We didn't stay in the rooms, but we did use the campground. It was nice and quiet. We did have dinner at the casino once night. The food was great and Joe was so kind and awesome. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone.Nearby activities: Great basin national park

We stayed in the trailer park for a few days for a quick quiet get away. We were really happy here. The staff were all extremely friendly, the food was good and the atmosphere was nice at the casino and arcade. What I was really impressed with was how clean the bathroom/showers were which I think is always one of the most important things when deciding on a trailer/RV park to stay at. We will definitely stay here again.

I stopped here for a 10. I've never been on this road. I'm glad I finally got a chance to drive this. And this place topped it off. The people are super friendly. No issues with me parking my truck here overnight. Lots of room. Open 24 hours. Bathrooms. Looks like they have showers and laundry. It's geared for campers heading for Great Basin National Park but works for us truckers too.I asked for a recommendation from. The kitchen and was referred to the Bacon Cheese burger. That was a really good burger. I'll be back this way.

For the price we paid, this place was awesome! We stayed in the rv park. Our rig is 54 ft long with patio down. We fit well! Full hookups, gas station (diesel too), store, playground, pool tables and restaurant on site. The views are amazing as the sun comes up and sets over the basin. And just 7 miles to the national park, this is your stop!Do stock up on groceries before coming out. And book your tickets to go in a cave at the national park early! The staff was super friendly and let us know when activities were! If this review helps you, give us a thumbs up!#crazykleinadventureNearby activities: Best stop to get into the national park!

It is difficult to describe all that is happening here. It is a gas station, a bar, a convenience store, a casino, a restaurant, a motel and more! The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are dated but clean. The breakfast was delicious. Located close to Great Basin National Park, it is a good option for hikers and visitors.

Search Hotels on Google maps and it shows up with a $45 room rate. But check in and it's actually $110. And the person acknowledged that issue exists, said it's that rate for the RV park, said nearest other hotel is an hour in either direction. Hmmm, but ok because I am cold and tired I submitted. Like other reviews, it has no TV, bead is ok, room heater works thank.god but it barely passes for basic.Had a bacon cheeseburger and fries at the bar, was quite good, and two draft beers. The menu states $3 beer, but I got charged $5 beer. When I addressed that error, there server said yeah it's been wrong for months. I said that's illegal, it's called bait and switch, at which point she became alarmed and withdrawn as if caught but said she couldn't do anything about it. Overall, this place has a creepy and devious vibe. If you don't have to stop, don't!!!

This is a throwback hotel from the 80's and I liked it a lot. It was dated but comfortable and there's nothing for miles. The real gem here is the restaurant. At the kid working the counter’s suggestion, I had the Ortega beef sandwich on rye with chilis and it was excellent and well-priced. The casino is where old slot machines go to die but I love those damn things. I visited in March, when the snow was awful and everyone was nice to me and gave me great tips on how to navigate the roads.

We stayed at one of the RV sites. These are big and roomy and not crowded. Great water pressure. Good 50 amps, and sewer. About 10 miles from Great Basin NP with great views of the mountains. But boy can the wind blow! Almost 50 mph one night and a good 35 gusts tonight. Reasonable diesel, free air. Small Casino mainly just slots. Small store with a grill which was pretty good. Very nice staff. Could not have been lovelier. The views of the mountains and the basin are terrific and not much highway noise because almost nothing goes by!

Needing a place close to Great Basin National Park, we found only Border Inn having rooms available at the time. Remembering this is some 10 miles from anything else and on the “Loneliest Road in America”, we were ok with the few, quirky amenity challenges one can expect in a remote location when there’s a nationwide staff shortage. A few things need to be updated/fixed, but easy to work around, and overlook, especially with new ownership, compared to the handy availability of fuel, air, food, a bar, a few gravel roads to take a lonely run on, and the proximity to National Park including Lehman Caves. Staff were friendly and fun, and the bar was a blissful retro scene from the 80s with music and a casual everybody’s welcome vibe. Coming from work or a long hike? Come on in. Food was generous and good for a pub, and there’s only one other proper restaurant in the town of Baker a 10 minute drive away. We booked for three nights but once arriving in Vegas after, we wanted to go back. This place is an American icon.Rooms: Style is 70s dark paneled but clean. We had two single beds which were fine for us. We needed to defrost the fridge (done it before at many properties), sink drain wouldn’t open once closed, and a light bulb was arcing so we just didn’t use that. All work in progress I’d think. Good shower, aircon if needed, parking right next to your room. Easy in, easy out, to the Rt50. Step out of your room for gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.Nearby activities: Star-gazing, Lehman Caves, worth going at 7:50AM to get on an extra tour if the scheduled ones are full; drive up Summit Rd and walk to the glacial lakes or up Wheeler Peak.Food & drinks: Variety of beers & wines at reasonable prices; also takeaways. Food is available in dining area and in shop.

This cute old school motel is great! The service is amazing. The rooms are clean (thr power of pineal greeted me when I opened rhe door) if a bit dated. The shower had a dual head with a shower head and hand held. Loved it.The AC worked just fine. Kept the room cool during a heat wave. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave. Had to goto the mini Mart for hot water for tea but not a big deal. Nice hot water from the big coffee maker is better than those teeny in room ones anyway.I took a star away from the bed. I've slept on floors more comfy but that's a risk with hotels.Enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it. Very close to Great Basin National Park. There is some cute decor around the buildings as well. All in all very nice.

Walked in our room and promptly checked out. It was worth it to us to drive two hours away to a hotel that wasn’t so sketchy.Admittedly the rooms are as pictured on their website. What wasn’t shown was the crack in the heater piping, flies everywhere, lumpy beds, things falling off walls, oh and the large gap under the door. In the restaurant you can hear the bugs zapper just killing bugs left and right. This is the place you stay when you’re young and don’t care, or if you’re absolutely just desperate for a place. Also, be prepared for them to ask to take a picture of your license. That was a huge red flag.

The rooms are very basic but it was mostly clean. The bed was horrible. You literally rolled to the center it was so soft. I couldn’t sleep on it at all. The people were nice. It’s really the only place to stay near the caves so of course it was over priced.Noteworthy details: Very basic

What a fantastic place! A gem in the desert on the "Not so lonely highway" when you stop in to visit this eclectic roadside treasure! With Diego hosting as well as serving up fantastic fare in the quaint little restaurant you can be assured a great day. We didn't get to meet the cook behind the scenes, but wow, this is great food!Incredibly clean stylish bathrooms, a walk of fame photo gallery, casino, air hockey, pool tables, really cute bar, and pool tables. So much diversity and so much to see at this little beauty of a roadside oasis!

This place really is in the middle of nowhere and this makes getting a really excellent meal even more enjoyable! The salads are substantial and fresh (how do they do this?) The lamb stew was superb, so good that we ordered extra portions to take to our next camping destination. This should really be on a specials list as it is made fresh by the friendly chef. I cannot say enough good things about this fascinating place. And I will not even mention the fall sunsets.

The Restaurant here was pretty good and kind of hidden. Burgers, fries and other quick bar food.If you're hungry at 7pm this is a great place to come. Very quiet and easy dinner with an open Chromecast for anyone to cast to.Fry sauce, fries and an easy going burger is amazing to come to after a long drive.Vegetarian options: They have fries and entree options for you.Parking: Lots of open asphalt parking.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly options for picky kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Door seems wheelchair accessible with ramped concrete.

The restaurant seemed to be very rigid. For instance, they would not substitute "chips" on the Fish and Chips meal for french fries. I had to change my meal to get french fries. They also would not allow us to pay extra to put bacon on a kids hamburger. They wanted to force us to get an adult burger for six dollars more. They use a microwave for some of their food, we heard it ding while we were waiting for our food. The lemonade tastes like watered down Crystal Light. They also charge you extra to get french fries with your burger. The waitress seemed very unconcerned with our satisfaction and a sun spider literally crawled across the floor toward us. They were completely overpriced. We payed $17 for 2 chicken strips and some fries. The chicken strips were not edible. Everyone else in our group had burgers and they said it was edible. I had to ask for utensils and napkins and the server never checked on us and we ended up running out of ketchup. The honey mustard they gave us was expired, it says it right on the bottle that was set on our table. The server checked on us once when we were finished with what we could eat.
