We had a crane break down here and we were for 5 days. Don & his Staff were absolutely amazing. This is an great family & so nice & friendly. The rooms are clean, the beds sleep excellent. Housekeeping always checked to see if we needed anything. Very affordable and clean. Everything worked great, the store was well stocked. The sandwiches were really good and fresh. Definitely would stay here again.

Only stayed here on recommendation from an outfitter, never will again. Checked in night early, beds are hard as rocks, room was dirty, shower was not clean, bathroom fan made terrible noise & it came on with the light so we used cell phone lights so we didn't have to use noisy fan, smoke detector started making loud noises around 10:30 pm. Moved to another room for remaining stay. Beds still hard but with some give, room slightly cleaner (still dirty in corners), thermostat on heater broken (ran all night long no matter what temp was set on). 1st night heard train go through 5 times, definitely not the slightest bit quiet. Save your money, even with discount through hunting outfit not worth it! Ogallala is only few more miles away with cleaner/quieter places, closer to where we were hunting anyway, but "guide" never metioned it. Found this out bc we moved to Ogallala our last 2 nights to get rest before our long drive backRooms: Dirty and noisyNoteworthy details: Not worth it. All beds are not the same

The room had an odd smell to it and the other room we got was missing part of the door latch. The beds were very firm, but sleep wise, we all slept pretty well.I didn't go up to the desk, but they charged our cards wrong and they said their was no way they could change it.... Seemed odd to me.Overall, it was just okay....

No battery in smoke detector, access panel over tub poorly done. Dead fly on wall, asphalt like gravel on sheets, ice machine jammed, breakfast choices poor & know where to sit to eat. Muffins for breakfast small, old, dry & bad taste. Office in gas station, storage of mattresses in old wash bay & exposed to elements. Quiet motel is only good thing to say. Wouldn't stay again.Rooms: Stated in first header.

Called around 4 am to get a room after driving on the 80 for hours, no answer after calling 3 times. Get there and the office is connected to a gas station which is empty with a sign that says open 6 am to 11 pm for a room call this number. My boyfriend calls the number and this guy who speaks very poor English answers and says it's $60 a night and just hangs up. I call and all I could understand is that yes they have rooms but he has no employee available so no room for us. We wait until 6 am (trying to sleep in the car) and low and behold 6 am comes around still no one around and now they won't answer that phone either. 😒 Aweful service don't even bother.

Some sicko put a hidden camera in the room at pointed it at the bed. It was mounted on the TV and we didn't discover it until we were about to leave the next day. The room was clean and presentable, but had several broken items, including the ring on the bathroom doorknob, the lever to flush the toilet (which gets stuck and the toilet continuously runs water to fill the tank), and the towel rack at the sink (which was about to pull out of the wall).

My husband and I drive semi trucks and unexpectedly had to find somewhere safe to park when the interstate shut down due to a blizzard. The owners graciously allowed us to park in the lot with no problems. They also were kind enough to gave us a discount when we realized we’d be stranded for a few nights. The rooms were spacious and clean. A continental breakfast was provided free of charge. A gas station is attached to the main building and has a variety of snacks, drinks, and personal care items. Great experience

The hotel is attached to the gas station. The rooms were clean and the bed was pretty comfy. The concierge was all about business because he was manning the hotel desk as well as the cashier. The wifi wasn’t working but when I called the front desk they gave me the password for the hotels private work password. The gas station closes so if you need some snacks for your trip before the gas station closes but the pumps are still on so if you need gas you’d still be able to get gas

Kind front desk, helpful and quick. It's a store and a hotel. Breakfast is a hotel breakfast, coffee, OJ, waffles, cereal. They did also watch my trailer for me while my truck was being fixed, for a price. But that's more than most places would do. Room was a bit on the odd smell side. But convenient. I also avoided the coach due to odd staines. But overall, I would return alone, but not with family. Just being honest for everyone.

The customer service, cleanliness, check in/checkout process and overall experience were excellent at this hotel in western Nebraska. The rooms were very clean and the maid service was great too. The cost was perfect for this level of hotel in Nebraska. There were no issues with paying for our rooms and no extra charges. Thank You!

This is the 2nd time we stayed here. Last time we were on the back side which was much quieter. This time we could hear others checking out at 4 am. The room was basic but clean. The office initially could not find our reservation, which was stressful. This motel is freeway convenient and has a gas station that is not over priced on site.

They had peanut free packaged breakfast muffins/loaves. This may seem ridiculous on a review, but it is SO hard traveling with a severe allergy. Kudos. If I ever come this way, I will make a point to stop in! Thank you!!Rooms: Clean.Nearby activities: Food places are sparse. Convenience food or steak.

I do not not understand the bad reviews. My room was clean. It is not the Ritz Carlton, but the hotel serves the purpose. Rest. 80.00 is a little pricey for this hotel. It is Saturday night. I got the last room. So it's usually higher on the weekend. Bed was comfortable enough that I slept good. Room has a micro and fridge. I would stay again. The hotel is well kept not nasty. There is a convenient store with gas on the same property. Nice to have late at night.

After our plans to stop in North Platte didn't go as planned, we traveled a bit further down the road to Paxton NE. The one motel right off the highway was the Days Inn. This is a very tired motel with a need for some major improvements. The room was nice, but designed poorly. If someone is sitting at the desk then there is not much room to move around the bed. With the door closed, there was light shining in all the way around the frame of the door. Junk piled around the office and in the stairwell. The ice machine was not working and appeared to have been that way for a few days. The breakfast was limited, and the breakfast area had the feel of dirty. The trash can had not been wiped down for what appeared to be several days. It was good that the pastries offered were packaged foods.

This will be my second time in 50 year's, that I have stayed here and will more than likely be the last. I don't recall how my first time was, but this one was not good. The room was pretty much as described. The bed was too hard for me to get a good night's sleep. Even though the room faces north, there was still plenty of sunshine coming in through the so called room darkening drapes. The heat cool unit was okay. It had a time feature for shut off. It ran fairly quiet. There is a microwave, fridge, and a one cup coffee maker. Parking area is slim, in that it doesn't seem adequate enough for all vehicles. One parking space has a large bush, that will more than likely scratch your vehicle. The lobby is combined with the small eating area, with the usual eats. Not sure what more I can say.

Do not ...I repeat do NOT waste your time and to be more direct, health in this hotel. Between the reception stating I didnt have a reservation through Expedia but then it magically appeared after I started to complain and the state of the room...I have to say the room is the worst!!! We stopped in the town to visit the Ole's Big Game steak house and lounge ....which was fantastic and would go many times over. We stopped at the closet motel. This was just a gross motel. View the picks if you don't believe me. There were bugs every where, bed was old, the heater/AC didn't work, and half the lights didn't work. I believe there was demon living in the toilet howling at the moon every time we flushed! The topper was we had to listen to someone yell on the phone in another language and what can only assume, rearrange furniture all night!!! It is officially 3:00 am and he is still shouting about God know what!! The morning no breakfast.... I dont usually give poor reviews but this hotel/motel warranted this rant....just take the time and head to the next hotel...trust me you will thank me later!

My room was clean and the shower was great, nice hot water. You do have to be ready for the water to get a little hotter at times. This is an older Inn, building. (If someone else turns the water on, yours will get hotter. Not a problem for me.) I think for the price of the room, they could probably do without the breakfast they provide. I had an English muffin toasted with butter. I don't know if it was the muffin or the butter, but something didn't taste right. And per one of the other reviews the eggs were in a refrigerated section and you had to warm it up in the microwave. I did not try those. All in all a good place to stay. Beds were made rooms were warm.

Booked a king room. Was given two doubles. Couldn’t even sleep in same bed as my wife. Brought it to attendants attention And was told we don’t have King rooms it’s not my fault. Who the hells fault is it then because it sure wasn’t mine! He then offered to refund us and send us on our way, also not really a compromise so we just stuck it out but it only got worse. Rooms are old and not cleaned well, see attached pictures. Lamp on desk did not work at all and I was not even bothering with it. Heard random weird noises outside all night long. The beds were so springy and bouncy that the only one who enjoyed them at all was my eight month old daughter when she got to bounce on them. Woke up with some pretty nasty back pain. In short we couldn’t wait to leave this rat hole!

Pull through sites with electric but the water was a hand pump. So we didn’t hook up to that. There is a empty old 5th wheeler in the first spot. Small pond with a grill and trash can in a grass area next to it. There is a swing set for kids if you bring them. Check in was easy. $25 for the night. Cheap compared to the KOAs near by. The small park had 10 spots and we were the only ones there. The gas station was conveniently located right next door and we could use their bathrooms if needed. Check in was in the Days Inn. The park could use a trash pick up but other than that it was perfect for what we needed to do. Also our spot was level! No needed to use the jacks.

Can't do zero stars. Filthy! This photo with washcloth is from a couple swipes at the tub. 7 human hairs and grime. I didn't wash the whole tub....literally two swipes along the edge. Disgusting!! The bulbs are low wattage in the bathroom for a reason. Beware! All photos of observed filth are below. I was too tired last night to notice! 🧐

The staff was great even though the room needed work. My girlfriend got locked in the bathroom for 45 minutes and the handle needed to be destroyed to get in.The room was dirty but nothing you wouldn't expect from this level of hotel. A few hairs on the floor of the bathroom, stains on the pillowcase, and a few dusty spots. After the bathroom incident we noticed that we also couldn't shut the door to the room with out putting significant weight on it.All in the words, "adventure" and "interesting" would cover this stay.I will say the easy of dealing with the staff was sorta the only saving grace.

Very friendly staff. Decent rooms. My only problem was the rooms smelled like the filters haven't been changed in a while in the AC unit. Egg at breakfast was so simple yet delicious and tasted like it was made with love

It gets an extra star because the air conditioner worked. A/C was very loud though. The room looked clean enough but I just got a creepy feeling here. Breakfast wasn't much. It consisted of a few factory donuts, factory eggs that could be heated in the microwave, and English muffins, not much else. I passed on breakfast. There's a convenience store attached to the motel. If you need gas, it was $.38 cheaper 20 miles down the road at Ogallala. The price was $72 plus $20 for my dog. I've had better rooms for half that.

You’re better off sleeping in your car. First grosse experience is the multitude of fly tapes hanging on the hallways by the entryway to the rooms. They were covered in dead flies and you had to duck to prevent one from sticking to your head. Upon entering the room it smelled horrible. Turning on the heater only made the smell worse. Old bedspreads and sheets didn’t seem entirely clean. I normally don’t leave reviews but I’d avoid this hotel.
