Awesome place. I expected it to be a bit different (or bigger maybe) than the ones here in Canada, but it isn’t. That’s a good thing I guess - it has all the stuff you’re used to finding at Bass Pro or Cabela’s.

This was a great place to stop and stretch our legs on a long haul. It's the first ever Cabellas. The man who uses a walking stick in the gun library took the time to talk with me and tell me a bunch of really cool stuff. I suggest you ask an employee to tell you about the elephant and other cool, unforgettable stuff. Also, make sure you hold some cool guns, I always love doing that at Cabellas. There is a dog kennel here and a pond and even a powersports store. Also pets are welcome inside the store.

Just a great place to shop. I love stopping here every chance I get as it’s the original Cabela’s and it’s easy to be reminded of that. It’s a smaller store by BPS standards, but what makes it so great is the staff. I’ve yet to find one that is less than genuinely friendly and helpful. They’re just as happy helping you with their knowledge and experience as they are just walking by and saying “hey “. This is lost in most modern retail stores but should be celebrated here.

The OG Cabela's. The only Cabela's that has a campground which was kind of cool. Very nice inside agents were very helpful. Plenty of staff.

Drove 2.5 hours to WOW! my fiance, and this place did. Jerry was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the place. So were the two ladies in mens wear. They found us a tee shirt that displays the store name, city, and state. Awesome!

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and the associate kindly let us know about the clearance section upstairs that we probably would have never noticed if he hadn’t directed us. We had a quick shop but was able to find a few gifts and souvenirs at great prices! $6.99 for a Cabela’s t-shirt - heck yaaa!

Love going to Cabela's to see all the animal mounts. I found some cute sheriff badges for my kids with names and one says sheriff I love you. Love the statues and decoration outside as well. Nice bathrooms. Just wish stuff wasn't so high priced.

Passing through Sydney, Nebraska, we decided to visit the Cabelas flagship store. We loved it! Made our local store in Idaho look so minor by comparison. So much more to shop for. We will most likely stop again if we pass through in the future.

Great store, well stocked, and amazing staff. So much stuff had a hard time finding what I needed. Someone in fishing took me to hunting to get some dog supplies (not sure why they are there). He was very helpful and had the best cowboy boots 👢. Cashier was also super helpful.The parking is spacious and makes it an easy stop and also entertaining and educational with the pony express monument.

This place is every outdoors person's dream. They have everything you can think of. Even saw an outdoor deep fryer for propane for 50 bucks. Workers were all polite. Everyone of them that spoke to me. Had a great visit and would strongly recommend you stop in. You won't be disappointed. Btw no I don't work there.

We have not been into this Cabela’s for 30 years.It’s very nice in this store I think it was their original store.The staff was friendly and helpful I was able to find the coat I was looking for everything worked out great and they had a good price on the item I needed

Love their free overnight RV parking. Includes a dump station and fresh water station at the north end of the truck/RV parking area. Also a pay FHU campground here too.

It's always a great place to visit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I purchased a paddle boat in the snowstorm on Friday. They loaded it on my trailer with pride and thanked me for coming in. Awesome staff.

Made a stop here on our way back to Omaha from Colorado. When my husband and I were younger, we remember this Cabela's as being a destination stop on any trip going past Sydney. The store was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. But the store is definitely not a must stop when going by Sydney. The Cabela's in LaVista, Nebraska or Kansas City area better destination stop as they are larger and have more of the taxidermy and outdoor feel to them. No a plus to this store is that there is an RV Park on site as well as RV water station in the parking lot.

The Mother Ship, where it all started. It's a must stop every time I visit Nebraska. Such a shame, it's only a shell of it's former self. (the 'old' Cabela's)This visit there were lots of sales and 'can't live without' items.Every employee there is super friendly and helpful.It's a must stop when traveling through.

A small dream...to visit this place after 20+ years. It must be a new building. Dramatic the change in layout...but still an amazing collection of animals. Loads of clothing to admire. Always quality. Had to sign up for the CABELA's card, the perks made it mandatory since my hot-little-hands had already loaded several items into a cart and I had decided they were MUST HAVES. I wont give away the SECRET perks they gave me but if you can walk thru that store without picking up at least five items, that you know...you can useThen you have MUCH BETTER WILL POWERTHAN ME. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane. Congrats CABELA management of a great facility, even the children come out of here smiling.
