to me so I asked them, very simply "do you see anywhere on here do you see another price tag for these chips!?" And they said "oh, sorry no, we haven't put it up yet" if someone would have just gone and checked for me and said that same thing I would have understood, but DAMN! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would give Maria C a training corse on customer service again if I were in her supervisors shoes! Absolutely ridiculous!

Smiths is one of our main grocery stores in Carson City that has most items you could want and has some decent sales. However they dont know how to get the snow plows out and clean up their parking lot. Very dangerous to get into the store. FoodMax does get the snow plows out immediately. I have to switch stores for now.

I have a general rule...I don't shop at places that get shut down by the city's health department for rodent infestation.It's not like you get shutdown for 1 or 2 mice, and not without warning first. The corporation or this store don't seem to care about cleanliness or health.

I come here from Vegas to fundraise for my drug rehabilitation group all the time. Just stand by the cart-stall and have palms out and business cards ready. Kroger doesn't seem to mind. Who cares what the consumers think. They're just marks.

My husband was getting gas at this location and as he drove off witness some guy urinating on the wall maybe 100ft from the entrance. So between the rat problem they had this year and people pee'ing on the building, I can see going there any time soon.

It's a nice store. Best time to shop without it being crowded is >n themoring or after 7p.m. others wise you hit huge crowds and long lines. Reasonable prices, especially to be able to enjoy a clean store and not having to bag your own groceries. And they have a Star Bucks inside.

They have almost what I am looking for most of the time. Lots of checkouts but not very many cashiers. It's kind of sad that times have changed so much that people prefer self-checkout. It kind of detaches itself from the community and the stores people shop at. However, I am not a forgiving person and I am from this community I was born in this city. The community has covered up some very bad things they have done to someone off and on for over 35+ years. So I hope Amazon comes to town someday and has one of their Grocery stores where we walk in take what we need and walk out. P.S. Protect your pockets it was my mothers money that was taken.

This evening was my first time in Smith's and I was pleasantly surprised! I was able to find everything I needed and prices were not outragous. Mostly, I was impressed with the staff there. They were attentive and very helpful. I asked to sign up for the discount card and that was quick and easy and the women at the checkout were absolutely delightful! They were really paying attention to what was happening at the self checkout lines and quickly noticed when I looked confused about something and came over to assist me. They even gave my daughter a balloon. Great customer service! I will definitely be back!

Last minute supplies for son's school project, ran to my local Smith's. Manger was super helpful and not only directed me but actually walked me over to what i was looking for. This is why i choose my local Smith's.

Smiths is your working family store. They have good prices and put practical, everyday, necessary items on sale. They even send me coupons on items that I use frequently. And get this... they bag your groceries AND have a friendly disposition. Unbelievable. Oh yeah! Their reward card discounts GAS!!!Who does that?

Super convenient and close to my house anytime i think of a house item im in need Smith's is always first choice shopping. General grocery, pharmacy even banking with US bank and dont let me forgot i also get my gas there, its definitely a win win.

I totally love their pharmacy employees. Tom the pharmacist and Kimberly the pharmacy tech both helped me out on one of the worst days of my life when I almost blacked out walking to the pharmacy counter. Kimberly is a princess, very knowledgeable and couldn't be more helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Really bad customer services, I got there to pick up my prescription time was 12:57. They closed the farmacy from 1-1:30pm for lunch, Anyhow they didn’t want to help me even I’ve arrived just before 1pm. The pharmacist James was very rude and didn’t even apology in stead he told me: “go somewhere else” furthermore he reply: “you hear me” I’d just turn my head to see he’s name to make a complaint.

I usually have a great experience at this store. But not so today. The shelf was empty where what I wanted should have been, yet there were more on the very tip top shelf that hadn’t been restocked. It was very early in the morning, so it doesn’t make sense to me that the overnight crew that restock the shelves wouldn’t have done it. Someone else before me obviously had the same problem because there was a milk crate on the floor so that somebody could step up on it and reach the very top shelf. I looked around and there were no employees in sight that could help me. So all I did was step up on the milk crate to reach the shelf. Immediately some sort of an employee wearing baggy clothes and a baggy sweatshirt and in need of a shave popped out of nowhere and barked at me “don’t do that!” I replied to him, “well maybe you should put that away then, and restock the shelf while you’re at it!” He took the milk crate away and didn’t bother to try to help me get what I was trying to reach. Sorry Smiths but you just lost a loyal customer. Teach your employees to be polite and helpful, and presentable too, and maybe I will return someday.
