The Wahoo Meat Locker is, of course, located in downtown Wahoo. It's in an unassuming building with an unassuming name. Once you walk into the store (which is just a small fraction of the locker operation), you know that you are someplace special. The front of house is immaculate, products are nicely organized on the shelves and the coolers are well stocked with more variety of meats, processed and fresh, than you ever thought possible. The quality of the in house prepared items is second to none. Whether you are looking for a special cut of meat or just a snack, you won't be disappointed. The prices are competitive and the service is great. It is so worth the drive.

Hands down the best deer processing locker! The hotdogs, summer sausage and sticks are fantastic!!! Shot my deer opening day and had my meat 8 days later. Great staff and very friendly.

Great place for REAL hot dogs...Natural casing breakfast sausages are recommended, too!If you are looking for various kitchen gadgets, you'll find a lot of options for those, as well! We make a trip about 3-4 times a year, from Lincoln. Worth the trip!

We had a quarter beef processed here, for the first time, just this last month. Super nice crew of people! Cuts look great! I especially like how they vacuum sealed everything. I didn’t think the price was bad at all. Definitely coming back!

Reasonably priced fresh tasty meat! I am not a huge meat person but could eat their meats everyday. They sell other household/kitchen items - some basics and others unique helpful tools. Lots of seasonings and sauces as well as snacks (such as jerky that’s DELICIOUS). Would highly recommend and just a little outside of Omaha.

Fantastic store, good customer service. However pricing was a big gotcha. Had an elk processed, total bill was $820 for 257 lbs of meat. Also not a fan of their sticks, they are very dry. Hopefully the summer sausage is better.

I made a special trip the 40 miles just to Christmas shop here. They have every kitchen gadget imaginable. I bought cute measuring spoons to replace my very worn ones.They have all kinds of fancy jams, canned goods, wines, beer, mixes, plus a huge variety of, of course, MEAT.HOME of the famous Wahoo Wiener, they have so many othee varieties of protein--fish, cheeses, steaks, sausage, bacon, a full meat counter, a full to bursting freezer of frozen meats. Something for everyone.I bought summer sausage shaped like beer bottles for my men this year which will make them laugh but get eaten right away as well.Their help is always so personable.Ive picked up halves of beef our neighbor has taken there to be processed before. Unlike several other places Ive been these people are polite and professional. Theres a loading zone right in front. They help you load and get you boxes if you need them.Ive never left there unhappy.

Double check your purchases before leaving the store. The young man who checked me out today wasn’t feeling well, or else he doesn’t enjoy his job. Gave me two XL t-shirts instead of the 2 Ls that I need. Another trip back to Wahoo won’t be convenient. And what’s the “non-cashadjustment” of $5 added to my bill? It wasn’t explained. Is that a flat tax fee? I haven’t tried the food products yet, but customer service matters almost as much as product.

Top notch butcher with the cutest country store front!! This year was hubby’s first big hunting trip and after reading reviews we knew there was NO other place to go. We hopped in the truck and made the drive from Omaha to Wahoo. We were welcomed by a guy who ended up being the owner. Hubby deboned the deer before we brought it in and asked if we did the process right. We didn’t want to come in looking crazy, so he researched how to properly bring it in.. (since it was our first time). He told him it was actually great for it being his first time. This being our first rodeo, he was extremely thorough and helpful. We had no idea what we were doing or what we wanted and he made the experience ENJOYABLE. (He even gave me a deer jerky stick for trying, which was fantastic). I don’t know too much about hunting, so I let the men talk and then he told me there was a store front, and I sure fell in LOVE. Super cute stuff, I def got lost in looking at all of the local jelly’s and salsas. So many selections and such warm and friendly workers. There as such a wide selection of meats to choose from too!! We ended up paying for our meat, and still spending a pretty penny in the store. Def will come back, just for the excellent service and great selection. The owner even made his way back into the store to check on hubby and thank him personally for his service. It’s doesn’t get any better than that folks!!

Combination old fashioned butcher and foodie gift shop. Great sausages, some Czech specialties, good prices. Well worth the trip from Lincoln.Bonus is that they do very fast turnaround deer processing, and while I have not used their ability to make venison sausage or jerky, if it's as good as their beef and pork products, you'll be well to use them.

This was the first time I used Wahoo Locker to process and butcher a steer. I was pleased for the most part but there were things that made me question some of their actions. As far as I know they gave me all of my meat but they only gave me half the heart and 3 small packages of the liver with no explanation. Why did they keep most of my liver and half of the heart? There was also no oxtail. When I called to ask them about it I was only told that is what they did. They couldn't or wouldn't tell me where the rest of those pieces went or where my oxtail ended up. The butchers I have used in the past would make a note on my specific form about my specific animal if there were problems or issues with any parts or cuts. If I use them again I would make sure they write down all my instructions and tell them that I want all my meat and that I need to be informed before I pick up and pay for the processing if there are any problems.

Way more than just a Butcher shop.Deer season has come again and it is with pleasure to do business with such a great team.I have been using the services of Wahoo Locker for years and have never had any issue as they are up front with everything.We find they have the best Polish Sausage.Don't forget the wieners, sticks and jerky.We find it worth the drive from the Omaha area to be NOT treated as number and asked silly questions like some "Businesses" in Omaha (MillTERD) as we find getting great service to be a BIG deal.Keep up the great work team Wahoo and see you again soon!

Excellent meat locker on main street Wahoo whose claim to fame is "Home to the famous Wahoo Weiner." They have several flavors that are favorites of my kids. Lots of other meat selections and deer processing as well. Good prices. Worth the drive, but DEFINITELY worth stopping if you are going through town anyway.

Just check it out. You won't be disappointed at all. They have a ton of great food and even merchandise. You'll find something you'll like. IF you are hunter, its the best place to get your wild game processed. Deer bacon...trust me...its the best.

The front of the store is great don't get me wrong. I was dealing with the back of the store where they process meat. I brought in two goats I needed slaughtered to be usda processed. It was $210 and I was given back 44 pounds of meat when I gave them 170 pounds live weight. I was so pissed off because I felt as if they had left a lot of meat on the body to do it faster and I paid by the head. So this morning I processed my own goat who weighed less then either of the two I had taken in to get slaughtered and I got 45 pounds of meat back. I feel like I wasted a lot of money and wasted a perfectly fine goat by taking it there.

Awesome locker and facility! Super fast checking in deer on the busiest opening rifle season! Staff was amazing very friendly and very helpful! I highly recommend going here to process your deer!
