I'm only giving this place two stars becuz I only sat in the parking lot there to catch a quick nap on my way through Oregon.I do remember though repeating the name of the business over and over in my head, trying to get the pronunciation right.It reminded me of the store I used to work at years ago.

Good little store. Had everything I needed. People are extremely nice. Good hot food in deli area. Taco crunch wrap was good and very filling for 4 bucks

The staff is friendly and does not hesitate to help you find what you need or get you information. It is a small Desert Grocery store so do not expect the selection to be like big city chain stores.

I moved here, saw the two grocery stores available....and NEVER shopped here. They want brand-name prices for expired food in puffed up packages, in a falling apart, DANGEROUS building that should have been renovated 30 YEARS ago. My 1st thought was, "Ewwww! I'll catch botulism here!" To add INSULT to lurking injury the owner insisted that an employee squire my shopping cart out so that I WOULDNT STEAL IT!!! Of all the ignorance in the universe, to start off by EXPECTING customers to be thieves? Why even have a 'business'? Small-town chatter has many good Laughs over this hole-in-the-wall! 2nd, the high employee turn-over that's evident is due to LACK of effective management and Leadership, typical small-town, kindergarten brain-power evident! Don't waste your money here. Budget, make a day of it, take a picnic and shop Winnemucca/Elko for your SAFETY!!!

I'm new in Battle Mountain (been here for 2 weeks) and was going initially to Walmart to get my groceries, dairy products and so on. Nonetheless, after coming to this food town, I feel there's no need to go back to Walmart again. They've got everything!!

Comparing Etcheverry to the other market in Battle Mountain their prices are higher but they do carry more items & are well stocked. They also bring your groceries out to your car and help unload them . Neither store has the electric carts for the handicapped which is disappointing. Another disappointing fact is that they're supposed to sell propane tanks and swap out empty tanks too but they always tell me that they're out whereas the other store ALWAYS has them. Employees are friendly and I rarely have to wait in line to check out..

It looks like one of those small town grocery stores that hasn't been renovated since the early 90s, as well as being a possible setting for a zombie movie, but it has that small town charm, and the produce and deli hit the spot. Don't let looks fool you; it's a quaint and pleasant little place.

I wanted to return a couple of items. Manager told me that this was the last time I could. I have only returned one other item. I had my reciept and it was only a few days. I am a daily or many times a week shopper. I have always been treated well by the cashiers but for some reason the manager doesn't like me. I would have been happy with a partial refund or a store credit. Battle Mountain does not have many stores to choose from but i will be shopping at the others from now on.

It is a nice local grocery store. As far as I know it is not a chain or if it is I am not aware of it.This store is well stocked with a nice variety of items someone might need.The only issue I might have is it is slow to check out. They do call up help if the gets long so it's not like they don't try or care it seems like they do. I have even seen them help taking grocery 's to a person's car. Most of the employees are young which is not a problem atleast not that I have seen.

My hometown grocery. It covers the basics and the staff is great. So glad to have two good options to get groceries locally, but the ppl at Etcheverry's are friendlier than the other place. Always scan the print ad for deals-- on sale items they're very competitive with big stores in surrounding towns. Save on groceries AND gas and shop local!

We're from Austin so we like to shop all the stores in Battle Mountain but this one is the best. Cuz there. They take the carts out for you and help you pack your car I always give a tip even they don't even forget to ice stuff up and if you don't have enough they want you make sure

Be careful. The food does not have a high turn over so it OLD!! Frozen stuff is REALLY freezer burnt! Bread is stale and old.

The deli has a good variety of hot foods to go and nice people that will help you. There are a couple patches of aisles that need new tiles and I really don't care for country music, but that's not enough to doing them for.

Ok amount of grocery selection. Specialized items including cheeses, which is good. Very overpriced though. Service is hit and miss; sometimes very friendly and sometimes it's like you're a nuisance that needs to be delta with quickly. It is one of 3 places to get groceries within 55 miles.

There was a small issue at the register. Manager took forever to come help and when he did, he actually slowed the check out process down by talking too much and saying the same thing over and over. Then he held my receipt hostage while he repeated himself some more even though I was trying to go. RIDICULOUS...

This store has the highest prices than I have ever seen. I've bought fresh peaches here and gotten home, cut one opened and it was rotten, cut into more of them and the bag of"supposedly fresh peaches" were all rotten. I ran out of coffee and only needed a small bag and it was outrageously high, this store must have a 120% mark-up for anything!! I sure won't be shopping in this store period!!!!

Great little grocery store here in Battle Mountain! They don't carry everything you could want, but they do have most everything! Its clean and people are very friendly, even helping you to your car with your groceries!

Over the summer of 2018, I was working out in Elko. On my way to, and from Elko, I'd stop in here, and buy my summer fruits. They were fresh, ripe, and exactly as I recall fruit from my younger years, 40 years ago.... I was telling my wife last week that I'm half tempted to drive back out here, just to get the produce. Sadly, it's too long a drive, and I'm not that motivated. But still the best store bought produce I'd had in decades.

I bought a bbq grill from the hardware store on the same block, same owner. I asked if he would throw in a cover. He said yes. They did not have the right size in stock but ordered one. The ppl back in the deli are always helpful when I ask specific requests.

When I was driving through Battle Mountain to get back on the freeway, I was So surprised to see an obviously Basque named store with a ton of Basque looking decor. Inside the store, again tons of Basque decor. But unfortunately the only Basque item I could find in the store was Basque chorizo, which you can find occasionally at normal grocery stores. I really had my hopes up for Basque Gateau when I saw a little bakery section, paella in the hot food take out, Basque cheese, or espellette pepper. I was really disappointed. The workers were helpful and nice. But if you are going to keep a very obviously Basque name for a grocery store there should be more Basque offerings than Mexican choices.

The products are way over priced. And the redhead that works there is rude to us every time we go there. She sees us and refuses to help us. She leaves the area. We have to wait for someone else to get the products from the section where they prep food.

Well they have pretty good deals at this place pretty good people and you might want to watch out for sales because they do have some once in awhile and the cashiers are pretty decent people and the store is got a lot of stuff that you might want so be kind and visit once in awhile when you need it
