This Safeway used to be so nice. It's just silly anymore. I've gone 3 times now and picked up a chocolate cake. All three times it has been yellow cake. When BOTH stickers said "Choclolate" I would call and tell them ,but they really don't care...guess I havta find another place for cakes in town. The bakery used to be nice.

Always helpful everyone that works there and appreciate the selection. With so many coupons, specials, etc. you need to hang in there to get the cost. this is a corporate issue and Sidney employees know how to navigate. Key is to clip all the coupons Safeway pushes each wed on your phone, every week it takes a few minutes and when you shop it is much easier, even if you are not going to purchase that item.

Dont try to get HOT coffee at Safeway's Starbucks in Sidney Nebraska The Safeway Store Manager even said to me on the phone "We are not much of coffee drinkers in this town" when I tired to compell them to have HOT coffee available . I even adjusted my schedule to come only on the hour or half hour when they said the coffee might be hot sonce they brew ot on the half hour.Well that half hour turned out to be whenever the employees remembered sicne the last time I asked how fresh the brewed coffee was at 6pm and the staff said "we just brewed it at 3PM, so its not that old" ! Then i asked her if she had ever had a coffee that was three hours okd and she said "I dont drink coffee, so it doesnt matter to me! "Some of the Safeway staff even referred me to the hosptial for hot coffee!! Also supporting the ridiculous sentiment from the manager that - we arent coffee drinkers! In otherwords, if you dont like it go someplace else!! Ok! I will!I am from the east coast. Where stores are competitive and want your business. The message I got from this place was we value only our locals who are apparently NOT coffee drinkers.Also i have been in there numerous times when the store doesn't turnthe outside lights on. When i mentioned oit to the mangaer he said they will be closing soon anyway and wasnt concerned.So its hard to tell if the store is opened or closed after dusk.

I live in Chappell, and we shop at this store regularly. I also witnessed the friendly cat being expelled from the store.We also like cats and find the reason for the prohibition of cats silly.I see cats in the Sidney Walmart all of the time, especially with truckers and rvs stopp overs who travel with their pets.You all are marginalizing a large part of your potential customers by your stores intolerance of cats. All the more reason to shop at Walmart even though the quality isn't that great the convenience and store acceptance of popular culture makes a better store experience overall.So we will keep using Walmart- and not Safeway.I also follow the nonprofit who was shopping with the friendly cat. They have a huge following on social media and work actively -actively reforming intolerance and hatred of cats in rural communities and addressing outdated legislation.I saw the video of the cat too. It was extremely well behaved and they post him regularly. He has a huge following on social media. As well and often goes into stores and gets lots of likes on live videos for the fun experience making friends with shoppersiin other stores The manager was really mean kicking them out. People like to shop at places where people are generally nice and tolerant.I support them and think what they are doing is making the world a better place.

Ya know i really like that store! It's clean well stocked, well laid out, super selection of most anything and everything one would need in a small town grocery store.Produce and fruits are fresh selections are amazing.Thank you Sidney Safeway you guys rock!

We stopped here on our way back from Washington to Wisconsin... if you are a person of color, avoid this nightmare hick-town. No one even looked up when my gf and I walked in the store. We ran back out of the store. 0/10

Terrible experience.We have a wonderfully well adjusted cat who is training as a sevice cat. Safeway in Sidney Nebraska made their cat hatred apparent when they informed us services dogs and small horses are allowed in their Nebraska stores - but NO SERVICE CATS ALLOWED( per Nebraska State Law they said) So it is apparently "against the law" to allow a service CAT into stores. Yet Walmart even allows cats- and NON SERVICE cats. Hmmm.... Sidney Safeway is Nothing more than cat haters!That's okay. Our nonprofit has a national following on social media. We will put the word out about this Nebraska Safeway store's intolerance for cats when they allow SMALL HORSES and DOGS! Absurd!!

The like the store for the most part. The constant injection propaganda is annoying, but we also have a pedofile for a president. Anyway, this location needs better people for ordering and stocking the shelves- holes for weeks.. The self checkout area needs a complete overhaul and fixing. Lastly, the doors should work better, or they should have an option for a manual door.

I’ve shopped here since we moved and I am typically pleased. Today was super bad experience, I had a coupon that states for all formula retailers, and explains how to process it. For infant formula and the manager would not accept it Because it didn’t have a barcode? It’s sent from the formula companies. He would not read the back or the information. It’s super frustrating as a mom who already struggles with limits and formula shortage.

I was very thankful for Chad who greeted me at the CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK to provide the amount on the Gift Card I was given in place of KINGS DAUGHTERS GIFT BASKETS THIS YEAR. He was very respectful and friendly. KINGS DAUGHTERS when providing gift baskets always gives holiday cards, and this year we did not get one instead we received a notice of rent being raised. I do not know how to accept a GIFT CARD under the extreme conditions we have faced living here, and uncomfortable accepting something that is not identified. Whomever you are, you need to understand, all I wanted was to understand and receive the truth when I was full time reporting seeking answers and doing a job not many wanted because of the hardships of politics and the betrayal some face and I came to realize you would not admit to ownership of these issues such as the asbestos and mold, dirty drinking water, because you would be criminalizing your selves, and the cost of losing face to friends and family. The hardest part in all of this, was accepting after all I faced, and stood up to, you did not find me worthy enough to be rewarded with my case money, instead, you allowed us to be pawned as your political advancements.

Very clean, friendly, exceptional variety of fruits and vegetables. Meat shelves stocked fully. Checkout was a breeze. Having just moved here from Connecticut, I feel I have found my new go to grocery 🙂

Love the store. Manager needs to see the bathroom on main floor is fixed up, repaired, maintained hourly and get rid of the flies. No soap, TP holder is on the floor and bathroom need work.

There were so many options and prices were reasonable. Our checkout gal was fabulous she was friendly and helpful especially since we were driving a distance and wanted to protect the frozen items and they were perfect by the time we got home!

Every time I go in there I have bad customer service from the cashiers, not all of them but most of them, especially the blonde cashier. I understand they have a problem with me, but be more professional and stop being childish. It’s getting old. Shame on you guys seriously. Enough is enough. I love shopping here and will continue to shop at Safeway either way. But I deserve better then that.

Safeway used to have a good meat market lately it is often real low on meat selection. So sad to see almost like management no longer cares about keeping store stocked up like in past. Can't blame the help blame upper management sad day

I have tried to like the higher prices at this grocery store in as much as they have changed the way they used to have a BOGO, but has since for some time now, did away with that. Their selection is by far the best in this town. I still go there for certain things , just because the other places don't offer it. There is a Starbucks inside, and usually there are people standing in line. Also, a drug pharmacy is located in the back. Usually there is no waiting to check out but with any consumer store, that depends on time of day. The vegetable department is great and always seems to be fully stocked. I guess my one gripe or complaint is about the shopping carts, as in there isn't enough.

The star bucks is a joke, it's only open when it wants to be , doesn't follow store hours posted online. Food is usually always expired they never check I'm guessing I got an expired Mio for my water before that's how bad it is.
