Great store and selection on grocery side. Staff is awful. 1 person running a register and 2-3 standing around. Always a line due to the convenience side plus never having someone running the grocery side register. Have to wait on groceries to be rang up on the convenice store side. God forbid someone pitch in and open another register when it gets busy.

What a great little community store on the east side of Shelby, Nebraska! I had not been to Shelby in over 30 years and really enjoyed stopping at this location. Sure maintenance in the restrooms could have been a little better, BUT the whole store was really inviting. There is a place to sit and eat for the locals to have conversation. There is a nice grocery store attached to gas station. Also, it is the home of the 75 cent ice cream cone. Going here brought back many small town Nebraska memories. I will stop in next time that I am in town!

Usually alright place beats driving to Columbus when you need something. Registers are usually slow except peak times of the day. And they close at 9 not 10 and haven't updated the info saying so!!!! Or the employees are closing the doors at 9 for some reason........

My Experience was Great!!!! I found this place very friendly and custom oriented!!! ; One stop shop for almost everything!!!!I found Mr.Gage was very custom oriented, passionate to Help his customers!!!Tons of Cheers to the whole team and Management!!! For having Great Team members!!!.Will Visit Again 👍👍👍👍👍

I am reading down through the reviews. I find it interesting how some form their opinions. To each there own. I have nothing bad to say. I am from out of town. Needed a place to park for the night. Glad I chose to stop here. I had a nice dinner. Portions were more than normal by far. Food was good. Service was exceptional. Plenty of parking for trucks. Very well supplied grocery store. This is just a all around nice place to stop. America needs more down to earth stops like this.

The sign has a lot of truth to it. They promote their Junction Burger quite a bit, but never have any available when you try and get one. Truly an inconvience store.

An all around nice place to stop when heading through on 81. The Chester Chicken meal was delicious, bathrooms were clean, staff was kind. It is a great addition to a small community with the attached grocery store! Lots of variety and great selection of meats.

This is a friendly small town fuel stop and general store. They make a nice piece of chicken here, you can get a pizza and do a little grocery shopping. I stop regularly to buy supplies for the truck, and it's become a regular dinner stop. Plenty of parking for big trucks like mine, and the folks who run the place are happy to see you.

Have been stopping in at the Cubby’s in Shelby for a few years now. Each time I stop the Customer Service and the quality of cleanliness has gotten worse. Today’s visit brought this review. I wanted to order something from the hot case and was ignored as the hot case person stood there and gossiped and chowed down her onion rings. My questions about livers was answered with a “I just work here” very unprofessional and impolite attitude. After that disheartening conversation I proceed to go to the bathroom and could not believe the nastiness of the bathroom. You could not even sit on the toilet. The place just made me feel as if I could catch Covid-19. Grubby finger prints all over the counters and cashier area. I hope they think about their appearance and impact they have in this small community and step it up a notch.

Just traveling through from Minnesota to warmer weather. Nice stop for coffee, snacks, miscellaneous needs. Cleanest bathrooms ever. Nice staff. I'll add this to my great to stop list for Hwy 81.

The chicken and mac and cheese is very delicious. Only complaint is the consistency of the size of portion you get from the mac and cheese. One day the container is filled full and the next its either 3/4s full or even half full.

Gross ladies room - Maggots on used sanitary products on the floor. Smells like a dead body. Needs to be cleaned. Would not buy anything from them.

I stopped to get some deli sandwiches, but was very upset to find most of the sandwiches made with the crust of the bread, AT THE SAME PRICE!?!? At home, I throw the crust away, because we don’t like it! And to find most of the sandwiches in the deli were made with the crust, we were very limited to what we could buy!, I was very upset!!

We came in and saw something we wanted to purchase. The price on it was 99 cents. The person in charge wouldn't give it to us at that price even though it was labeled at that price. Seemed a bit petty on their part. But hey, I guess they don't stand behind themselves. We have no problem taking our business elsewhere.

The service was terrible and with my number two combo I got a total of 3 fries in it with 3 pieces of chicken. What a rip off for 30 some dollars of food

Bathrooms were DISGUSTING, guys didnt want to pee in urinal it was so full! All garbage cans outside had garbage spilling out of them. Very sad!

Website says open 7 days a week until 11pm when actually closes at 10pm.... Cubby’s you should probably update your website since the hours are wrong and we are from out of town and wasted gas coming to your gas station just to find out you were closed and that your hours don’t match the website!!!
