Got my German shepherd pup from Menards Legendary German Shepherd about two and a half years ago and it has been such a great experience purchasing a pup from them. Dawn was so great to work with, answered all of my questions and concerns. She also updates the website with pictures of the puppies once they are born and as they get a little older so that you get to see your pup growing. My dog's personality is just the best, he is so sweet and smart. I purchased my pup to have him trained as a service dog and he in fact did become my service dog and always get compliments on how well trained he is and how handsome he looks. All of Menards dogs look amazing! Lastly, I love that Menards tests the parents' hips and only breeds them if they if their hips tested well.

Absolutely the best German Shepherds! Our Leo is now 6. On Day one (8 weeks) we taught him to fetch the paper. He was potty trained and crate trained after one week. His temperament is mellow but strong. He's the best Shepherd we've ever owned...he's out 5th. Working with Dawn was simple and I trusted her knowledge. We went on vacation after 3 weeks and she took Leo into her home. I highly recommend Menards Shepherds!

We absolutely love our Pharaoh! Menards Legendary German Shepherds are all well cared for, great temperaments, obedient, and pass all the extensive health tests. I would definitely purchase another Large Old Fashioned German Shepherd from Dawn as she guarantees health and our now 3 year old pup is just the sweetest and smartest dog you'll meet. If you have the chance to pick your pup up in person you can see that all her dogs are loved and well cared for and you'll be tempted to take them all home but she won't let you lol. Her application process also helps to make sure you are getting the right pup for your life style, if you need a dog more high or low energy she can help you make the right choice. We got our best boy from Menards Legendary German Shepherds 5 years ago. We really enjoyed working with Dawn. Not only was the process very smooth, she was very knowledgeable and gave us great tips for raising our puppy. We brought home our dog, Vergil, in August of 2021 and couldn’t be happier. Met both parents at the pick up, his mother Koa greeted me at the car, she was a very sweet and well behaved, and his father Natsu was a handsome guy who said hello and went about his business, which was desirable behavior to see in the parents. All adult/young dogs seemed very comfortable and safe in the home and Dawn Menard was great and continued to be a resource for any questions in the following weeks of taking our puppy home. Vergil has grown to be very athletic, loyal and has an excellent temperament. We’re blessed to have him.

What a wonderful breeder. I stumbled upon this breeder. The owner is incredibly professional, responsible, and responsive. Through the process it was clear she cared about all the puppies and dogs, and genuinely wanted them to go find the right home. She clearly loved her dogs and is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The dogs were incredibly cared for, obedient, well-behaved, the local trainers I have spoken to have also told me that their clients who have had her dogs were very easy to train since they came from such a good line.

I was sold a puppy born with hip dysplasia, confirmed by multiple vets. Dawn became very unprofessional when I asked her for the dogs full fee to be refunded, per Nebraska state law. Her contract also states that the puppy is guaranteed to be free of hip dysplasia, but she has no way of knowing that unless she x-rays all of her puppies, which she does not. I will have to recoup our adoption fee by taking legal action. Avoid at all costs, find a breeder that doesn't "guarantee" that the puppy will not have hip dysplasia as an impossible guarantee, used as a marketing ploy.Editing as she clearly is trying to hide this review…

Both of my shepherds are from here. The white one that was from gypsy and kuruk is an absolute snuggle muffin that is always happy to see us. The other one is a blade/angel baby and he doesn't potty in the crate, has some food chewing issues but we trained him out of that. He's been a very, very good boy the whole time. Both have great hip structure and they don't have the sloping back that plagues the show dog champion lines that you see all the time.
