We had an outstanding experience with Roto-Rooter, thanks to the exceptional team led by head plumber Bill. From the outset, Bill was incredible, guiding us through every step of the project with helpful insights and expertise. Apprentice Paul also deserves recognition for his invaluable support and keeping us informed throughout. Their teamwork was seamless and greatly appreciated.Additionally, Tim provided us with valuable information about the water softener system we ultimately decided on. Everyone we encountered at Roto-Rooter was super helpful and dedicated to ensuring our satisfaction.Ultimately, we settled on a tankless water heater with a water softener system after our tanked water heater went kaput. Thanks to Roto-Rooter, we now have a reliable and efficient water heating system in place. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter for their professionalism, expertise, and outstanding customer service. Thank you, Roto-Rooter team!

Omaha crew completed inside and outside pipe replacement during months of March and April 2024. We would like to acknowledge Geigo, Toby, Colten, Mike, James (project manager) and James for their efforts and quality work. We would especially like to recognize Bill Riley for his outstanding customer service, work ethic and taking the time to explain in detail the work he was providing. Through no fault of Roto Rooter, there was a 10 day delay before work started. It was disappointing and at times challenging working with Mark, team leader. We assumed that we would get frequent updates on work progress and yet it seemed that if we didn't initiate communication and advise him of what had been done either by talking to the crew or being hands on, we would not have been provided the information, something we expected to happen by supervisor. We were informed work had been completed and no one would be returning which we knew was not correct. We had been advised by the crew that same day the plumber would return the next day and finish his work, which if not completed, could have resulted in water damage. The plumber did call, returned the next day and finished the work. The exchange we did receive from Mark is that one of his crew members was confused and that he had been told differently by his team about the remaining work that needed to be done, which was inaccurate. He was very timely in sending us the invoices, which required a great deal of exchange (mostly initiate by us), but changes were made and we did reach final agreement. He did provide cost breakdown required by insurance company in a timely manner, which we appreciated.

I had a leak in my bathroom. It should have been a quick fix. Instead they tore out my bathroom floor, destroyed my sink, and didn’t fix the leak. We had to get a different company to come in and fix the leak, we had to replace our floors and buy a new sink. All on our own dime. Wouldn’t use them ever again.

Do not recommend. We have sewage back up in two drains downstairs, thankfully nothing too extreme. So we called Roto Rooter and they first sent a mitigation guy, all was good there, next came the tech who told us based on our description of issues we needed to snake the main line as well as the shower drain. We were told the first was $395.00!!!!!! Second drain was supposed to be 30% off $395 which is INSANE, us being first time home buyers who recently moved in didn’t want to wait or risk anything as they made this sound so serious. Next the tech says he did not find anything in the main line and in comes the “Supervisor” who was clearly just a sales rep. He ran the camera down and proceeded to tell us we needed a pipe “reinstatement” quickly quoted us $2375 and started rambling payment options with us and utilizing every scare tactic he could pull out of his hat to manipulate us into trying to sign his documents. All said and done, we did not receive the camera footage, our issue is NOT resolved now we have to call another plumber, we paid $700 for NOTHING and hours of our time and a mess left in our bathroom. Called customer service today about the experience, and was told the call would be escalated and returned. No one ever bothered to call back. 0/5, one star isn’t deserved.

Highly recommend Roto-Rooter. I had a sewage overflow in the basement and they were out within 2 hours on a Saturday evening and had it cleared fairly quickly. The damage assessment process was very smooth and they help navigate conversations with insurance if needed. Mitigation was prompt and meticulous. Everyone was professional, on time and on top of communication. I won’t hesitate to call them again.

I would NOT use Roto Rooter. Buyer beware. We had a drain back-up in our unfinished basement 4/16. The damage was minimal and the price to unclog the blockage was fair. What was unethical and unacceptable was the "secondary services" that were pushed post clean-up. A technician, Troy Hardwick (Sewer Solution Specialist) came in to scope our pipes. He indicated we had 60 feet of cast iron pipe to the curb that needed to be de-scaled. He gave us a quote/bid of $5510 and used high pressure tactics to get us to "sign now" to get this needed service done. Was told several things "if you don't, it will just back-up again", "you have 60 feet of cast iron pipe (to the curb) needing scaling", "there are financing options available for this unplanned expense", "if e-signed by May 8, we'll give you a $500 discount", etc. I declined to commit. 2nd & 3rd opinions were appropriate given the high dollar quote. Both companies were horrified hearing this story after coming out to scope our drains. We have PVC to the curb (not cast iron). The amount of cast iron to potentially be scaled in the house (if even done) would be around 40 feet. The two quotes provided by reputable drain companies were $1000 & $1200. The Roto Rooter solution specialist marked up the price 5 times what the work should cost. How many other unsuspecting home owners didn't have the time to confirm bid legitimacy or even service needs?!? The ethical competing bid companies provided video footage substantiating the needs (and lack of need) for this service.

I have had a few plumbers come out within the past year for a leak that was happening with my dishwasher, had a water pressure issue a few times living in this house and have replaced a kitchen faucet and dealt with a few different plumbing companies. I have never been charged a price that I thought was unfair, unreasonable or excessive until now . This time my toilet in the main bathroom, the handled was broke and I wasn’t for sure if the parts inside needed to be replaced, turns out just the handled was broke. You would have thought this would be a good thing, right? Well we know it’s less than a 15 minute job to replace, Tanner the plumber guy super nice quoted me a price of $382.00 and I asked what is the labor on this and he quoted $350.00. Guys, sometimes you do stuff when you know that it’s outrageous but you just need it done because you got other stuff going on Work, family, sickness, and so you do it because you have the money to do it, but it don’t make it right. I could have gotten a new toilet and had it installed for cheaper or about the same price. This company is charging more in labor cost than my Honda dealership charges me to work on my car. Can I repeat myself again to say, to replace a toilet handle that probably cost $5 or at the most $10. I understand people have to make a living but do you have to rob people to do?? Needless to say, I will NEVER EVER use or recommend this company to anyone. I am glad the problem is fixed, but I am surprised this company is still in business.

I had the fortunate opportunity to work with Roto-Rooter; first with Jared who freed up the roots of the main line going to the sewer andJared also freed up the drain from the kitchen. My water softener problem was solved my Mario and installation by Bill was unforgettable and expertly completed. Both Jared and Bill were very professional; explained what and why of their procedures and cleaned up after themself. I also met other representatives involving clean up and sewer line experts who were all professional and not over the top salesman. Gave me allot of things to think about. In talking to Mario and Bill I look forward to replacing a water heater with an on-demand Navies. As of this date, I am well pleased.

Had my main sewage line backup, they were out in my small town within about an hour after my call. Turned out an internet company had bored a hole through the sewage line, Troy was extremely helpful in walking me through everything. He was communicative, empathetic, and informative. His patience with me at midnight was amazing, as I was beginning to fall asleep on my feet! Would recommend this company for your repair work, especially if you get Troy, any day and every day.

DO NOT USE Very disappointed. Called to have a backed-up floor drain looked at. The first technician couldn't fix and senior technician(Mark Sulllivan) was called to evaluate. Mark inspected and determined that the floor drain p trap was faulty and needed to be replaced($6500). His crew would be out to repair next morning. They were late arriving and didn't show up until afternoon. They dug out the old floor drain, replaced p trap, and poured new concrete. Problem was they didn't recess the drain in the floor like it was originally. So now the basement will need to flood a 1/4" before any water flows in. Contacted Mark and was assured that this would be fixed. Same crew came out and I explained that the drained needed to be below grade. They claimed they understood, but instead just added more concrete around the drain, creating a "volcano" or "peak" effect. Called back and said that they still haven't fixed issue and was told that they installed how I requested and that there was nothing they could do. Have tried calling and texting and just keep getting ghosted. Now stuck with a new drain that will flood the basement.Service: Plumbing pipe repair

Bob and Matthew from Roto-Rooter were both very knowledgeable, personable and professional. As well as the field supervisor Eric and Tanner another technician that came out.I give them 5 stars. However before today I was frustrated with the company due to having a confirmed appointment between 2-6 pm to then be told they don’t dispatch anyone out after 5pm. So why then would a company send an appointment confirming times between 2-6pm? They don’t give updated confirmation emails with the new time when the company cancels or can’t make it out. Then I spoke with a dispatch manager who also couldn’t provide a confirmation. After these questions they called to follow up on delayed service multiple times and also made sure to state that someone will be there before 5pm and if anything happens they will keep me informed. This was a vast improvement. So I’m thankful for that course correction so long as that is the standard. Thanks for your overall helpful team in this crazy busy time with fair pricing and sub-zero temperatures.

I was charged $600 for a sewer pipe cleaning and camera scope. The guy Ken got his camera stuck in my toilet and ended up just leaving. I couldn't stay in my home as we only have 1 bathroom. Then he quoted me $23k to fix my pipes. After getting a few 2nd opinions, I feel confident that roto is incompetent, overpriced, and even trying to scam me. I will never recommend them or use them again.Update: customer service did nothing. They got their camera back and refused to reimburse for the cost of removing it (I had to hire another company to do so). Not even an apology.

Roto rooter service man came to my house and didn't complete his job. He made me responsible for a bolt after I already paid $350.00 from my ejector to reinstalled after a manufacturing error. Then I called to have him place rubber seal back under the lid. He demanded more money. He should have completed the job the first time.

I was relieved they came out on New Year’s Day, and surprised that they didn’t charge extra for coming out on a holiday! The technician/plumber ( Bill ) was extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I will use Roto-Rooter in the future for all plumbing needs. I’d heard that they were expensive, not true! The cost was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

The gentleman who performed our service was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose and complete the job in a timely manner. My only complaint is that it was a bit overpriced for the job done.

I called Roto Rooter b/c my sump pump failed & the perimeter of my basement flooded w/about an inch of water overnight. It said they had 24-hour emergency service so I called them around 4AM & was told someone would be at my house betw 8-noon. At 7:30AM a Water Mitigation Specialist showed up & said they could clean up the water for $2,500. Considering my basement is unfinished & there wasn’t that much water, I thought that sounded outrageous. He also told me that the water was considered sewer water so if I’m going to clean it up myself, make sure I clean it really good. He leaves & next the plumber shows up. He got my sump pump working again which was great but then wanted to charge me $745 just to re-seal the sump pit. Again, I thought this sounded insane. I told him I know someone that installs radon systems that can probably do it for me for cheaper & he said ok. Turns out my radon guy could do it for $150. Also, the plumber said the water that filled my basement was not sewer water & apologized that the Water Mitigation Specialist told me that. I would think that is something the Water Mitigation Specialist would have known. At the end of the day, this company did fix my main problem but considering the whole thing just felt like a money grab, I will not be calling them in the future.

Called them for a kitchen sink clog. Was told it was hair. Whatever. Broke a pipe. I waited all week with water off for them to come back and tell me where the leak was exactly. All I got was excuses and lies about someone coming and someone calling me back. Do not call them for anything. Overpriced and inexperienced people. After leaving me waiting again on a Friday afternoon I called an actual reputable company who came right out and repaired what Roto Rooter left unfinished. I would have gave a zero if it were an option. And they charged $370 for this. After their so called $75 discount for food donation.

Had the sewer backup into the house after 9pm on the weekend. They had a tech to my house quickly and had the water draining within minutes. Their techs Justin & Troy quickly identified the issue and gave us multiple options to fix the underlying problem. They may be expensive but worth every penny.
