The things I like about this store: There is a Starbucks and a bank inside, it's usually not crowded and they still have cashiers working the check-out lanes, it is clean and well-stocked and I can find items here that they don't carry at other stores. The things I don't like about this store: It is over-priced, the fruit looks good but is never ripe and has no flavor, the parking lot is horrible.

On April 4th, 2024, my wife and I went into the Family Fare store on 1230 N Washington St in Papillion, NE. We decided to get some fried chicken, and so we approached the deli counter. The first thing I noticed was that there were four or five people waiting, and the chicken bins were nearly empty. A guy named Levar was the only one working in the deli. I saw him shaking his head and rolling his eyes as he headed into the freezer. When he came out, he was carrying a bunch of supplies needed to make more chicken. As he exited the freezer, he swung the boxes he was carrying to slam the freezer door shut behind him. Well, he swung it in an obviously aggressive and angry way. The freezer door slammed very hard, and he was muttering to himself and shaking his head. He put the boxes of supplies down and approached a woman at the counter. She hesitantly asked if she should come back later, and then he told her with exasperation that she should come back later because he doesn't have anything right now. The lady quickly left. The other people who were hovering around and waiting also left soon after. So, I approached the counter to ask how much longer until any fried chicken might be ready. He rolled his eyes and sighed and then told us it would be a while because there were orders ahead of us. So, we left. We have dealt with this guy before in the past, and it has always been clear that he has anger issues and possibly some kind of mental problem. I reported this incident to a manager named Troy. Troy was standing within clear eyesight of the Deli and seemed to have been watching what had transpired. I approached and explained the situation. I described how Levar had slammed the freezer door aggressively and sighed and rolled his eyes a lot. I will never forget this man's ridiculous response... He told me that this was my perception and not necessarily what had happened. He also told me that he has been working with Levar for years and has not noticed this type of problem before. I promptly told him that witnessing someone being rude, rolling their eyes, and sighing is not just my perception but is also reality. Troy then walked away and headed over to the Deli. He excused himself but did not seem interested in what I was saying. Later, I was talking to the customer service lady to get the Family Fare customer service number, and Troy saw me there. He walked up and asked if I needed help, and I told him I was going to report all of what happened to customer service. I could see and feel that he was not happy about this, but he got me the number. I tried contacting them multiple times, but so far, they have not reached back out to me to resolve this. It is very sad that the standards of customer service and customer care have fallen so far. To be fair, there are many things I like about the store. They have great produce and a terrific bakery department. Their donuts and rolls are always fresh and made very well. So, I will continue to go back, but if I do go back to the deli, it will only be on Tuesdays because that is Levar's day off. I will also try to spend as little as possible in this store because of this and because many of their prices are too high.Update: Yesterday,Tuesday, Troy called me and apologized and gave me a $25 gift card. I used the gift card to order chicken at the Deli, and Levar was there, even though I was told that Tuesdays were his day off, and he seemed much better with his customer service skills and demeanor. So, I am happy about this turn of events. Hope it continues.

Had never been in this grocery store until now, and I'm glad I finally did! Nice, clean, and spacious inside. Well organized with clearly labeled sections and aisles. Good selection, and prices seemed competitive. They have Self checkout lines, but also, ACTUAL checkout lines with REAL people to check you out (a-hem, Wal-fart). Also, no "online store shoppers" with those big carts shopping for the online orderers like at Wal-yuck--those online shoppers are usually kids with earpods in, totally unaware of their surrounding who have no regard for actual shoppers. Also, it hasn't been crowded in the couple times I've gone, leading to a much more relaxed shopping experience. Definitely try this out of your haven't already!

I do like the store although it could have friendly checkers. They do have things I can't find at other stores. I do like their produce.

This must be the only grocery store in Omaha that doesn't sell Caesar salad kits. In one bag....I had to purchase all the ingredients separately for almost $20 dollars and throw out all the extra cheese, salad dressing and croutons that I didn't need for one bowl of salad. What a rip off

The store is amazing except the deli help is rude. They don't believe first come first serve. I stood to get sliced meat and wasn't helped. Customers came after me at hot food and was being helped. When i asked for help person prepping chicken said they were busy helping customers. I said i was there first. I will never use deli section again. I will look for another store that believes in customer service

Way overpriced. Items you want might be stocked one week, nowhere to be found the next. Definitely going downhill fast.

This store is GREAT!! They have amazing to go sushi, a huge selection of wine & spirits, friendly employees, delicious baked goods, fried chicken and wonderful charcuterie items!! I’m always impressed! Love shopping here. Oh & their donuts— so so good! My favorite is the sour cream one and my husband and kids love the chocolate cake or sprinkled chocolate! 😋😋😋

I would rarely come here before, but after my most recent experience-I won't be coming here again, if I can help it.Recently went grocery shopping with my significant other and while walking around together, two associates were glaring at him the entire time; either racially profiling him or whatever issue- I found it incredibly rude. That counts as strike one and strike two was when one of the associates approached him and treated him as if he were stupid and had him go to a checkout instead of self-checkout for a random reason. That same reason happened to another couple in the self-checkout, but they weren't told to go to a different checkout lane.Strike three was when we were grabbing specific products, for context, I'm highly allergic to soy, we found a soy-free soy sauce. We came in to possibly exchange it the next day because the expiration date was all the way back in September of 2022! My partner and I nearly cooked with it that night! While we were looking for a different bottle-all of that same product was expired and every other product on that shelving unit was expired too!Never again. If you're shopping here, please be wary since there could be products that expired for a long time and especially because their employees racially profile customers. Horrendous.

Good for quick trips but they have a limited allergen-free foods section. Still better than the the place with a W though.

I love this grocery store. They are amazing and there is never a wait. Point and case, they were the only grocery store open on Thanksgiving day and there still wasn’t a wait at all. You wouldn’t know it but they were super busy and parking lot was full. They also have a wonderful wine selection. They are sneaky good!!

I rarely come here because the prices are jacket up so unreasonably high and to only pay employees so little. The "highest paying" position that isn't management/ higher is only being paid $15/hour. Grow up Family Fare and pay better for your overly pricey grocery store.

Disappointed used to be one of my favorites. Long slow line. Fresh produce was not so fresh and didn't even have red peppers. Prices seem to be just as high or higher than other grocery stores.

I shop frequently at Family Fare. The Deli personal are wonderful other areas of the store are really good. I had two of worst checkers last week who need some work on customer service.

Went here to buy some fruit. Bought some grapes and watermelon. So weird tasted like water. Not very impressive. Store was clean and bright everything was easy to find. Price was good and self service was great. The customer service was very helpful and not really over bearing.

This store is clean and very convenient for us to use in a pinch. We definitely don't use it as our main shopping store as we find it a bit too expensive. The floral department is a bit of a dud as I usually find dead plants and flowers selling at normal price. They do have great deals at times though.

Great staff, prices are a little more than the other place down the street but it’s never crazy busy.

I don't get to this location often but I like going there. I called late on the fourth of July and they managed to have an order of fried Chicken for me in thirty minutes. The two guys in the deli that day were very nice when we picked it up and even made sure we got the special price. The cashier we went to was friendly and very polite. He even answered my granddaughter's questions like she was a çustomer. Even though the store isn't in our neighborhood we will be back.

Went for a late night grocery run today. I really appreciate them staying open late. They have good prices and a lot of sales through out the store. The lady at the register was very nice. She was making conversation with the customers, including me. She made my shopping a great experience.

I like the store layout and the employees however will not be shopping there again. In order to take advantage of the sale items I have to download an app then enter a virtual coupon before I shop. This is time consuming and ridiculous and as much as I like the local store this is my last time. I think all sales should be available through my Familt Fare card

This store used to be one of my wife and I’s favorite places to shop for groceries however after todays experience we will no longer be returning. My wife who is a very masculine presenting woman went in this evening to get groceries for the week after work. She noticed the hamburger was on sale if you were a yes member according to the sign so she grabbed some. Later on when she was checking out she rang up the hamburger and noticed it didn’t ring up the correct price so she placed it to the side of the convoyer, but still in the conveyor just to the side so that it wouldn’t go down and get bagged so that after she finished she could get some help fixing it before she paid. She finished ringing up her groceries and was scrolling through the transactions to verify how the hamburger rang up before asking for help when she noticed the worker down at the end who bagged her groceries eyeing her. She continued scrolling through the list of items to find the meat when the worker approached her and asked if she needed help. She told them that she did that the hamburger didn’t ring up right and without the worker even taking a look at the screen she instead said “actually I don’t think you rang that up at all” my wife then repeated that she did and it isn’t ringing up the right price when the worker again without even looking at the screen repeated “no you didn’t ring it up at all”. My wife then repeated she did and pointed to the screen where it showed she did and the worker just said “oh okay” and walked away. My wife stood there in disbelief and absolutely uncomfortable that she just got accused of stealing hamburger when she was asking for help. She then called me and told me she was going to tell them nevermind that she didn’t want the groceries and they could cancel them and she would put them back because of how uncomfortable she was made to feel but she just needed me on the phone with her in case. She then stood there waiting for help for nearly 5 minutes before she was then approached by an older female worker who she told her what happened and how uncomfortable it made her feel. This lady only responded with “oh okay then” and walked away. My wife never once got even a simple apology for the mistreatment. She and I have no doubt that the treatment was because of how she looked and how you could easily tell she was a part of the LGBTQ community. What happened tonight was absolutely disgusting and we will never returned. To be continuously accused without the worker even checking the screen and then not even get an apology from not only one but two workers when you proved them wrong and told them how uncomfortable and not okay it was is down right distasteful. My wife is never one to complain or stand up vocally for something unless it truly affected her. To see the hurt on my wife’s face and her it in her voice tonight when she is normally so kind hearted and High spirited was absolutely heartbreaking.

Good clean store. We stopped for some quick groceries and because there's a Starbucks inside. We found everything we were looking for and the friendly staff checked us out quickly. There's a Wendy's nearby and while we were there just before July 4th there was a fireworks stand in the parking lot.

Great grocery store and a good competitor for Walmart's Neighborhood market. I prefer stopping here after work because it isn't usually as busy. The staff is always friendly up front and my three year old loves them. Never have a problem with stock and the produce section always looks clean and well taken care of.

This location is definitely nicer and cleaner than 54th and Harrison. The prices are higher than Walmart grocery, but it is a pleasant place to shop!
