This place is wild but I absolutely loved it! We were starved after hiking Death Valley and this is basically the only restaurant in the area. Food at the diner was decent. But we loved the cat running around, the old school decorations and the little shop inside. The fireplace in the casino was another bonus. The outdoor area looked really cool- wish we would have stayed overnight here!

We came to the Longstreet to visit family who live in Amargosa Valley. The rooms were clean and the queen beds were comfortable. The bbq ribs were thick and delicious as well as the coleslaw. Breakfasts are the best way to start your morning there with a cup of Jo. It was fun to walk out and feed the Canadian geese and ducks some bread. This was a once in a lifetime experience to see Amargosa Valley with a full bloom of Desert Sunflowers š» We will return.

Being right outside of Death Valley and 1/5 of the price of staying in the park, this place was perfect for us. The rooms are dated but we were very happy staying there. The food in the cafe/restaurant was fabulous. The ribeye steak was amazing!

Stayed here in 2018 and loved it so much we wanted to go back and its gone downhill. Cleaning standards are down. Particularly pool area which is full of dead bugs and duck faeces. The hot tub was the cleanest part but staff brought their kids down to use it in their regular clothes and they were cleaning their underwear in the water. Obviously been a change in staff since last stay and it shows.

Nice, big, clean and affordable rooms can be found here and it's a great place to say if you're visiting Death Valley, Ash Meadows or anything in the surrounding area. The decor is somewhat dated but the beds are comfortable and what can I say, dogs are very welcome here. The casino is small but it is filled with tons of cool stuff including a statue of Napoleon, an original Wurlitzer jukebox and all kinds of fun decorations to look at. Also, the large bar overlooks the pond and mountains beyond and everything I've been here, the bartender provided very generous pours! Of course, it doesn't hurt that there is a restaurant inside that does serve good food but they are not open 24 hours so you do need to be mindful of that. Oh, and if you need gas or diesel, they have that available too! When you come, be sure to check out the statue of Jack Longstreet and read up all about him and don't forget to take a selfie with the big cow out front!Rooms: The rooms are a bit dated but they are HUGE and I've always found them to be very clean and the beds comfortable. Dog friendly rooms are available too.Nearby activities: Death Valley is a big part of why you should stay here as it is very close to the park. However, Ash Meadows and Devils Hole is a great place to visit as well and it's literally just across the highway. If you're into off roading in the Dunes, Big Dune is just to the north of the hotel as well.Food & drinks: The bar is awesome and with great views of the nice pond and mountains beyond. Every time I've been here, the bartender was super friendly and provided very generous pours.Noteworthy details: Gas and diesel is available at 2 pumps that you can pay at and they're located out in front of the building.

My wife and I stayed overnight here as part of our trip to Death Valley. Conveniently located near the east entrance of Death Valley, the hotel is literally on the Nevada/California border. Staying here reduced our driving time by 2½ hours first thing in the morning. We live in Las Vegas, so gambling was not something we wanted to do at Longstreet. The one nice point was this hotel/casino was quiet at night. Also, my wife liked the room with a walk-in shower instead of a shower/bathtub combo that most have.Staff was friendly, check-in was easy. It is not a busy casino whatsoever. Do not expect 24/7 casino amenities that you would receive in Las Vegas, this is not the place for those services. Will we go back? Yes, without a doubt. The next time we go up to Death Valley as a short getaway trip, we will return.

I stopped here on my drive from Vegas to deTh Valley Park as this is the gas station past area 51 and closer to Death Valley. The gas prices are very reasonable and comparable. This contains a casino, hotel, and Rv resort. The restroom is maintained decent, and the grocery store prices are normal. There are showers for usage. There is a pond in the back.looks great, and there are farm animals. It's an okay place to stop by getting something and head out.

Nice rooms, has a casino just like any Nevada hotel. Staff is friendly. Has a mini mart inside the hotel. Has pool and RV park with gas and propane station. Affordable options for visiting Death Valley just 30 minutes drive to furnace creek visitors center.

If you want to play the slots.....Do so but while I was there (4 hours). No one won, no bells and whistles, no flashing lights, no grand or major wins. No pictures of past winners. Very bland, no excitement, lots of smoke. No incentive to play.On US 95......I've hit at least the major.Better casinos and pay outs along the US 95.Oh well. Cuz of this experience. I will no longer play slots. It's for some people so I wish you the best.I did not visit the restaurant since I made a donation to the casino.Truckers.....Overnight parkingLaundryShowers at 5$Hope you have better luck than I.ššš

Cute and historical. A gateway to Death Valley. There's a steak house and Cafe. We made a quick stop during our day trip. We would come back for a longer look. I got to pet the resident cat!

After visiting Death Valley I stopped here on my way to Mammoth Lakes. It's a very quaint hotel but I found it fascinating, with the casino, the live music and the strange furniture. The room was very spacious and had a back door with a beautiful view on a small artificial lake: unfortunately I ignored the warning sign and opened it, leaving room for crickets to enter the room. One of them got stuck in the air conditioning unit and kept making noise so I asked to change room: the staff was kind enough to satisfy my request. The restaurant is good and has quite low prices.

A casino with personality??! I thought that only existed in the fairytale, but here it is. I came here without much expectation, because Longstreet inn restaurant is the only place open after 9pm around death alley area. But OH BOY! How I love this place. Not only they have the awesome live music, but also all those cute animals!! They all super friendly, beg for pet the new year party was awesome! I lost 20 bucks in gambling but thatās ok. to think that part of my money going to get those cute babies food Iām happy again haha! Restaurant price is great! Gas price is great too! Will make Longstreet my home base every time I come to Death Valley šš

We stayed at the RV campground for 7 nights while visiting Death Valley National Park: the casino is the first thing you see as you drive north past the east Route 190 entrance to the park and cross into Nevada. You park your rig to the right side of the fuel pumps and the propane refill station while you check in at the front desk, which is immediately on your left when you enter the main casino doors. They gave us the option of taking a site near the building or further away where it was less crowded. We chose the latter, putting us on the northwest end of the campground, with a decent view of the mountains located in that direction. As you drive down the gravel road leading to the campground, you'll pass a "petting zoo" on your left containing a couple of mules, a goat, a sheep, and some sort of ox or bullThe campground is simply a gravel lot with one short row of back-in spots and two longer rows of pull-throughs. Each site has full-hookups one-third of the way from the back of the site, with a lidded below-ground water spigot, and a waist-high globe lamp that comes on when it gets dark. There are no picnic tables or fire rings. Every few sites there are large trash cans which are emptied every Monday and Thursday morning, and a few sites have a single tree between them but none large enough to provide any real shade. The casino/hotel is the cultural center of the campground. You can reach the casino from the campground via a short flight of wide shallow steps or a concrete ramp that goes by three dumpsters. Either route brings you to a grassy yard surrounding an artificial pond fed from multiple cascading fountains, full of statues and sculptures of different styles. There is an outdoor pool and soaking spa on the left (open seasonally). In addition to the slot machines, the casino also contains a cafe restaurant, a gas station-sized convenience store (open 24/7), and more statues and exhibits. The best place to walk dogs is in the grassy area: just mind the goose poop and the ducks/geese that hang out in the pond. There is another artificial pond with some palm trees on the opposite side of the campground from the casino that is a good second choice. After that, your remaining choices are the dirt areas on the edge of the campground, and the areas of dirt with short ground vegetation tend to have prickly goatheads on the ground. In terms of cell service, the best bandwidth I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna showed 7 Mbps down and 3 up, but there were enough prioritized Verizon users nearby to make the service too slow to be usable except very early in the morning. The speed test I ran on my 5G AT&T smartphone showed 43 Mbps down and 22 up, and AT&T was reliable throughout our stay. We were one site away from the nearest WiFi router, and the WiFi was okay for web browsing and even short video content most of the time: I recorded 11 Mbps down and 4 up.

A bit old and noisy with bathroom water and ventilation. Room itself is quite clean and big. Nice atmosphere and little pond with statues. Gas is cheap!Nearby activities: 30 min to Death Valley

We checked in Jan, 14th, 2024 Sunday night. The lady who checked us in was amazing and went well above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Unfortunately I can't remember her name. In addition to that the other people who were in the front desk were also very friendly and helpful. The young lady who served breakfast for us in the morning of Jan 16th was also amazing!

Located in the middle of nowhere directly near a entrance to death valley, this has been on of the hotel highlights during our trip. The rooms are nice enough, if a bit outdated. But clean and tidy with no bad smells or something. The shower was made for people under 170cm height, everybody larger has to duck when showering. But that's really not a problem, the water holds the temperature and flows strong. The only unpleasant thing was the air condition, which is placed on ground level and blows the cold air directly at your head when you're sleeping. So no air condition during the night. We had a room towards the back and had a great view of the beautiful garden area which is very lovingly designed. Also lots of ducks and geese. Fun.One of the highlights is the pool. One swimming pool, and one big jacuzzi. Swimming with an impressive view of the surrounding mountains and desert is quite an experience.I can't say anything about the casino, but there's a small shop open 24/7 and a mediocre restaurant. People were all very friendly and helpful. All in all a recommendation, and totally kid friendly, since the pool isn't that deep and is open until 10pm.Noteworthy details: There's a gas station directly on the parking lot.

I loves this place. It is āHotel Californiaā vibes all day long! There is really not much there. I was coming in from Death Valley. I was hot and tired. It is a white hotel and it just has a vibe. There is a casino but I didnāt play. I did order dinner the first night from the restaurant there. It was good. The room was clean and the bed and pillows comfortable. They also have a place for you to do laundry. So reallyā¦you can check in any time you like, you donāt have to leave. At least as long as you pay your bill.

An online booking company screwed up everything. Payed, called hotel directly to verify reservation, drive a few hundred miles.... arrive at night only to have no key or staff to help out at another hotel nearby. Almost left in the cold middle of the night. Ellen at Longstreet Inn Casino & RV Resort saved the day. Price is reasonable and close to Death Valley. 24hr minimart inside. Staff very friendly and live music some nights at the bar. Hotel is dated but some rooms have a great view! They do need to improve the shower heads though.

The best, most friendly, helpful staff ever! It's obviously an older hotel but so very well kept up. The beds are so comfortable I felt like I was at home. We already have plans to return next year and stay an extra night. Oh, and the Cafe in the hotel has a good-sized menu, and the food is excellent. The prices are a bit on the high side, but considering where you are, it's to be expected.

My wife and I ate in the restaurant. There was no wait. Servers were all very polite, even made a pot of coffee since there was none. Food was delicious, we shared a nachos, which were heaped with everything. My wife had the homemade meatloaf and I had the chicken Parmigiano. Both were cooked just right with appropriate serving sizes. We left full, but not bloated. Only down was having to walk to the bar for my own beer, by that was probably a casino/Nevada issue.Cannot rate rooms as we did not stay here.
