This store is straight up animal neglect and a disgrace to pet stores. I went in and their hamsters are covered in mats, dead betta fish, cohabbing frogs with crested geckos in tiny enclosures while the cresties looked sickly. Their chameleon looked thin and ill. Their gerbils and chinchillas which are PAIRED PREY animals that need chew toys, didn’t have any thing in their cage besides a food and water bowl with no friends and no hides. I would advise no one to purchase an animal here because they can’t even care for them. I also witnessed them telling customers on improper care and upping the price by almost 3x chain pet store prices which is ridiculous. Also the worker was straight up eating chips and touching dirty bird pellets, reptiles and not even washing her hands in between which is VILE and so hazardous. I advise anyone to look elsewhere for pet stores that Omaha offers. This place deserves no business.

I recently bought a puppy here, we love him very much and I have no regrets. However, Frankie stunk so bad when I got him out of there. I also found out when I took him to my vet he got one of his vaccinations too early so I had to pay to have it done again. The girl working here was so nasty and rude to me when I tried to ask questions. It's a let down in the way that it is a very special day bringing home a new family member, and her stank a$$ attitude put a damper on that. But all in all we are happy to have Frank, he was bought not adopted but I still feel like we saved him.

I love this place. I am a huge bird fan and they have everything someone needs to get started and maintain a healthy life for your companion(s).I drive 4.5 hours to get to this store.I would tell you what birds I like to get but I don't want anyone buying them up before me!As a business owner, I will say up front that while thier prices are a bit on the high side, you are supporting a local, small business that employs great people and gives them a means to live. Consider that impact when you decide to order from Amazon or other online retailers. I for one am willing to pay more to keep a brick and mortar store around that has what I need in stock and is staffed by really great people...

I'll start by saying I take responsibility for not doing my research prior, but if you want to get ripped off please shop here. Dave acts like he's knowledgeable, but in fact his "knowledge" is dated/incorrect. His mark up is + 70% of normal retail. I'm all for supporting mom and pop shops, but not to the extent of being ripped off. Dave "attempted" to work a resolution with me.. he plays like he's a good honest guy, but he isn't. It's an honest shock he's still in business..Check their Facebook page. GUESS WHY ITS ALL WARM AND FUZZY.... CAUSE THEY Delete EVERYTHING THEY CAN. They can't delete these. Don't SHOP HERE. HE KNOWS WHAT He's DOING AND HE HAS NO REMORSE.Regardless of his reply attempt, his $50 store credit offer for a +70% markup rate is ridiculous. No wonder his daughter/wife or business partner is such a rude woman, they deal with this constantly.... guaranteed. He's lucky I care about the animal more than money, he cares more about the later. Karma should do its work eventually and God I hope it does.

SHUT DOWN this place! No living creature deserves these conditions! Animal cruelty abuse and neglect at its worst look at nasty cages!!! The worst customer service! Manon, the female employee with face piercings, hates animals, people, obviously her life in general and her job! She Was so RUDE, she should be working in prison with that attitude like others owe her a kidney or something, while yelling at another customer. They getting their pets from puppy mills, look at the criminal record on the owner!Look at this picture! No animal deserves such conditions!

Pretty cool pet store with a big selection of pets, accessories, foods, and health supplies for your pets. There is a wide variety of different dog, rabbit, bird, fish, and reptile breeds to choose from. Most of the animals are in open pens so you can reach in and pet them! I wouldn't recommend going over to look at the dogs unless you bring enough money to buy them all because you'll want to! The staff was friendly and seemed to really care about the health of the animals in their care! Only knock I can give the place would be on the prices of the dogs. Other than that it was a cool store.

My wife and I walked in, saw the condition of the animals, and walked out. It's obvious Pets R Us only cares about making a buck off of our furry friends. Dogs are all kept in show cages that are about 4x2ft, many birds looked like they were stressed and pulling feathers, dogs looked sad and defeated.Reading other reviews, this is not a new thing for this shop, and they clearly haven't done anything to improve. I'd steer very clear of this place if you actually care about the health and condition of animals before they become your forever friends.

Boarding area staff is wonderful. Our dogs are always excited when they see where we are going.The groomers..one in particular female .has no place working on senior dogs! She traumatized our Shepherd to the point of going to the bathroom several times from the stress. Known because of the call I received from the pet hotel staff.Customer service in the store area needs serious improvement. Majority of the store employees are gloomy,and put out, and act like they are doing forced slave labor. Get a different job you hate it that much!

Honestly I’ve been here so many times like almost every month and literally nothing ever changes the animals are always either stinky,hurt ,put into small places and honestly almost to the point of dying und no fault of their own…the owners are always either rude or racist..me and my boyfriend recently went and seen that in one small room the have stacks and stacks of animals in poor conditions they look clean and some looked dead put in a hot tank…we asked to seea puppy because we really were thinking about getting one and all the employees said “no” but then the other fellow people were told they could and had time to play with them…everyone seemed rude i don’t really care about the rudeness I just care about the animals conditions and for all of them to be checked on…

They do have super cute animals. But it doesn’t seem like they get treated so well:( I understand some bettas do jump out but maybe find a way to cover it? So they aren’t in damn near 3 oz of water. PLEASE DO BETTER.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is absolutely disgusting and whoever is running this company is a HORRIBLE person. They must actually hate animals. The dogs and cats are living in such horrible conditions and if people don’t purchase them they will eventually just get sick and die there. Most of the dogs are already 4-6 months old and they are charging 2k + for each dog. Every cage was full and all the dogs are extremely sad. Please if there is someone out there that could get these animals in good homes and shut this place down please do it. I wish I could be that person to save all those animals and see that place never be able to sell an animal ever again. They are not shoes. They do not deserve to be put on display till they are purchased. This place is filled with DISGUSTING people who hate animals.

If you’re looking to purchase a dog, good luck here. I went in this past weekend with my family ready to purchase a new fur baby when I asked to look at a dog one employee told me that it’s not just to play with and I said yeah, I know and then my family and I were trying to ask questions about the dog learn more about it and they didn’t really seem very knowledgeable. Didn’t really know anything about the dog but when I ask for the price, they sure knew that. Everyone looks miserable and looks like they hate their lives. I’m not sure why they’re working with animals and most of the kennels were dirty and had no water. I’m honestly worried about the well-being of these animals. So after leaving this store I went to another dog place and it was funny because the customers were talking to the workers about Pets R US, and how horrible the workers were the same day that I went in. I also told them my experience. But after all that, I did find a new fur baby 😊

Price gouging and poor health of animals. Over breeding of mutts for exorbitant prices. $450 for Grey Cockatiels. Outrageous! No prices on animals. That way they can change prices at the door. And they talk bad about customers if you don't buy the animal you asked about. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Beware these animal extortionists!

The animals here are all hand tamed and very friendly. I love spending time with them and the employees are so kind and understanding. If you want ti get an expensive pet, like I had bought my African Grey Parrot a few years ago, they do offer payment plans! I definitely recommend getting your pets from here.

0/5 stars. This place neglects and mistreats all the animals. All the puppies are in tiny cages with no room to play, bowls all empty. We watched one use the bathroom and immediately eat it afterwards, the workers didn’t care. Half the fish were dead. This place needs to be shut down, they clearly don’t actually care for animals.

Came in today looking for a new pup for our family. I fell in love with one, asked a staff member about pricing . I was informed this pup had a heart condition and I wasn’t qualified to purchase the dog. I was told “that they will only sell the dog to the right person”. Apparently I didn’t fit the bill because I was instantly turned down. I asked if the dog would require medication or special care, and at that point the employee had already had her mind made up.Oddly enough 3 of dogs in extended family are from this shop. Over 10 years my in-laws and siblings have all gone in and on impulse left with a new pup. That is exactly what would have happened today. Very disappointed to say I will never steep foot in your shop again and I’ll be sure to let everyone know about the experience I had today.

I was hesitating between a bichon and a poodle so I asked the lady with blond hair in the store whether we could try interactions with them. She said only if we are going to buy them can they take them out and have us play with them. “We can’t just take them out for you to play. “ What kinda rude attitude is that? We left promptly. If that lady is an employee, congratulations on having such a “happy” employee. If she’s the owner, good luck with your sales.

I went in to look around and we went back to the puppies. We'll we saw one that was either already dead or dying. I went up and told someone that I think a dog is dead back there. I was told oh no I promise they are not dead we just fed them. Meanwhile my fiancee and MIL told someone who was back with the dogs and went to get her manager.The manager came back looking shocked like I didn't just say anything to them. Well they went back to check and picked him up and he was completely limp and looked to be hard.

I had a wonderful time visiting the pet store the day before Easter this year. So fun walking in and seeing all the pets. I was looking for a Conure Parrot and they had a large selection. The Photo is of Palmer my green cheek conure, we love him and is such a beautiful and entertaining bird. The staff answered all my questions and were so knowledgeable. Thank you so much for our new family member Palmer is a joy.

Nice pet store, But... Prices are high.. Rabbits are $99.... Ferrets $249... Hampsters $14.99... not even going to mention cats and dogs... But all cages were clean and puppies had blankets and toys. They were all separated, which is sad they had no one to play with.

The whole store reeks of urine and feces indicating a lack of cleaning, dogs were in cages with no enrichment and were designer breeds likely from puppy mills as some had hereditary issues like a hard time breathing (french bulldogs) or gunky eyes.I've had parrots for years, and the state of these birds is pathetic. Parrots are intelligent and need enrichment like toys and things to chew as well as fresh fruits and vegetables (having them on a poor diet of seed mix is a quick way to shorten your birds life span). Many cages were completely bare except for the bird and one perch....many birds had horrible feather condition from cages that were too small as well as self mutilation (which can result from lack of enrichment and stress levels).If you care about animals and their welfare I'd recommend anywhere EXCEPT this store. I'm most saddened that the employees don't seem to see any issue with these chronic problems at their store which is evidenced by the multi year long review history of the state of this place.

They overcharge according to the price on the shelf. For the live feeder, I was told one price by an employee and rung up for a much higher price by another employee. When I called the store for clarification, the manager was not unwill to help me.
