Our igloo cooler needed a new valve. Our online search said Ace sold them. We downloaded the Ace app, and it said this store had two in stock. We got some assistance from our "helpful hardware man", and found them on an endcap...on clearance for $5. When I downloaded the app, I got a $5 store credit. This is pretty easy math, right? I walked out the door with my new valve and $0 out of pocket. Life is good!

The management of this place is absolutely disgusting and nobody should support this business. We went in to get supplies to help with the recovery efforts after the tornado. We asked nicely if they would be willing to donate any tarps to help with people who lost the roofs and such and the manager was ungodly rude and acted like we were disgusting humans for asking if they would like to donate $10 tarp. Seriously don’t support this business instead shop at Lowe’s they donated so many supplies to the recovery efforts. The employee at the cashiers register was super nice. Maybe you should make her the manager instead of the horrible person you have as a manager now.

Manager was incredibly rude in a time of crisis. Shopped here for years and will never be back. Sad how much it’s gone down hill. Dirty, trash everywhere, rat feces in the aisle, and rude employees/management.

Consistently can’t find what you’re looking for. Online states they have it, came to the store and couldn’t find it, worker looked up the item and it said they had 4 in stock, but they were nowhere to be found. Don’t even bother offering an online option if you can’t keep it updated and accurate. It is a waste of everyone’s time to drive out and not find what the store claims to have.

Really really really really really really really expensive. $38 to $45 for a carbon monoxide detector. 20 dollars for a paint brush. The people who work there are really great though.

Stopped in to get some washer fluid for my car. Also found a couple other "didn't-know-I-needed" items I have only been here twice as it isn't on my usual route. Was going to the Ace Hardware at 50th and L Street Spring Valley but unfortunately they are no longer there. This store is also a very well-organized business and provide the same services but is a smaller store than Spring Valley but no shortage on friendliness. I do recommend it as the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Normally,t I buy most of my garden flowers and veggies here, but this year when I went it was really hard to find a plant that wasn't half dead. I don't know why all of the sudden they don't know how to care for flowers when usually they have a great selection and have knowledgeable people to answer all your questions you may have. Not this year.

The prices are a little high, as you might expect from a smaller hardware store, but it has a fantastic supply of small parts. If you need small screws, washers, plumbing parts, electrical items, the store has it. You don't need to buy an entire sealed box of screws that might not fit when you only need a few.

Good selection of everything. They might not have exactly what you need but they typically have something that will work.Where they shine - Ace seems to have a crazy wide selection of parts. General hardware of every type. Nuts, bolts, screws, and washers of just about every size, type, and metal you could think of. Plus anything you could think of to repair something.Where they lack - being a small hardware store the wood selection is basically non existent.

The staff there were always super professional and extremely nice. I was visiting the area and stopped in four times overall. I was doing some DIY work while in the area. The store had everything I needed. The selection was impressive giving the modest size of the building. The location was easy to see and super convenient.

Had what I needed. You'll be paying a higher price on some items as this is kinda like a hardware convenience store. Better off going to The Home Depot if you can.

I had to have keys made. The man who made them was very nice. The store was clean and not overly crowded. I also like the fact that I don't have to walk a mile across the store to find something and then a mile back to the cash register.

Bought a nice wooden handled shovel for a very nice price as well as many other items throughout the time I have been shopping here. I was also sent a card in the mail for $5.00 off my next purchase, which came in handy. I buy plasty dip here which I use to spray the bottoms of knitted socks that I make. (great product BTW) I always receive prompt and courteous service from the employees here when I need it. While I can always travel to other closer locations to buy what I need, I like the atmosphere, the layout etc., here. When I find a store that I'm comfortable with, it is worth the extra time and driving time to shop here. I give this store and employees a thumbs up or 5+ 🌟S!

Chris the manager has no care for customers and does not care for repeat business. I went to return an item that did not do the job or satisfied my needs. The item was bought a few days ago and was in its original packaging. His first words to me were " it's been used, I can't resell it." I told him the reason I was returning it and he made it seem I was scamming him, all of this went on in front of other customers. Chris is unprofessional, no public skills and does not care for repeat business or customer care . So if you buy at this store, make sure the item works 100 percent and you won't be returning it. NEVER GOING TO THIS LOCATION EVER! As proof that this manager doesn't care look below, he doesn't even read these comments.By the way, I had my receipt and the item was $3.99!!! Imagine if it was $100.00!!! No way to treat people.

The neighborhood hardware. You would never guess they have so much stuff in that place. Odd bolt for a light fixture they got it. That random seal for a garage disposal they got it. A little pricey compared to Lowe's but so close and convenient makes up the drive across town. The staff is helpful and knowable.

Went there for a piece of plexiglass and stood in line for like 30 mins before anyone asked if we needed help. And when the guy finally asked what he can help us with he got all huffy and stuff. But when we went to go get screws and a bit for the drill that guy was real nice and helpful to us with no attitude unlike the old guy behind the key cutting place.

The free popcorn is such a sweet touch. I stopped to grab an extra pair of gloves and hand warmers. The cashier took her time (efficiently) with the elderly gentleman in front of me by helping him put his popcorn in his sack. He joked about him spilling it, but still being able to eat it later. It was cute. Is it just me or does this place have a small town feel to it?

Went in to get a key cut for my Ford Escape. Unfortunately this location didn't have the blank in stock. Josh called multiple other locations in the metro trying to find me one and eventually found a location that could cut me a new key. It was great customer service and I'd 100% recommend shopping here!

Location and tradition is really all the ACE stirs have left. Better prices and selection at Menards. But, anyone will spend an extra few bucks to have a half hour of drive time. Regardless, staff.is always friendly and ready to help. You can get in and out fast.
