There's been a significant decline here over the last year or so. Three stars is being generous.Their "hours" vary. One day they might be closing at 6:00. Another at 9:00 or some other time. What is posted online cannot be relied upon. Calling in advance isn't helpful as they rarely answer. Driving several miles there round trip to do business only to discover they aren't open is inexcusable.Pricing can sometimes be an issue. The self checkout usually doesn't total discounted or sale items for me. Make sure to check out with a clerk.There's only a couple of regulars left working there that seem to know how to interact with the public. The one guy currently working there is unsociable and acts like it's an inconvenience serving customers.All of the good managers have left in recent years. It seems that the better help leaves or is no longer there. They are often short staffed where employees are busy stocking or doing other work while the front register area goes unattended.The store itself while smaller is pretty nice and is usually clean, and generally stocked and orderly.Hours online should reflect actual hours of doing business with very few exception. It should go without saying to relate well with customers. Surely there's a way to ensure that all prices are accurately charged at the self checkout. Nothing is posted otherwise there. Perhaps the state should look into the inaccuracy issues here.*All my reviews are independent and are based on my own personal experiences with the aim of accuracy and being truthful. Store in woodriver has closed severel times during the days of the last couple months. Went there today at 4pm and someone in the lot said someone walked out and locked the store and no one to open it. It's the only store here before driving all the way to gi.

Drove 15 miles cause it says there open only to see there not called them to ask if they were open cause there was vehicles outside and they said not til 6 pm. ???? It's 12 in the afternoon and there not opening til tonight at 6 pm. Very odd. They shouldn't say there open if there not especially for those who drove a distance.

The store is a bit small so it doesn't offer as much as you'd get at a bigger store. There are a few people who work there that spill their drama though. One of them are usually working and boy do I hear all the issues with the store and the company and how "someone" did or didn't do. Geezzz not my drama as a customer I don't need to hear this. I'm a assistant manager for a gas station been working in retail the past 20 years this store is the worst I've ever known to have such unhappy employees. Yet this store is always hiring but isn't really. Aside from drama there's a verity of foods. Often they have alot of empty spaces and the staff blame it on someone else. It's a clean store.

The major complaint I have with this store is their pricing. Stopped and got 4 items. One was for $2 and the other three were suppose to be a dollar as advertised on the shelves. Not so. One of my items was priced wrong and was 95 cents more than what it was suppose to be. That may seam not much but when u live paycheck by paycheck that could mean a lot

Was up there for an item my son asked for. The cashiers were rude and very disrespectful. They were talking bad about customers in the store at the time of me checking out. The one cashier practically shoved me into someone standing behind me and rudely told me to step back when I clearly couldn't any further. If "essential" workers are going to be rude during the pandemic and treat customers like that they shouldnt be working or the store shouldnt be open. Sorry but I worked around elderly and am fine. I know the precautions and dont need to be belittle or mistreated for picking things up for my kid when he wants them. These employees need to relax. And think before the talk badly about people in front of them.

I love the Dollar store in Wood River it is very convenient and has some reasonable prices. Helps for those items you need where you don't have to drive 16 miles to get to a different store.

This particular store is always a cluttered mess with isles blocked and no sense of organization. One of the clerks was pleasant and helpful but the other was very rude and short tempered. She acted like I was an inconvenience not a customer.

Oh please, the reviews listed above are probably from friends or friends of the actual owner. Employees are 80 to 85 percent more concerned with getting their odd jobs done like pricing and inventory. 2 weeks ago i was told to "hold on" while she counted chips with the Lays delivery guy. After 3 minutes at the register i just left my stuff and went to the store 3 blocks away. They are understaffed, but more concerned with their chores. 2 young people used to flirt and tackle each other in the aisles. The pricing sucks, are you out of your mind? I would write a better review if i wasnt on the backburner while they get their chores done. Or perhaps the owner could hire more employees to relieve required duties. Walking into the store and looking at the register to see if im waiting again.
