At the alamo again. This is my favorite motel of all time. It's always clean and comfortable. We travel with dogs. 4 of them and the 5 dollar pet fee is the best I have ever encountered. I love this motel. They don't screw you over in prices. They have never batted an eye at our dogs. It's always clean and welcoming. And we can't forget about their amazingly hot showers with awesome pressureRooms: Super clean

It's an old place under rehabilitation. Old but clean. Excellent beds and linens. Rather charming in a way. They generally require reservations. Was grateful we could get a room. Great family room with lots of space. Two queen beds and a twin so you could sleep five for under $100.00. If I go that way again I'll get a reservation. If your fond of farms and ranching those folks traveling with large animal haulers will no doubt be in the lot.

We enjoyed a great stay at the Alamo Inn. The property and rooms are vintage, a pleasant reminder of days gone by. Everything was perfectly clean and worked well, no problems at all. Owner / staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly…when a thunderstorm knocked out power throughout the town, owner came around with battery-powered lanterns for guests to use in their rooms. You don’t get that experience at a Day’s Inn! Power was restored before nightfall, thankfully. We also enjoyed the ample outdoor seating, increasingly a rarity at hotels. Thank you Alamo Inn for hosting us four rain-soaked motorbike riders, we loved it!

Friendly owner, great coffee and the rooms were exactly what I expected for the middle of no where. Clean, spacious and affordable! I don't need luxury, just a clean, fresh smelling room with a/c will make me happy. There is an outdoor seating area and firepit area. I enjoyed just sitting outside my door looking at the sky at night or enjoying the morning breeze with a good cup of coffee from the office provided. One note, the a/c in the ceiling had an occasional drip to the floor that made a wet spot on the carpet. Forgot to tell owner so maybe he'll see this review. Room 4.

The reason I gave this Inn a 5 star is the value for money spent. Sure if I spent twice as much I would have expected a few minor irrelevant deficiencies fixed but for the money spent this Inn was a great place to stay over. I will elaborate. The host and proprietor, Vern, was SUPER friendly, available and helpful. The room was VERY clean, the bed and pillows were good, I had a great sleep the 3 nights I was here. The A/C worked wonderfully and was much appreciated. I enjoyed the little patio outside our room every night.Long story short if I ever come back to Alamo again, I hope Vern will still be there and I know I have a safe, clean place for the stay. Thank you Vern. (Edwin)

We stopped here to be closer to our destination with a automobile malfunction. The room was inexpensive, as well as basic and clean. However, the bathroom floor should be replaced. The owner was very helpful and friendly and if we are ever in this part of town again for an overnight stay, this is where we’ll stay.Rooms: The bathroom floor should be replaced.Safety: Very safe and quiet area.

Cool little Motel. Nostalgic and and rustic sort of feel to it that’s very inviting. Top notch customer service, the front desk happily give good directions, left the key in the room and turned the heat on for us so we could just check ourselves in and deal with paperwork in the morning. The room was very clean and the towels were way softer than the Mote 6 or Roadway Inn we stayed at recently. We were greeted in the morning like family with well wishes and fresh coffee. They also have a little outdoor courtyard with cook station and fire pit. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a good stay here and it could have been GREAT if the toilet had not been a rocking horse and the shower had not shot me in the face and wet the ceiling. The water came out of the pipe leading to the shower head. We had to put a towel over the pipe to keep the water from spraying the bathroom floor and ceiling. The shower head was so loose and could not be adjusted it hung down and shot you in the face the whole time you were in the shower. I think you could have drown in the shower with the water hitting you in the face. It was an experience, and we realize it's an old motel but these two things need to be fixed in room 9.

This place has thin walls. The owner allows people to gather directly outside these few rooms to socialize; he said he has a 9:00 curfew. I should not have to hear people’s loud conversation from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. I need a hotel that is quiet; this is not it. Also, they use too much detergent in the sheets and it bothered my breathing. But the owner is quite congenial.

If you are looking for something fancy, I frankly don't know why you're looking in this part of the desert, but if you're looking for a clean and safe place to rest, with amazingly friendly staff (and towns folk in general), then Alamo Inn is it. I found myself trapped there after my truck went out, and this town and its people truly helped me make the best out of a bad situation. The rooms are reasonably priced. The owner is very kind and everyone speaks so highly of him. The pet fee was mkniman for my dog, and there's lots of space for a dog to have play time. There are some prickly bits from local plants, so small paws might want booties, but it's mostly gravel/dirt. The rooms were clean and had what er needed.Theres nothing as far as restaurants, but the Sinclair Glas station has a full Tardis-type store in that I thought it was just a gas station stop, but it's a whole a$$ grocery store, and pretty well stocked for how remote they are. There's also a chicken spot in the store.A lot of police presence, mostly passive, just sitting on the side of the road... But the road is all there is to the town, so don't come trying to cause mess. They ready. If you are passing through and need a place for the 3 S's (sleep, sh*t, & shower), Alamo Inn is definitely a great option.I took off one star because the room is carpeted (personal preference, especially for pet friendly places), and because cell & internet coverage is shotty. The motel does offer free wifi, but likely to to the remote area and the cement walls, it's not super strong. Also, locals advised Verizon works well out here. So if you really need strong cell/internet, consider that. But don't be discouraged. If the scale was 1-10, they'd be getting a 9-9.5!

Although not fancy, the atmosphere was pleasant with several outdoor conversational seating areas w guests sitting around chatting. Room had the basics-microwave, fridge, large tv. It was a quick stopover for me from Idaho to Phoenix and the location was perfect for driving w dogs. Great spots to take dogs right onto nature just out the door. Gal at check in was friendly and informative. It's ready for some updates, especially the bathrooms. But clean and very well priced.

Stopped here while passing thru. Nice little hotel that feels like you stepped back in time with a country feel. The room and bedding was clean, shower nice and hot, however the carpet had seen better days but seeing as I got a pet room I would imagine that the non pet rooms might be a tad nicer due to the lack of pets coming and going. Also the door to the room was a hollow core door and not a real exterior door to which it was warped due to moisture making opening it awkward to open. They even have a fire pit and bbq which I didn’t know until I was already down for the evening and I’m sure would have been nice to sit by. The “non smoking room sign with the small caption of “take your green outside :)” gave me a good chuckle... I like a sense of humor. All in all I’d probably use this place again on my next time through... cheap, clean and basic... all I need.

Very happy with the room here. It's a older motel but they are taking good care of it and it making it comfortable as possible. The heater works great and the bathroom is cleaner than most other older motels I have stayed in. We will stay here again when in the area needing a good place to sleep.

Clean room with Direct TV and great staff. Fire pit is a plus with a great view. The best part was meeting Hank during check out. You must meet Hank sometime during your stay, he will definitely make your day better!

Saw this place online when I was looking for a hotel near Rachel, thought it couldn’t be great but it is. The owner is super nice and the rooms are clean and perfectly vintage. Don’t waste your time driving from a air b&b in Vegas like I did. Stay here!

I found myself exhausted on a cross-state trip with my young daughter recently and decided to stop into this little place. I am pretty picky about hotels normally, but was also on a budget this time.I was pleasantly surprised to find this place was very very clean. Often these little motels are dingy or poorly maintained--but this one was neat and cozy. It is not as obvious from the outside, but the inside shows pride of ownership on part of the owners/managers.The beds were so-so, but passable. No bugs to be seen. Carpets and linens were clean. Only complaint was that the hot water took a really long time to make it to the shower.Would definitely stay there again. I'm sure their rates fluctuate, but they were $56 on a Friday, whereas the Windmill place was $100.
