Was traveling by this location and decided to stay for night. Stay was very pleasent. The town is quiet and has decent food places nearby. The rooms very nice, and the staff was very easy going with the check in process.Rooms: Rooms were clean m, had no issues

I'm pretty sure they swiped my debit card info and started getting random charges the day after I left. Would never stop here again. Rooms are very plain and felt like the sheets haven't been changed in weeks but it's OK because I don't think anyone has sleep in the room in weeks. Pretty creepy vibe being the only person there. Thought the place was closed down when I pulled up until I seen the front door barely hanging on to the hinge.

This place is absolutely DISGUSTING and the owners? Are sketchy as hell. First, when we arrived in town, there wasnt a single vehicle in the parking lot so I guess that should have been the first red flag... they tried charging me $120 for a 5 hour stay and were not willing to allow a late check out considering the time of my arrival... i told them Id drive to elko instead, thats when they offered a rate of 70$ because I point out that online it started it was 55$. I accepted out of desperation of sleep after a 16 hour drive with 4 kids... the guy gave me a weird vibe from the start... He walked my kids and i to our room and when my son walked by him, this guy reached his hand out and caressed my 9 year old sons face.. why he did that, is beyond me but it made my son extremely uncomfortable...... then after about 10 minutes of getting in the room, my phone sent me a notice that i had a transaction from the motel of 90$ after we had already agreed to $70... i figured id just address it at check out.... initially the room didnt look to bad until we started getting our stuff inside and thats when i noticed how bad it was. Looked like It hadnt been cleaned in months... i called the desk to address it with the guy and he literally told me "you got a room for the price you paid" ... i told them the condition of the room was completely unacceptable, especially for children to be staying in and requested we be moved to a different room or i wanted a refund and would find somewhere else and the guy declined both requests and hung up on me. I was at a complete loss of words at that point and let them know i woube disputing the transaction with my bank.

It's all about the little details that the hotel puts effort into that really make the stay <3 the non-existent lock on the door, missing fire alarm, fingernail marks on the headboard, broken TV, and cigarette burns in the comforter made it feel so homie! Would absolutely recommend to my worst enemy :) thanks for this enlightening experience Traveler's Inn! You sure know how to make a girl feel safe!

The manager is very nice, however this place needs work. The room wasn't cleaned, there were no top sheets on the bed, no wash clothes, the shower curtain was disgusting, and the shower leaked onto the floor. The TV remote didn't work, there are dirty finger prints all over the walls, mirrors and walls. I don't think the room has ever been cleaned other than the bed being made.

This was probably the worst place I’ve ever seen in my life. I hate to give bad reviews but my husband and I couldn’t stay. I didn’t even want my dog in the room it was so dirty. The front desk guy was horrible. He wasn’t there and had notes posted all over the front desk and then a note to call him… my husband asked if he could come to the front desk and he responded with “I’m busy…”Most disgusting place ever! I stayed at much nicer cleaner places for $20 less. Just sleep in your car is my recommendation.

The desk help would not give change for the vending machines. Rooms, and lot were not very clean. Pretty janky. It seemed to be going through a "remodel." Lots of space for truck parking and parking in general. Quiet location if you just need a quiet place to sleep, as long as you are not expecting much. There is not much going on in Carlin, NV.Rooms: Not great but adequate.Nearby activities: Not much going on in Carlin.

It's a ok place to sleep when you really need to, and can't make it to Elko.The good. There were no bedbugs. There was a fridge and a microwave. There were burritos and cup of noodles available to buy. Good semi truck parking.Things to watch for. The heater started to squeal when on high, and the room was barely above freezing when I walked in. It did warm up after a few hours, and the heater didn't squeal on low. There is hot water, you just have to run the water for ages. I ran the water for 3 minutes, figured there was no hot. Took at 4 minute shower, and felt that the water was finally starting to warm at the end. Ended up decently hot after 10. I had no idea pipes held that much cold water. Never seen that before.Rooms: Getting old, poorly maintained, clean enough, no bedbugs.

Location is great if you need to sleep in Carlin but the service was kind of rude and rooms are very dirty and outdated. Bed sheets had hair in them. Bathroom floor was disgusting. Not worth the money. Could not wait to get out of that place.Rooms: Very dirty.

Good: Decent location if you are passing through. Staff were polite.The room was the worst I've ever stay at or heard about! No dead bolt. An inch gap below the main door. I had to wedge the ironing board under the handle to feel like someone couldn't just walk in at anytime.Stains in the toilet. Rotten caulk all around the bathroom. Furniture in the room could be replace for $20 at a second hand store.I would never recommend this place and I really hope my room is an outlier but why wouldn't you remove the room from use until it's fixed...?

Overpriced for what it was..Room smelled like a whole bottle of freshener was dumped in it. It was freezing cold. Took about 4 hrs to heat up.It was mediocre on the cleaning, and there were not enough towels for 2 people.Basically, very little breakfast. If you could call cereal breakfast.Owner seemed nice, but wouldn't give a good rate, because we didn't book on the internet and just walked in.If you are driving east, don’t stop here, there are alot better choices 20 miles ahead.

It's over price I was charge 129.99 for 2 bed and then was charge an additional 40 for a pet fee. The room was run down. With that price I was expected at least a good warm cook breakfast but nope cereal and milk. It would have been cheaper to travel 45 more min into battle mountain NV and staying at Motel 6 which was 89.00 with no pet fee and I could've gotten my own breakfast with eggs, sausage and pancake for less then what I paid to stay here. Nope never doing it again.

Even the room card key was dirty as well as the elevator, hallways and room. The tv didn't work and I took a shower with barely warm water in the morning. I talked to front desk but wouldn't refund for the next night so I had to pay and couldn't stand to stay there. Manager blamed it on the miners in the area not being clean. Breakfast was a joke so skipped that too.

We had a spacious room and the tv worked. On the minus side, the bathroom floor had dirty boot tracks and other parts of the walls were dirty. There are bright lights at night from street lights (no block out curtains) so I wore an eye mask. Ice maker didn't work on the 3rd floor but we were able to get ice on the 2nd floor. Washcloth/towels were threadbare and dingy. The elevator didn't work in the morning. Breakfast looked sketchy so I didn't eat it. I slept ok but I was glad to leave.

BOOK ONLINE, SKIP GETTING HUSTLED AT FRONT DESK. Got caught traveling in a winter storm and had to find shelter for the night. Looked online and the Traveler's Inn was the closest. Said $55 online, ended up having to pay $150. Was on the first floor; room smelled like pee and cigarettes, and the floor had a weird film on it that stuck to your feet. Bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast in the morning is cold cereal and coffee. Overall better than sliding off of the road, however not at all worth the price and was only a matter of necessity. We just left California and paid less in Airbnbs for multiple nights. Very expensive 7 hours.Rooms: Cheap crack motel feel at luxury price.Safety: Feels safer not traveling alone. Front desk does have cameras around all of the buildings. Parking is free and also watched on cameras.Food & drinks: Cold cereal and coffee for breakfast in the morning. There is a vending machine, didn't look at what it had.Noteworthy details: Heavily recommend booking online to avoid getting overcharged at the front desk. I have a high suspicion the front desk person knew there wasn't any other feasible option due to the weather. Kept saying "so many full rooms" when the bookings online didn't stress lack of availability. (This was in hindsight after the shell shock of having to pay $150 when I had seen the $55 quote while trying to find shelter; went through most of the process after being safely in bed, would have paid $89 if I had thought to check in online.)

Not kind people managing this place! We we stayed 1 night and brought our dog and they gave us disgusting looks about her. They also had to call the pd to confirm my man's ID was real. We were constantly being watched when we would leave our room. We had locked our key in the room after going out to walk our dog and I went in to ask for it to be unlocked and they said no smoking inside when we don't smoke nor did it smell like anyone had been smoking. When letting me into our room my boyfriend and dog were waiting outside the exit door that is right outside our room door and the office man shook his finger at him for no reason being very rude. I would not recommend staying here trying staying at cavalier hotel instead!

Staff was ok, difficult to understand and communicate with but no problems. There were spot lights outside our window facing upwards, so late at night it felt like 6am with the light shining in even with shades closed. Besides that, room was very nice. Had everything I'd need. The bed was amazing. The comforter was soft along with a fuzzy blanket, it felt like a bed at home not a hotel bed. I didn't wake up in back pain either. The hotel was quiet. Lots of truck parking, quick stop right off the interstate from travelling. Seemed well maintained from what I did see.

The outside is nice. The inside is being remodeled, still but at least the bedroom floors were done! The bedding was clean and fresh, room in general was clean as well. It’s older yes, but i feel like it was nicely kept. Tv worked perfect with LOTS of channels.Staff was friendly too.

It was neat and clean. My room was a basic room. No coffee maker though but it had a big fridge. Very 🙂 nice front desk man checked me in and they did have a very light continental breakfast. Nothing fancy. It was a pleasant stay.

Travelers that need to rest don’t stay in this place it is not well maintained and lacks the accommodations you deserve. Their charge rate is only based on remote location there is nothing worth of a star. As soon as I walked in dirty towels on floor and toilet ran for more than half an hour, tried taking a shower and handle came loose. Called front desk and came and forced it to start with pliers. I’d rather everyone stay in Elko or another in town hotel/motel.

Very clean, new looking place. Brand new mini fridge, nice TV & Dish network. Clean bathroom. Wood floors make it more hygienic. Its very secure, well lit, & cameras everywhere. Nice front staff. The mattresses feel new & have protective covers. Since I’ve worked in hotels I know that guarantees no bed bugs.I never heard any other guests on a busy Fri night. It was quiet.We’ve stayed in so many gross outdated hotels driving through NV on HWY80 each year, and this is a hidden gem 20 mins from Elko restaurants & stores.Only suggestion is have the house keepers swifter under furniture at least 1X per week & ** clean/disinfect heater/AC units filter & grill. It was dusty so underperforming and instead of buying new heater/AC unit they just need to be cleaned by someone who knows what they’re doing. It will help save $. Otherwise we’ll stay loyal guests when traveling through NV for halfway point several times a year. Thanks 🙏

Beware! This Hotel is a hot mess. We had been on the road for 13 hours and I was desperate for sleep. We should have taken the extra time to drive further and get a better hotel. Do not stop here. I asked the clerk at the desk if we could have one of the newly renovated rooms and he said they’re only redoing the hotel flooring that is all. The rooms are run down the tub was scummy and the shower curtain looked 10 years old. There were no wash cloths and the blow dryer did not work. The floors were dirty from the construction work and tracked all that mess into the room. Keep driving to Elko it’s worth the extra 20 minutes, I wish we had.

This place is super weird. It's like it's still being built and/or renovated. But there are scratches and holes in every surface. The toilet ran for half an hour after flushing, floors in the lobby are missing tiles, etc etc.Breakfast was, special. Cold cereal, and prepackaged donuts. No juice, no tea, didn't try the coffee.The staff was friendly and the bed was comfy though.
