This is the best place to get your propane tanks filled. The best price and easy service. Just pull up to the filing area on the left side of the store and ring the bell. The attendant will be out soon and fill you up. Easiest place to go and fill your tanks.

Wow that's interesting you know I thought this was a great company, but I just found out that an employee was harassed so much to the point where she just said I'm not going to take this harassment anymore I thought that was against the law and I can't imagine Cal ranch allowing employees to harass another employee which is against the law, so guess what I'm sending an email to have an investigated and that means upper management lower management and the employee that done it and got away with it You're disgusting I will never step in your store You're disgusting I will never step in your store

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I bought a 5.5 x 10 ft trailer. I was told I would get the paperwork in about 2 weeks. At the time I purchased if I go no paperwork except for the sales receipt. I called the store and asked for the manager. I was told her name was Robin and she would call me back as soon as she got to the store. I waited 3 hours for her to call. I went to the store and again Robin was not there but I was assured that she would call me. Quests what she didn’t. I don’t know but 3k is a lot of money for me and to have a manager not call me back is not great customer service. Long story short if almost 4 weeks now and I still do not have a plate for it. Very disappointed pointed in the customer service especially from Robin the manager.

Came in with an emergency and needed a gas can, I caught Dale and boy am I ever so grateful to get this gentleman. He not only hunted down the gas can I needed but also was kind enough to show me how to use it. What an excellent experience I left with confidence and with a good feeling about getting what I needed to done right in a timely manner. Big thank you to Dale and his amazing customer service! My family and I are so grateful!

Pretty good store, I was looking for men's shirts and vests. Decent prices, however the inventory was lacking. They were out of a lot of the vests in my size (M). So, I went on the website and found what I was looking for. I am going to try to have my purchase set to my local store, Carson city, and I will update the review when I pick up the order. On a side note, the store has a friendly staff and they were very helpful. They also sell guns in many different calibers and bullets as well.

Such a horrible experience I’m former military and today they really treated me like I was an idiot just bad experiences all the way around every time I’ve gone in there purchased one gun that broke on me shot one round through it tried to talk to him about it and they said maybe you put the wrong ammo in the gun. I know what the hell at 45cal shoots. The guys behind the Gun counter just complete I can’t even say the word very limited selection in Firearms, Holsters and magazines would not recommend anyone to go in and try to buy a firearm or anything else that I should do with firearms. That’s just my opinion it’s been the same experience every time.

I lost my wallet when I was there, I live paycheck to paycheck and was in full panic mode when I called.The young lady, I guess a high school girl, told me my wallet was safe and sound behind the counter.I cannot say enough good things about the superlative customer service, the kindness and honesty I got from this place.I am definitely going to spend my money here, they have everything you need too.

We needed to pick up some Lego style leveling blocks and this was the third store we had been to in order to find them. We were happy that they had them in stock. Checking out took awhile as it seemed there was a pricing issue with the customer ahead of us that required the full attention of both cashiers.

The gentleman that worked at the gun counter was very disrespectful. When I asked for rifle ammo you did not have it and he replied to me or don't you have a couple of shows I said yeah well then that should do you. Not cool that's okay I went to the Sportsman they had it

This place has a lot of potential but it's a real mess. Isles crowded with junk bins, I mean just the most random stuff for sale making getting in and out with a cart a problem. Then there don't seem to be prices on anything. You can hunt along the shelves and occasionally find a price but I've pretty much just given up looking. I just take stuff to the register and if it's too much I say no thanks. Then there's the registers which are in tandem and also crowded out with junk. And there's never enough help. Today there were two absolutely overwhelmed checkers with a line that was snaking in two directions down isles, and one of them was also apparently responsible for phones so she was answering phones then using her radio to call back to departments to pick up calls. She was also radioing for help at the front registers. Anyway, everyone was completely ignoring her because she would call over and over and nobody was helping her. So I'm taking a star off from my review last year to go along with this amended review. It's a nice place I like shopping at but it's slowly turning not so nice.

Super nice people. Got our chicks from here unfortunately one of the passed but they took it back and gave us a new one. Good prices on feeders and pray bottles. Also have a nice selection of hats and other things for the kids

Update: No more than 2 hours after leaving a review on the Cal Ranch corporate website I received a call from Jeremy at the Carson City store. Jeremy was not on site at the time but was more than willing to help. The next morning he texted me a picture of the product I was looking for to confirm it was correct and I told him how many I would like. When I arrived at the store he had them set aside for me ready to go.I just called to confirm that Cal Ranch Carson City had a product in stock. According to their website inventory shows 24 available. During my phone call the manager was unwilling to take the time to "search their back room" to find the product. Extremely poor customer service. Phone call took place on 1/16/22 @ 1040 am. Hopefully they will learn what customer service is and how it works.

The guys they hire to run the gun counter are always very helpful and knowledgeable. Store is always clean. They are a bit more expensive than a regular feed store but they are larger and have a wider selection of farm equipment and clothing. That said, they're no Big R.Go here if you have to. Wouldn't shop here first for anything.

I have been going to Cal Ranch since their grand opening. Always found one of three things there without fail. 1)what I came for 2)where I could find what I came for if they didn't have it 3) they would order it on their next shipment. Love Cal Ranch- Carson City!

I stopped here to buy some ammunition and I was surprised what I found inside. Is it a hardware store an automotive store sporting goods store a toy store it's a cross between Bass Pro Shop and the tractor supply store with an automotive section thrown in and a home repair section also it's like a One-Stop shop for ranch home Farm Supplies. The prices are fair they even have some toys I bought for my grandkids not just a row of toys but several rows I will be sure to shop at this place again and again

First time in the store and went in looking for a knife. The 2 guys behind the counter never even asked if I needed help. My husband did ask a few questions about some guns and they acted like they were being bothered. One even told him to go to Sportsman’s because they have a bigger selection. So we did and I am so much happier, the people at Sportsman’s were super nice and answered all our questions. I will never walk back in this store.

Great selection of merchandise but I was very disappointed to see how the employees don't wear masks or ask the customers to wear them. Even the employees at the cash registers wear their masks around their chin. I needed to buy several watering troughs but will look elsewhere until it is safe to return to Cal Ranch.

Cal Ranch is a great store they would get all 5 stars for sure but the staff in the front of the store at the register are not very friendly at all. Not even a little bit.. They act like stuck up teenage girls and being there is a chore so they are no help finding anything. The guys at the gun counter are absolutely fantastic, if you need help in the store those guys are really helpful but again the gals up front are not nice at all.

Yesterday I was looking for a small key ring, approximately 1/4". The only ones we could find were part of the kit for dog tags. I happened to ask David, a Cal Ranch employee, if there were any others available for purchase. David took at least 10 minutes trying to find one, to no avail. I thanked him and continued shopping. About 5 minutes later, he tracked me down and said his Manager told him to give me a couple of the rings.I can't overstate how impressed I am with David and his dedication to excellent customer service. He is an exemplary employee.

First time at a CAL Ranch, somewhat unimpressed. Not nearly as many products as expected, plumbing,hose, and pumping products in disarray. Checkout staff could use customer service training. Nice store, it really just needs staff improvement.

Extremely friendly people, first time yesterday in this city, got my propane tanks filled, time to pay I forgot my wallet in my RV, they let me take the tanks and come back to pay, even though I suggested to leave them but they insisted on leaving them strapped in my truck. Came back today to do some shopping, excellent store and service.

Always a clean well kept store. A great place to buy a gift certificate. Recently bought fencing here. Very wide selection of things to buy. Clothing, feed, animal supplies and much more. A fun place to explore.
