First time I've ever been to tbe dairy chef and the ladies were great. Very friendly and made us feel like we were regulars. I got a large chocolate cone filled with about a Gallon of ice cream. 8 swirls on top of the cone to be exact. $2.00, yup, that's corret, TWO dollars for that jumbo monstrosity of a cone. As the owner of Husker Bounce, I would recommend going there and I will definitely be going back

We were visiting family in Syracuse and they insisted we come here, and for good reason. Soft serve ice cream is the best but even better when their prices are actually reasonable. We will definitely be coming back again!

This place is an amazing small town buisness with great food, great prices, friendly staff, and the biggest large ice cream cones I've seen to this day. Such a great variety for everyone to enjoy something. Close to hwy 2. So if your ever driving by or in the area, you definitely will not be disappointed.

Best burger I have had in a long time... Traveling across country looking for a bite to eat. Wasn't expecting spectacular but that is exactly what I got. Great food and excellent staff! If I'm ever passing through Nebraska again I will definitely stop for another burger!

Good sized portions and price is fitting. They recently remodeled. The building and restrooms are clean. The staff is always friendly. They have a wide variety of menu items. Fish, shrimp, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, nachos, and much more. It's very apparent that the new owners take pride in the quality of their food and service. They have a large amount of indoor seating, and adequate parking. Dairy Chef is a popular place among the locals. Don't forget the ice cream.

Long waiting time for ice cream, but inside diner is spacious. You can sense the local vibes inside, it's nice. Ice cream was really deliciousssss!!! esp after long drive to our home state. Good variety of ice creams so check it out.

Great food! The waitress was very friendly and we received our order in a timely manner. The portions were great and the food was very good. The Ice Cream... Don't leave there with out it!!! I hard a large lemon cone and don't know that I've ever seen I've cream piled that high. It was delicious.Stop and give them a try, you won't be disappointed

This was my first visit to Dairy Chef and I was very happy with my experience. The staff quickly greeted me and my friend, were helpful with what was good on the menu, and they were very friendly, in good moods and having a good time doing what they do. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is up for trying a small town diner

My husband and I showed up to order food for 10 people. When we got to the counter, the lady said, “We usually stop serving food at 8.” That was all that was said - no apology, no offer or anything. I looked at my clock and IT WAS 8:01. My specific words were, “okay? So does that mean you won’t take our order if it’s one minute after?” She said no. It was HORRIBLE customer service, and they missed out on an order over $100. As we walked out, another family caught us at the door and said the lady had done the same to them but they had thrown a fit so she took their order. I guess I should have pressed harder. If your hours are until 9pm, you need to service customers until then. Otherwise, close at 8. We drove 15 minutes one way to eat there and will now never be back. We’ve heard good things about Dairy Chef but sad we can’t say the same. Very disappointed.

As a long time patron I can say Dairy Chef never lets me down! The food is so delightful that I now drive an hour to come down to my old hometown area to eat at Dairy Chef! Great food at great prices!

My husband and I drove through Nebraska and stopped to eat at Dairy Chef during the Covid-19 pandemic May 9th, 2020. The staff all wore masks, and completely sanitized our table before seating us. It's a small location, humble and simple. My husband ordered a patty melt with steak fries. I got a mushroom Swiss burger with waffle fries. Those were both "baskets" so they came with fountain drinks and we also ordered mozzarella sticks. Everything came out fairly quickly and was piping hot. The sandwiches were amazing on the most delicious, buttery, toasty marbled rye bread. Spectacular to say the least. The fries were crispy and so good although not salted so we asked for salt packets. The mozzarella sticks were also top notch, the perfect breading-to-cheese ratio with a great stretch to the mozzarella. We definitely recommend this place and wish we didn't live 7 hours away as it would absolutely be a regular dining spot for us. I can't wait to go back some day to try a new menu item!

I love the small town mom and pop feel of this place. The food is good and prices are hard to beat. I get the bacon cheeseburger or Reuben. The ice cream is rich and comes in generous portions.
