Stopped in here multiple times, they have all of the essentials and fair prices. The staff are genuine and friendly people. There is also a restaurant in the market, I have tried the fried rice and the burgers, both were delicious!

An incredible market run by the kindest souls in the desert. My alternator failed in Amargosa Valley and Ed (the owner) was kind enough to jump my car and help me repair it in the Martell Market driveway. There is a kitchen and dining area connected to the store with an elaborate menu. The staff is friendly, as are the prices, if you're looking for good deals :$)

We were rescued by them when our car got stuck in the sand. We found out this amazing grocery store with kitchen aside. The Taiwanese food from here was very authentic! And people from the store are very nice. If anyone need anything, literally, come to Martell Market!

Great little market and restaurant. We are vegetarian, and asked Miss Sunny about her vegetarian options, and she went back to the kitchen and cooked us a completely fresh and healthy vegetarian meal. It was delicious, and well-priced! It definitely hit the spot after a long day of hiking in Death Valley. She was super sweet, and even said she'd make us a new meal if we didn't like it! She also told us about how she gets her produce fresh everyday from Las Vegas. If you're a vegetarian in need of delicious food, this is definitely a place to stop if you're nearby!

This Market has a kitchen in the back that i stumbled on,and has some of the best food I have ever eaten!! Sunny is the best cook ever!! (I recommend the Orange chicken) It is worth the drive out there and if she is busy...Its worth the wait! The store is well stocked with just about everything you can think of also.

One mistake I made was not bringing enough food to Death Valley. Martell Market saved me from bland $50 dinners at the Inn at Death Valley with Korean ramen noodles. They also have a good selection of ice cream bars, cold drinks, and snacks. The owner was very kind and friendly!

If you live nearby or are just passing thru, do yourself a favor and stop in and visit the Martell Market! This place is the coolest little off the beaten path, one stop...has almost everything shop I've ever experienced!The Martell Market is just a few short miles down Valley View Rd. in Amargosa Valley, you just take Valley View to Amargosa Farm Rd., then turn right and go about 3/4 of a mile, it will be on the left hand side of the road! This place is so cool, they even have a Red Bull vending machine out front!If you are at all hungry, you must come and try Sunny's Kitchen for lunch or dinner! It is hands down, by far, the best of all of your favorite foods, served direct to you, hot and fresh, every time! I'm talking the greatest All around American food, like cheeseburgers that are grilled fresh, right off the barbeque grill! Awesome crinkle fries, delicious hot dogs, incredible chicken nuggets and the best part is the extremely generous portions and the amazing low price! Not to mention Sunny cooks up the absolute best Chinese food, within a 100 mile radius, bar none! I'm talking great fried rice, orange chicken and more! Sunny is the BOMB!This little Market has most all of anyone's grocery needs too! What I found pretty unique is besides the excellent food and grocery store, Ed & Sunny also have a barn full of hardware and home repair items, like plumbing, electrical and landscaping items, hardware and parts. I saw they even had big 50lb bags of animal feed... like chicken scratch, rabbit pellets, bird seed, you name it, they probably have it!When I was there I had a almost flat tire on my car. Ed & Sunny went and got there air compressor and filled my tire back up so I was able to get it patched and I didn't ruin it trying to drive on it all the way to the Area 51 Alien Store & Gas Station! They totally saved my day! (Much to my surprise, I even saw they had a small assortment of brand new tires for sale.) I mean WOW! These guys got it all and offer to help you with just about anything....I even saw they have a car wash service too!They are so incredible, so kind, so helpful. Do yourself a favor and make the detour down to the Martell Market, I'm telling you, you will be glad you did! What a great hometown, sense of community experience, they just don't make em like this anymore!!! Kudos Martell!!!

Well worth the 15 minute detour from the main road. There's a small kitchen in the shop with plenty of meal options at a fair price. We actually broke down in Armagosa valley and were very fortunate to stumble upon this place. I've never met someone so willing to help others as Ed. He helped us get a new alternator and fix our car well enough to make it all the way back to Portland. He saved us about $700 too! I couldn't thank him enough. If you are coming through Armagosa valley I would highly recommend stopping by, it's a wonderful market full of some of the friendliest people you've ever met.

Amazing service! Great owners, Who really appreciate their customers and are very attentive: As we were travelling they give us extra cups, plates, ice with The groceries, cut our melon. And they did not even accept a tip because they appreciate our business. Would defenitely go back there!

Go this Martell Market before you go DV national park, they have pretty much every thing you need.Propane, ice, beer, all kinds of soft drink , especially Chinese food and Mexican food they made.I go this market often, food are amazing. They just finished A HUGE kitchen and you can either eat your food in front porch in breeze or sit in the new dinning room enjoy the AC . People are very nice here.

A girlfriend and I recently visited Amargosa Valley on our way to Death Valley and stopped to see Big Dune. We ended up getting stuck and the owner of Martells came at towed us out at a fraction of the price. He and his wife were beyond kind to us and we were able to grab some snacks + a big bottle of much needed wine before getting back on the road. If you're driving through make sure to stop here!

Good place to sit on the front porch and visit with neighbors. Also, only place to sit on the front porch...UPDATE FEB 2019: Back to Martell's Market during a week of overlanding in Death Valley. They've grown, and now offer pretty good food in the middle of nowhere at great prices. Better beer selection. Quite a bit of sundries - a sense of randomness about it but they'll help find what you need. Still a good (and only) place to sit on the front porch and visit on Farm Road.

You're likely visiting Death Valley or driving to/from Las Vegas if you find yourself in this middle of nowhere area. Well, this market is the best market for a 50-mile radius. We were visiting Death Valley and staying at Beatty, and this is the only place where we could get vegetables and fruit. <== this is not an exaggerationFortunately, this store has everything, and the owner, Sunny, is a complete sweetheart as well. There's food from tacos, to sandwiches, to Chinese food and pizza, and everything is reasonably priced <== unlike those ridiculously priced gas stations out in the middle of nowhere.She sells hardware too, which can be handy information if you find yourself needing hardware in the middle of nowhere.Worth a visit for sure!

We went to visit the Big Dunes and our car got stuck in the sand. AAA was unable to send anyone but in less than 30 mins Martell Market was able to get people down to help us. Super friendly people was a pleasure meeting them.

This small grocery store is run by a very kind Taiwanese woman it’s got everything you might need out in the desert at great local prices. She also serves up a delicious Kung Pow Chicken and the Asian food selection is on point. You can even get Mi Goreng!

Martell Market is a must stop if you're traveling between Death Valley and Ash Meadows. If you're in search of flavorful, fresh food in the middle of the desert, Sunny's authentic Chinese food (no msg, salt) is as delightful as she is. The market, run by super friendly Ed, has an amazing array of well-known brands plus hard to find Asian and Hispanic staples. Not to mention any kind of hardware or partyware - pinatas! You'll never be stuck in the mud in these parts - when the park service, AAA, and the local towing service can't save you - Ed and his Martell Market crew will - without hesitation, and with patience and persistence... the payment? A donation. Believe me, you'll empty your wallet with gratitude! We certainly did!

Found this place by word of mouth while working out here in Amagosa Valley. Sunny, the owner, welcomed us with open arms interested to meet, greet, and feed us. We went for Chinese food in mind but their menu had Chinese, Mexican, and American food (to call in to order too!) We ordered thier Kung Pao Chicken and we loved it! She was thrilled to know they cooked it spicy enough to our liking, they wanted to cater to our taste. We picked up a case of water and bag of ice, she kindly offered us a pen and to call if we needed anything they are just a friendly phone call away as they have lots of assorted items from dry goods to grocery to snackswhile we're away from home. Definitely will come back Sunny!!

We called to make sure the cafe was open. They let us know it was, but then it was closed when we showed up 10 minutes later. They were apathetic and unapologetic that we drove 20 minutes out of our way to feed out kids and they had bo food for us.

Dude closed on me right when I walked in at 9am. Shut the door in my face and mumbled some nonsense. I had a good laugh at his cruelness and carelessness but felt inclined to leave this here... not "decent" ppl as another reviewer suggested.
