Getting an attorney to get my money back. Dr Lopez is great BUT my dog after two visits started to breathe fast after a new medication. I live two houses down. I brought in a video to ask if this was a reaction or a side effect. I was then told by the intern doc, who isn’t licensed, that I can bring her in. And then in the same breath told me to take her to Horizon or an emergency or she can give me another med. This after two visits. I’m taking her in to a different doctor. It’s not only what you say but how you say things. Never mind horizon ridge - their sister property- missed the yeast infection. I will have a Vegas doctor with actual experience see my dog and maybe that doctor can get it right and take me serious. Additionally, the receptionist said I was here yesterday because I had a concern on meds. Correct! And because the dog was licking and licking and she had an added yeast infection that horizon ridge missed, I was losing faith in this practice. And I know my dog. I’m going to ask questions about meds if I see the dog breathing weird. Being treated like I have some nerve asking questions by a receptionist and an unlicensed intern doctor, and treated like I’m an idiot, wasn’t needed. I Miss you Dr. Barton because this place has gone down hill since you went to Oregon. I had a question today after multiple costly costs about if something was a reaction or a side effect and you would think the world is ending. Never mind I told them I couldn’t go to horizon ridge because of the timing with my radiation and since I lived down the street can they just look at my video or see the dog for ten minutes and tell me if the pill for the yeast infection was a side effect or if it was a true reaction and should be stopped. I was not taken seriously and like they were doing me a favor. Last I checked, I pay to have my pets seen here, not to be be belittled by a receptionist and unlicensed vet. Stay away. Go to Vegas where they have compassion for not only the animals but their fur-parents too and where they know how to answer simple questions without stating they’ll just add another medication without seeing the dog!

Today I had the worse service, my cat got poisoned by a plant and I call Boulder City hospital they refuse service cause I don’t leave in Boulder City, I’m 20 min away from Boulder City I leave in Arizona. I was told to go there cause that’s my nearest location, we go to Boulder City to do grocery errands n eat n visit but now this city lost my interest I will never go there for nothing, very disappointed on this city and this location

Boulder City animal Hospital is a warm and caring environment for your beloved pets. The receptionists, the vet techs and doctors are friendly, sincere and kind. My dogs have received the best of care here whether it was something simple like vaccines or something complicated like surgery. I am very happy with Boulder City Animal Hospital.

I’ve been going to a Vegas vet for a couple of years despite living in Boulder City, but figured I should try out this vet once since it’s so close to home. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience from the receptionists, vet techs, Dr. Lopez, and even the other customers in the waiting area.

I have spent a couple thousand dollars over the past year for care here and have only seen a Vet one time. I have had multiple appointments for my Sphynx. She recently had kittens and when I took them in to see the vet as they were struggling to live. They vet in training came into the room and insisted there was a kitten left inside my cat and that is why she wasn’t producing milk charged me 175 for an x-ray. Allegedly took the kittens back and tried to help them latch and was charged for that too. None of them made it. I called today asking for medicine for my cats ears because my cat has the type of ears that get in her ear infections easily and they’ve treated her for this before. They wouldn’t give me the medicine because they wanted another $60 plus the cost for medicine and I just think it’s ridiculous like they just milk you to death at this veterinarian. Now I know why they want you to go and give good reviews on their website

If you are truly looking for a quality doctor for your loved pet...take the drive to boulder city..I have had nothing but problems with vegas vets..Dr. William Pass and entire staff have answered my prayers. Thank you.....It is nice to find someone who truly cares... Isabella says thank you as well

Had to take my 14 year old cat who was dying here cause Stephanie animal hospital couldn’t get me in, so they called ahead. She wasn’t breathing right & threw up blood on my drive there, Got her in the Vet wanted to X-ray my cat’s chest. I almost lost it. She wasn’t going to survive much longer, I wanted her to be put down. I refused the X-ray, They made me pay ahead for the cost of them to put her Asleep.. which I didn’t understand, my cat was dying. As I was paying she died. I didn’t even get to spend the last moments with her, cause I was paying. I asked for a refund for the injection since she died before they could do it. They wanted the X-ray cause they wanted to charge me more money. They only care about the money not the Animal. Worse experience I’ve ever had!!! Very disappointed ☹️.

They stuck my cat in the back room and helped the next patient and that’s where he died. I showed up early and the office lady wanted to know why. It’s because my cat was so sick!

Have to say Dr. Lopez was great! After taking my dog to another vet, she immediately told me what was the problem with my dog. The staff took care of her and were very professional. Finally found a great vet. I read reviews of people complaining about all they care about is money. They were upfront and estimate was on the money. They have a business to run and I appreciated everything they did.

Boulder City Animal Hospital has gone above and beyond with each of my pet visits over the last 15 years. Everyone I deal with from the front counter receptionist to the doctor has been patient, understanding and willing to communicate with me. I currently have a treasured pet with cancer and everyone involved in her care has been compassionate and helpful. I highly recommend this long time Boulder CIty Animal Hospital.

They saved my dogs life! Words cannot Express the love we have for Boulder City Animal hospital.My husband and I were traveling cross country from CT to our new home in Los Angeles, CA. Our last night on the road was at the Best Western right next door to this hospital. When my dog was attacked by an off leash dog 3 tenths of a miles down the street from the hotel, our world came crashing down. I came into the hospital frantic as my husband called me with what happened. I told them he was coming in and it was an emergency. When he walked in the door, Miquela, Jennifer, and Doctor Lopez were there, immediately, he was loosing major abouts of blood from his chest. Within 30 minutes of the initial attack, he was being prepped for surgery and Dr.Lopez and Dr.Barton were on it. He was bit all over and his jugular was punctured in 3 areas, so we were shaking and crying and freaking out. Everyone there on staff was talking to us. Miquela was distracting us and we were getting updates continuously. An hour in surgery felt like 10 years as they stopped everything they were doing, for my dog. My heart is full and I have tears in my eyes knowing that my dog was so close to dying. I owe them more than they will ever realize and I hope they know how much we love them for saving our heart. Hes doing so well and only days later hes walking and eating and his personality is coming back.You will never find a better vet in Boulder City, in Nevada or in the west.Don't think twice and trust them. From my family to yours, this is the place to bring your animals. They will love them like their own.

I’ve never been treated so badly by a vet tech before today. Dr. Lopez examined my dog in December and apparently did not document my dogs heart issues. I was told at that visit symptoms to look for that would indicate significant decline in my dogs health. My dog had those symptoms and more, had been up for 2 days coughing up foam. We thought we would have to put her down and therefore scheduled it. The med tech walked into the room with an attitude and began to tell me and my kids my dog did not have any documented heart issues, basically called me a liar and acting like I was there to kill my dog. The vet tech was extremely rude to my daughter and my daughter almost lost it on her but kept her cool. She was EXTREMELY unprofessional. By the time we left another Vet stated my dog did in fact have congestive heart failure, suggested a cardiologist and gave us meds. I will be taking my dog to another Vet to get more testing and hopefully consistent care for my dog. Beyond sad, I’ve taken my dogs there for 25 years. We absolutely loved and trusted Dr. Tucker who recently retired, huge loss for BC. UPDATE- I took my dog to AEC hospital as she was still coughing and suffering, they immediately put her on oxygen, she was dying. A simple X-ray showed her heart was severely enlarged, it had displaced her trachea. They allowed us to put her to sleep. My children and I grieved heavily for several days. Not just because she was gone, because she suffered longer than she needed to.

Front desk receptionist was completely rude and unprofessional. We scheduled our appointment for our dog for the first time taking him to the vet at 4:30. We showed up at 4:28 and signed in. We were told that because we we late we would not be seen and would need to reschedule even though there were other people in the waiting room and we were the last appointment of the day. We wouldnt have been seen right away anyway. This was after we asked for the email address to send our dogs records and it was provided to us but then the receptionist changed her mind and told us we wouldn’t be seen. Not sure if it’s because we have a pitbull or she just wanted to go home for the day but her attitude was uncalled for and I’d recommend avoiding this place unless you like being scolded like a child

This is the best vet clinic and kennel we have ever been to. We moved to Boulder City 4 years ago in 2013 and have gone there since. We love Dr. Pass and the staff. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have such kind and compassionate people working at this clinic. Our dog, Rocket was older and not the friendliest to Dr. Pass and the staff but they took good care of him when he was being treated in procedures and while he stayed at the kennel when we were out of town. They always called to check on him and took extra time to answer our questions. We often wished our own doctors and medical office staff took the same care for us!

Love this place for all my animals. And Jessie in the front is the sweetest person I've ever met. When we walk in, they greet my pets by name! I've never experienced that any where else.I'm also a super hypochondriac when it comes to my animals and they deal with my anxiety in such a polite and understanding way.

If I could rate their front desk help at a zero I would!! I have taken my new puppy there a few times in the last few months....my husband and I had a great experience with the vet...he was very kind and took great care of our baby girl. However tonight I desperately needed their help as my puppy was VERY ill and needed attention. Maryann or something like that was cold hearted rude you know what and said they wouldn't see me as I would need to go elsewhere as they already had an emergency to tend to. THEN WHY ARE YOU CALLED AN ANIMAL HOSPITAL?!!!!! I totally support local business in Boulder City as I love our little town....but her behavior was unexcetable....I am truly disgusted with her lack of kindness .....I had to sit in traffic to rush my girl to Henderson where I got the most amazing care and compassion from complete strangers who never meet me or my puppy. The staff even called Boulder City animal hospital to ask for records and they were told they didn't have time to do it!! I truly am at a loss for words... PLEASE GET RID OF THAT AWFUL PERSON....she is a disgrace!!

They told me to come right in 5 minuets before they would normally close. My dog had just sucked up a piece of watermelon and it was stuck in her throat.I’m new to Nevada and I thought my bill was more than reasonable I would have paid probably triple what I was charged.What I really appreciate is this isn’t even my Vet! But they took us in.❤️

Doesn’t even deserve one star. Awful experience, JUST adopted my puppy today and I came in for a check up. SIERRA, DROPPED my 8 week old puppy on her head. Did not care at all, my puppy went into SHOCK. Still didn’t care. Neither did Dr. Lopez. They don’t care about your pets at all, only money. Don’t come here.

Having had bad experience in the past with Vets, I was lucky enough to find Dr. Stanton and Dr. Barton, through a referral from a Booulder City Official. Like many of you, my dogs are my kids, they are a part of my family and I want what is best for them. As a pet owner, I would high recommend the doctors and staff at the Boulder City Animal Hosptial. Our cats have always gotten great care at the Animal Hospital. Especially from Tucker Barton who obviously loves the animals he cares for. I've boarded my animals here as well and feel confident they are well taken care of while they are there.

Has gone down hill since Dr. Barton left. Good luck getting an appointment and the staff is rude on the phone! Multiple locations and they can’t get you in soon and everything is overpriced compared to the market. The frustration of not being able to get in quick is horrible because they say “we’ll go the the emergency vet” - even if it’s not warranted. Most importantly the staff is the rudest group of idiots I’ve ever dealt with!

If you love your dog (or whatever animal) please don't bring them here. The young female doctor I dealt with was horrible and it was so obvious money was her only concern. She didn't even check my dogs eyes, ears, mouth or nose while I was there. She literally addressed exactly, and only, what I came in for. No checkup whatsoever. Horrible place. Will never return and of writing this review can save some other loving pet owners some money and time wasted than it was worth the time it took me to sit down and write this.

This place was a joke. I was quoted one price to get my puppy fixed, after the procedure, when I came to pick him up there was close to $50 ADDITIONAL fees. Their response was "the quote you were given didn't include labs & medication". All fine & dandy but tell me that BEFORE I dropped him off or when I originally called for the quote. Then I go back to see the vet & she says they gave him his rabies shot (which I wanted) but they hadn't added it to the bill....so I had to go and pay an ADDITIONAL $13. I really wonder if they did give him the shot.On top of all that, while my baby was there, they called my number 3 times trying to reach a different pet owner. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THERE AGAIN.

will not even consider giving the place a rating. My dog was killed at my office in Las Vegas . I immediately picked him up and placed him in his bed as he struggled to get the last glimpse of me, wanting some reassurance. He died there in my arms as I held him in his bed. He was all I had and my best buddy,Being that I live in Boulder City, I called Boulder City Animal Hospital to arrange for me to bring Charlie home to be cremated. Charlie had only been deceased less than 1 hour. I called, and the staff was very kind, they were closing shortly she said, but as I explained to her, I wanted to come from Vegas and bring Charlie home, The girl(did not get her name), said she would wait for me.Upon arriving, I went inside to fill out the papers for Charlie, they then told be to bring him in, which I did. The staff took Charlie to the back and they then asked me to fill out the cremation form.After filling out the form, I was given the choices for the cremation, I selected the light brown box urn, I then proceeded to make out a check to pay them when, the one female staff member came out from the back (after speaking with someone in the back you didn't have the Huevos to come talk to me)and said they could not help me because of an outstanding balance. This was news to me, But apparently my ex wife had a balance in her name and they wanted me to pay the balance off. Instead of addressing the issue of which I knew nothing about, they said pay the entire amount. If the person in charge, hiding out in the back ,had any Huevos, he would have come out and at least had a conversation with an individual who had just brought in his buddy, his best friend, and his constant companion, (and i mean always with me) regarding the issue of a so called balance( they never even showed me any documentation about this, nor I have ever been notified).I was more than willing to pay for the services I requested this evening and would have talked to some one regarding a balance of which I know nothing about. Instead of this, the gentleman staff member carried Charlie back out and then took him out to the car where I placed him on the front seat for his last trip back into Vegas to the animal Hospital on Pecos and Patrick.I am very thankful for being informed about this Hospital in Vegas, the individual who suggested this place, thankyou very much, I will never forget what you did. Charlie was then left there with his blanket, bed and his favorite toys,Heaven awaits my little buddy, and he was only 3, he did not suffer for more than a few seconds, but his last look was at me......."what happened? Help me please, you always ben there for me, what is happening"?He was all I had, and now, the Individual(if he is one of any heart) allowed me more time to grieve and make the trip back into Vegas with my little buddies body next to me...thank youShame on you and you can bet....any chance I get I will show appreciation toward your staff, but you???Sleep Well , I know Charlie is.ps: the only reason there is 1 star, because you cannot post without at least one star checked,

Anytime I need to get my dogs or cats in they get them in the day of or work with my schedule. They’re so sweet and caring. All of the staff is wonderful. Absolutely one of the best vets I’ve ever been to. I highly recommend.

This place was the worst ever and if I could give them a zero I would. They are all about the money and they seemed very unprofessional. If you love your pet I definitely wouldn't take them there or any of there four other clinics. Very sad for animals that get taken there.
