Great drinks, food and service in the middle of nowhere. Nice back deck to have drinks or eat on if it is nice outside. Otherwise, the inside dining areas are pleasant. Considering their location and length of season, they have a relatively large selection of beers and spirits and make delicious cocktails. They have wine, but I didn't really look at the wine list. The food menu is not large, but adequate, and the food is well prepared and presented. Our service was provided by the spouse of the pastry chef and was professional, attentive and what you would expect at a fine dining restaurant. The restaurant is owned by twin sisters, who are trained chefs. There are usually mouthwatering desserts made by the pastry chef. Baker, NV is very small and quite remote, so don't expect everything to always be in supply. Check the web for hours and make a reservation if you have a large group. We had 11 people, so I made a reservation to warn them in advance, and they worked extra hard to accommodate and serve us. We will certainly return when we are next in the area.Parking: Parking in front of restaurant.Kid-friendliness: It is a fine dining restaurant, not a kid place. I am sure they would be accommodating, but the menu is not geared to kids, nor is the bar.

Choose this restaurant over any option in Ely, especially if you’re en route to Great Basin National Park. We were delighted with the incredible food and great service (Thanks Shawna!). It’s akin to a fine dining experience you’d expect in the Bay Area or Vegas, and it was hands down the best food we had on our entire road trip. Kudos to the sister chefs and their team! From the Asian tacos and entrees to the homemade ice cream sandwiches and German apple with streusel—every dish was stellar. Unfortunately, we missed the chance to try their lattes and breakfast as we were headed in the opposite direction the next morning.

Darling coffee shop and delicious food! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner here with a small break in-between. They're open Friday through Tuesday. Best place to get a latte in over 100 miles 💞

Right at the entrance to Great Basin National Park. Charlie and Crystal were wonderful Sunday morning! Delicious breakfast and conversation. Blessings to you both now and in future aspirations!Dietary restrictions: They were happy to modify for meatless for our daughter as able even tho the menu is not geared twd vegetarians.Kid-friendliness: Can dine inside or outside. Quite casual and personable atmosphere. There is a bar, so suspect nights might want to check before bringing minors.Wheelchair accessibility: Single level, no stairs. Roomy bathroom, but no railing(?)

We loved our experience here. Local sisters who are the owner/chefs with an unexpected, extremely well prepared and delicious menu. The quality of the food was outstanding and we had dinner, went back for breakfast the next day (take home some of their home-made granola!), and returned a third time to reward our hiking efforts with their home-made ice cream sandwich - all within 24 hours! This is the kind of local business you really want to support, you won't be disappointed!

Looking for some ice cream after ur hike to the bristlecone pine grove on Mt Wheeler. Stopped in to find out they do not serve ice cream. The friendly server said they do have home made ice cream sandwiches. Wife had the chocolate chip with vanilla and I have the Mint chocolate chip on sugar cookies. All made in the house. The Mint cream was made with mint that the chef harvested from their garden.

The breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito were delicious. They also had some some shaded outdoor seating where we could eat and have our dog with us. Great little spot!

Service is so hit or miss. Being the only restaurant around we went here almost every night of our stay in the area. Some nights we were there we were served and greeted by the two younger employees. They were kind and attentive. The two older waitresses we experienced ignored us. Waited in the doorway and didn’t get recognized by them for a full 15-20 minutes. We left and made some ramen back at camp that night. The pizza is AMAZING. We ate it for dinner every night we were there!

Fresh and quality food. I had the best thin crust pizza, you can feel the crunch. The story of the chef and the restaurant itself is so inspiring. This is a must visit if you are in the small beautiful town of Baker.

This is a family-owned restaurant that is the only sit-down place we found in town. It was a very pleasant surprise. Food was very good, service was a little slow but they had only two servers when we first arrived. Deserted are great.

This restuarant is a little hidden gem of a restaurant, that sadly we did not find until our second nights stay. The first night we were looking for a place to eat, we were not impressed with what Baker, NV. had to offer in the way of places to eat. We heard about this place, Sugar, Salt & Malt that has really good coffee, breakfast and lunch items on the menu. My cheese pie biscuit was fabulous and my husbands breakfast burrito was delicious, coffee was really good. BTW, they closes at 3:00, but they open back up at 4:30 - 8:00 for dinner. I had the homemade ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and topped with olive oil, basil, parmesan cheese, and balsamic vinegar and my husband had the meat lovers pizza. We were both impressed. Topped it off with a rootbeer float. Ice cream was house made. A little slice of heaven in the middle of the desert!

The hot pastrami sandwich has a tasty touch of smoke that makes it uniquely delicious. And if you’re lucky, you’ll n addition to the yummy ice cream sandwiches on the menu you might find a unique combination of cookie and ice ram available on any given day. Today’s snickerdoodle with salted Carmel ice cream was perfectly delightful with my chai tea.

Service was quick but faulty -- wrong order (on the sides to the lamb burger) and no acknowledgement by the owners (the server seemed new and while jovial, he didn't offer to fix the error despite saying he clicked on the wrong item on his screen). Overall an ok experience considering where they are located. However, one morning we showed up for breakfast and they never opened despite the sign saying they were open that day of the week.

Best coffee hands down for 1000 miles! Whip cream is made fresh and very rich. We stopped here for 3 days to have breakfast. Breakfast burrito +5 stars. Simple perfection! They have 3 spaces to sit perfect if you want to be inside outside and or loud or quite. We sat outside and just relaxed for a few hours making plans for our next national park. Staff was super friendly and cheerful. Really a gem of a place. Can't wait to come back.
