Prior to visiting, I did not know much about Willa Cather. The museum definitely informed me about her storied career and life. I walked away with a new appreciate for her as a person and author. The museum was just large enough to provide insight to her story while not feeling overwhelming. The museum itself is located in an old theater that has been converted into a museum and community space. I enjoyed the art gallery attached that displayed local artists. If you're ever in the vicinity of Red Cloud, NE, make sure to stop by for a visit!

This was such a fun experience! Rachel and the rest of the staff were all incredible and answered all of our questions. The town and archive tours were truly amazing, and it was so fascinating standing in the same places Cather once stood.
