Facility - restaurant and bar, very nice decor with quite a few tables and a few booths. No paper menus - use a QR code to view menu.  Salad bar every day.  Separate Party / "Sunday" buffet room.  Bathroom - large and HC accesible.  I had the "Lantz Burger" that I thought was very good.  My wife had the wings that were also good.  Staff - friendly cordial and very accomodating.  guest wifi very good.  I would very much recomend this restaurant.

Great food and the staff is great. Nice bar to sit at. Breakfast is served on weekends and open for lunch through the week so the hours are not exactly as posted.

The place is okay, but not for the prices they charge; it’s incredibly easy to find better quality at better prices in Sioux City or Omaha, and I don’t doubt there’s other options closer, I’m just not familiar with the area. Their burgers are okay — they’re not bad — you’re just going to have to beware of all the up-charges you’re not being told about. For example, your server will ask if you want lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion on your burger without mentioning that each is ¢0.50, adding an extra $2 to every burger for items that are routinely added free elsewhere, but nonetheless should be brought up by the server or put on the menu.The onion rings other reviews are raving about are terrible. The breading is far too thick, and the onion itself is a wispy sliver; when you order the onion rings, you’ll be asked if you want ranch with that, so look out — a tiny cup of ranch dressing is another ¢0.50. The ranch adds nothing to the slightly onion-flavoured breading, so you’ll not be missing anything if you decide to skip. Personally, I would recommend skipping the onion rings entirely; ordering them for $4 extra was my one significant regret about the meal.The appetisers are smaller than their price would imply, but caveat emptor for not asking beforehand, even though the server’s estimated size is a little on the larger side of reality. We ordered appetisers that were $9-10, and asked the size (to calculate sharing) and were left a little disappointed.The specials board doesn’t list prices, and there’s likely a reason for that; it gets tiresome and confusing to ask the price of everything. So expect to spend approximately $5-10 more in prices you’ve misremembered plus all the up-charges you’re not being told about up front.The ‘salad bar’ (the ironic quotes are intentional; I personally don’t consider this an actual salad bar) is okay if you’ve perhaps never seen one before, but it’s extremely limited (and some menu items are very clear that they include only one trip to the ‘salad bar’). Given that there were flies around inside and the items are just sitting out uncovered, it’s up to you if you’re feeling brave, I suppose; I opted out on that one, and so I’m relying on another person’s estimate and my having looked at it to arrive at the ‘meh’ decision.We stopped on a whim during a drive from point A to point B, and in all likelihood will pass this place by in the future unless it’s advertised as under new management or something; considering that we’d expected to leave for about $20-25 per person and it was more like $35 per person (and one person ended up paying even more than that), we felt that we’ve contributed enough to the local economy in that small town for a very long time.Tl;dr: The food isn’t bad, but it isn’t great, the service was good, but the prices are ridiculous in consideration of the quality and quantity, and there’s tons of hidden charges. The ‘salad bar’ is a miss. Go once if you’re curious, but don’t say you weren’t warned. This is a Mom & Pop diner that wants to be a fancy restaurant and it ends up missing both marks.Vegetarian options: There aren’t any real vegetarian options.Parking: Park on the street; if it’s full, do what we should have done and take that as a sign to try somewhere else.

Awesome food and great service! My wife and I eat at a lot of higher end restaurants and our experience with both the food and the service was excellent - one of the best places we have eaten at. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce that complimented it perfectly. The steak was also cooked perfect and was obviously very high quality meat. The side dishes were excellent as well. As an added benefit the owners were very nice and spent time with us which we appreciate very much. We will definitely be stopping again!

Good food, but I can't afford to go back. Make sure you bring plenty of $$. We were in an out in 1.5 hours, not to bad. I like my steak very very rare, it was cooked like my wifes, medium well. No sense bothering the cook, they were working hard enough to meet the orders. I will eat anything, but if you ask me how I want it, that is what I expect. My bill with tip was over $120.00. Not counting the $18.00 burger we took home. The first time we were there, I don't remember it being so expensive and the lady told us the Salad bar came with every meal, but we weren't told about the salad bar at all, so I not sure if that is still true or not. Over all, it is good, just bring extra money.

Main dishes are always good! Ive had steak, burgers, specials, etc...all good and prepared perfectly. Servce is not always as great, young help with little understanding of how to wait a table. Drinks not refilled without asking, empty plates not removed from table, etc. Owner is always super polite and accommodating with everything though when he is in.

I have been to Lantz's several times for lunch and the staff has always been welcoming and the service and food is great! I am not from the area I drive in from Omaha because I love the restaurant and checking out the different shops along the way. It's a fun little road trip and end it with great food.

Food was amazing. Meat was so juicy and melt in your mouth. We went for a Thanksgiving buffet. Definitely on point. Very wide variety. Service was amazing. All employees were smiling and bubbly. Very welcoming and organized for it being a busy holiday. Would recommend to everyone ready to clear their plates.

The service was SO SLOW. Not only did it take or group to start getting food an hour and a half later, people were done eating before I even got my food. Something I would think would be easy and would have kept us more content, drink- bottles of beer and drafts- nothing hard, took over a half hour to 45 minutes and one person didn't get a bottle of busch lite, A Bottle, for an hour. Food tasted good and my steak was cooked well to medium rare. Good salad bar.

My wife and I stopped in while shopping in Wisner for lunch as we were recommend from a friend. The owners were great to talk with and the gluten-free philly cheese steak pizza we had was awesome 👌 Also the mean a very good bloody mary!

We visited Lantz's this afternoon. The place itself is dark and cozy with several seating options. Our table wobbled, but everything was super clean.The service was amazing. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. She was a young girl who breathed kindness. This establishment is lucky to have her. I wish I could have separate ratings for the service and food.Unfortunately the food leaves much to be desired. I was hopeful since the fried mushrooms were really good, despite being frozen. I was actually surprised to learn they weren't made in house. There is a cute little salad bar to make your own pre-meal salad. Everything was fresh and appetizing. The food positives end there. My steak was cooked to the temperature I asked for, but it lacked any kind of flavor or seasonings. The green beans were frozen and bland. The instant mashed potatoes were covered in a brown gravy that tasted like it came from a jar. My boyfriend had the ribeye/egg plate that was equally disappointing in the flavor department. There is a typo on the menu that says you get a 20oz steak, but it is really 12. We found this out after we got the check.The cook did come out and ask how everything was. I think maybe our server told him I didn't eat much since I didn't see him go ask anyone else about their food. I told him the things mentioned in this review and he apologized for my dissatisfaction. I was also assured the gravy was not from a jar.People seem to like it here. I think it just isn't for me.

What a great steakhouse and really a fantastic overall restaurant in a small town. The steaks might be a little more expensive than what they charge at your chain steakhouses but the quality of meat definitely sets it above. You get what you pay for and to me it's worth paying for quality, locally raised meat.

My family waited 2 hours to get our food. I ordered a burger, and it was still bloody. During the entire 2 hours no one came to get us refills. After all that the bill was over 50 dollars for 3 people, and nobody apologized for the poor service.

Service was slow, it took to long to gets drinks. Asked waitress for water and it was never brought to table. The waitress forgot about drinks and water, due to the fact she was to busy talking with friends. This was my first time at this restaurant and very disappointed.

Had a mushroom and Swiss burger with curly fries. Yummy. Son had an A1 burger (special). He raved about how juicy and tasty it was. Even had bacon.
