This is now my must stop when driving through Valentine NE! I found this to be such an oasis to recharge. They have good coffee, baked goods, deli, snacks and their firestone pizza knocked it out of the park! And they have a gluten free crust option!The other important items, nice restrooms (when traveling is so amazing) and little gift area. Just a gem of a place.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread, cookie and pizza crust options are available!

This is good restaurant to get breakfast and lunch.We eat cripsy turkey wrap and turkey club sandwiches which is yummy! Also they sell pizza and also you can build your own pizza.Also they sell cheese, cookies, cakes, pastries and some spices. Also they sell some beautifull souvenirs.Highly recommend.Parking: We went their on Saturday around 12 noon and there were plenty of parking although is was busy.

A real gem. I don’t know where you’re coming from or where you’re going, but you should plan to stop here. The food was delicious, the market was awesome, and the service was so friendly. They also had merch and a coffee area opening in a couple weeks! We really loved stopping for dinner and doing some grocery shopping! Truly an impressive place.

Food side is the best! Sandwiches and pizza are awesome. Staff is great!!Coffee side--can be good. I am expected to pay $7/coffee, no problem. It takes a solid 10 mins per coffee too. But the gal behind the register stares at you and if you don't choose the highest tip, you get attitude. I got day-old, stale danishes and they were full price. I just don't feel it fair to have to tip on those. And I did still tip, just felt very awkward after as she was super short with us.

My dads side of the family is from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of which I am also a member. We normally visit at least every other year, but we stay in Valentine when we do.We were pleasantly surprised to find Old Mill Bulk Foods and Deli. Especially early, before noon I mean. They have frappes so much better than Starbucks or scooters and the pastries !!! OMG !!! The Scones are the best I’ve ever had, and the cinnamon buns and sticky bun are Heaven on Earth !I ordered a dozen of the sticky buns and blueberry scones to take home lol.I seriously am going to miss this place when we have to go back home.So if you are traveling through, or staying in Valentine Ne, for any amount of time, do yourself a solid and give these guys a try. They are 100% worth it.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The service was wonderful. Employees were very patient and helpful. I had a small meat pizza and hubby had Reuben. The couple with us had sandwiches. Everything was delicious. The baked goods were all so good, too. We had snickerdoodle cookies and bought cinnamon rolls to go. My only regret is that we don't live closer and can't eat here all the time. Don't miss this wonderful place!!

EAT HERE! Stopped by on a whim while traveling to MN. We read the reviews and decided to try it. My husband ordered the Reuben pizza. Which sounded weird and gross to me. But Omygosh was it good! I ordered the Thanksgiving sandwich. Also amazing.They have a section of gifts, jellies, popcorn, cheese, fudge, etc. Most items had expired, but it didn’t really matter, if you know what I mean. Popcorn lasts forever. I just cooked some today and it was great.

Cute little gem of a deli/counter service restaurant! Looks pretty new. Cute decor. My friend and I came in for dinner on a Friday night looking for pizza. She is gluten free and was happy to find a gluten free crust option is available. The pizzas both gluten free and regular dough were both very tasty. The place filled up fast. Popular place in Valentine! Definitely worth the stop.... Oh! I also picked up some monster cookies.... Ridiculously good!!

This place is amazing. Definitely worth a visit. I ordered a sandwich and I cannot adequately explain how delicious it was. The blend of meats, cheeses, and flavors was amazing. I have never liked pickles, but the way they added to the rest of the flavors made for the first time I have ever enjoyed them. Quality ingredients throughout makes a difference. The deli has shelf after shelf of unique food items. We ended up purchasing over $250 worth of goods including Amish popcorn, real molasses, pure horseradish, after-dinner mints, chocolate coins, garlic seasoning, bulk dried marshmallows (ala Lucky Charms), homemade cookies (3 varieties) and much more. We were tempted by much more than we purchased. I am so glad that we stopped in.Parking: There is adequate parking on both sides of the building.Wheelchair accessibility: No accessibility issues. Main floor, easy access.

BEST FOOD IN NEBRASKAThis is my second time visiting the Old Mill and once again my taste buds are still relishing the incredible food I devoured over 30min ago.My Husband and I moved from Arizona to NE, last spring, and this is by far the BEST spot to grab a bite. The menu has an array of options from pizza to deli meat sandwiches. However, the #14 wrap is hands down worth the 55 minute drive! It's loaded with freshly cut chicken deli meat, bacon, onion, jalapenos and a sweet-spicy cream cheese spread that will make your belly full and your taste buds screaming for more.If you're ever going through, or live nearby Valentine, then be sure to stop in and give it a try; and don't worry if the parking lot looks full you won't wait long. They have an excellent system to get the orders out quick without sacrificing the quality. Besides, you can always take a gander at the store side and leave with either trinkets, spices, cookies, deli meat and cheeses to go, farm fresh eggs, or hamburger as well as buffalo ground meat.

Wow!! The caramel apple pecan cinnamon roll gets a 10/10. I have never had a cinnamon roll that good, and I will never be satisfied will any cinnamon roll after having this one from the Old Mill. I hope they have them the next time I come!! Excited for the coffee shop to open. The storefront is very unique and the sandwich I had was good. The Italian, I believe. I did feel like the sandwiches were a little expensive. The staff is very, very friendly though and you can't beat that!Update: coffee shop is open!!!! Love love loved my mocha latte and my caramel pecan rolls. 🤤 I just love this place.

I like finding a local place to eat, rather than just a fast food place that all tastes the same. Well, this one is on a must have list! Sandwiches are amazing. (I haven't tried the pizza, yet) I've had a different kind of sandwich, every time I've gone, and there are none on an "avoid list". Very delicious, and way fancier than Subway. They also have shelves, with various dried fruits and nuts, and candy. Fancy cheeses... Also, a bakery, and shelves of mugs and various knick knacks. I recommend this place to any coworkers who come through, and every time they've liked it too.

There's nothing bad to say about Old Mill. Very good food. Great quality products and the friendliest staff in town. The clientele, like anywhere, can be extremely rude and self-centered. That's not Old Mill's fault. It has more to do with location. Stop by, though. It's an experience that should be had by everyone passing through.Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessible, but there will be tight spots in the food and gift section.

Amazing find. Traveling through Valentine we stopped for lunch at Old Mill, not knowing what to expect. We found an incredible menu of pizzas, wraps and sandwiches with high end ingredients at a fair price. We had the Tuscan sandwich, Greek wrap, Old Mill special sandwich and chicken salad sandwich. We all raved about our meals. The toppings and condiments were perfectly paired with great meats. Then we purchased some bakery items which were phenomenal. Then bought several "bulk containers" including salted caramel chocolates, dates, gluten free noodles, etc. Did I mention the decor is very nice, too, with lots of room and an open kitchen? The only downfall was that we wouldn't be able to stay to try their pizza. It looked delicious. This place would be a star in any city. In a small town it's truly amazing.

Oh my goodness! What a fun place to visit. Lots of fun bulk items such as candies and fudge as well as noodles and seasonings. We stopped for a quick bite before the wrestling meet we came to town for. We were expecting the usual sandwich place but these sandwiches were fantastic! I had the #1 with the special homemade sauce and my husband had the Italian sandwich. Absolutely delicious! We are going to take my parents there tomorrow.
