I’ve had the most amazing experience here! My boyfriend and I randomly walked in one day to buy some stuff, Justin then proceeded to hook us up with a super cool puppy kit, I genuinely think he was more excited to give us free stuff than we were to get free things. I’ve since sent 2 of my friends with puppies in and they’ve had wonderful experiences as well. Every time I’ve been in Justin has been absolutely wonderful, and is very knowledgeable about every product in the store. If I could leave a higher review I absolutely would!

I had a great experience. The shop worker was friendly and helped me out a lot. She was an excellent employee and made it enjoyable to shop there. The product selection was decent, but it wasn’t the greatest, there are places in Omaha that have even more products which can be nice, especially if you are wanting to browse.That being said, I had a good experience and was able to get in and out quickly which is what I was trying to do that day as I had limited time. I was able to find the fresh baked treats I was looking for and my ShihTzu really enjoyed them. So, I give it four stars. Great service, and quick shopping, but only four because the selection isn’t the largest and the location, while convenient, has some parking issues, which while I know are not the fault of the store, is something you should be aware of, as it can make visiting a little difficult.

I cannot exaggerate how kind and helpful the staff here is, they have an amazing assortment of products for any mammal you can think of, and I highly recommend stopping in if you’ve just adopted a dog, they will HOOK YOU UP with the highest quality products and the person helping you will make you feel like they are just as in love with your animals as you are. Thank you to Justin who helped us, I urge anyone who can support this business to do so, your animal will thank you!

This place is absolutely amazing!!! All of the staff members are very friendly and courteous. They offer all different types of healthy dog treats. I also bring my dog here to get his nails trimmed. It only costs $8 here. You don't even need an appointment. I just call to make sure that the groomer is in. She has my dog in and out in 5 minutes or less. Very quick and very affordable. I highly recommend this place. UPDATE... So I stopped in today to get treats for my dogs. While I was there, I asked how much to get my dogs nails trimmed. The associate looks in the computer, and tells me $15. I go home and grab my 2 dogs, then returned to get their nails trimmed. After it was done, I was charged $20 each. I asked why and was told that the groomer gets $5 on top of that. This would have been helpful information upfront, but what do I know? I will not return here for any reason.

My puppy loves coming here. He chooses his own treats. It's a good experience for the pets.Everything on the table are things we bought at long dog fat cat. You can get a whole variety of things not just treats. But their bones/treats are best!! My boy choose his own toys and candies, that's why we come here so often.

I can't say enough good about this location and store! I stop by for my cats needs, and also brought my mom in for some reccomendations for her pup. The employee that has always helped us out is so helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. (She has cute funky glasses and the most adorable Doberman... wish I could remember her name...she's the best)Anyways, its obvious these people care for and love animals truly. Please do yourself and your pets a favor and support this local business!

Bad first grooming experience here.For context:The time I was notified my dog was ready: 1:04pmThe time they text me stating they were adding a day care fee: 1:36pm*I had absolutely no idea why I was getting a daycare fee at this point.When I arrived (time 1:50pm, this was a work day and I’m driving across town) owner stated their policy is after 1hr of holding the dog they charge a fee and then additional charges every 15 min after that. This policy was not communicated to me at drop off (I’m a first time customer), nor did they tell me what time she would need to be picked up/ready by. In fact, the groomer stated there was a dog in front of her & it might be bit, to which I replied “no rush, I just need to pick her up by 4pm” I would’ve arranged my day differently and made certain I was mindful of the 1hr window to pick her up, had I known about it.They text me she was ready at 1:04, I replied I was on my way, they then text me at 1:36 saying they were adding the daycare fee on - I had not even fallen into their 1hr timeframe. I explained to the manager that 1) the policy was not communicated to me and 2) I had yet to fall into their 1 hr timeframe (she was picked up before 60 minutes had elapsed).After debating it, she finally removed the fee. (At this point, I was frustrated, but still willing to squash it). When it came time to tip the groomer, I asked to place a 20% tip, which was $12. She then asked me to tip $15 (same amount as the daycare fee) because “he really did a lot; he let her out 3 times” I said, “3 times? Why? She can hold it for up to 8 hrs/full work day and she’s only been there for 3 hrs total”I ended up tipping the groomer $15 per the managers request. As a first time customer, I left baffled by the situation.

My favourite pet store in Omaha hands down. Great staff, very attentive and very knowledgeable. The store is not big, but the selection is excellent. Have not tried the grooming yet, but will do it soon and will review it separately.

The cashier up front was friendly but this complaint is about my grooming experience. I paid over $100 including tip and it definitely was not worth it. The groomer estimated it would take about an hour and she was done in 30 minutes. I dropped him off, went home, had just sat down when i got a call that he would be done in 15 minutes. It was very rushed. When i dropped him off the groomer kept trying to walk away before i could finish explaining what all i wanted done. My dog is a sheltie and when i picked him up he definitely did not have a traditional sheltiehaircut. His face hair was cut strait across, his tail was bobbed like a poodle- and the end was once again cut straight.i asked her to trim his rear and instead it was shaved down like a corgi. You dont shave a sheltie that short. If i could leave a negative 5 star review i would. Or even no stars. AND after driving there to drop him off, then driving back to pick him up, after i got home i had to drive all the way back because she forgot to put his collar back on. Definitely not worth it and will not recommend

They are so good there, they help you with whatever you need for your pet, I needed a Birthday 🎂 at the last minute and they had one !! And I was lucky enough to have the baker there so they put my dog's name on it, turned out great and she loved it 😊

We always have a great time when we visit Long Dog Fat Cat. We like to take our lab Leroy in and let him peruse the treat selection and pick out something good. I'm looking forward to getting higher quality food here as well. Always a very good experience, recommend it for anyone!

The staff was so helpful and amazing! I am switching my dog over to something healthier and adding raw foods to her diet. Justin I believe was so knowledgeable about the food they have as well as how to introduce it! He was very helpful to someone that wasn’t sure at all where to even start! I recommend this place highly if you’re looking for knowledgeable friendly staff and amazing options for your furry baby!

We have been using Long Dog Fat Cat for a few months now. Loving the selection of foods. Quality some locally sourced. They also have an amazing selection of treats and natural chewing things. Now onto the staff. They are amazingly knowledgeable very friendly and want to give all the info they have to you. This is the best place to provide for your fur baby I have found. Kudos and thanks for the wonderful service.

The employee who assisted me helped in picking out treats for my dogs birthday. She was super friendly and conversational. She was able recommend things and show me where everything was and even added me to their loyalty program and ensured I got all the discounts I was supposed to. I like the selection of safe items for my dog and would recommend this place to any pet owner!

Nevaeh did a great job grooming our pup! She is so kind and graciously listened to my feedback and noted it for the next cut. Our puppy seemed really happy after his appointment - he’s not the easiest guy to wrangle, so I’m thankful for their patience with him. Would highly recommend their grooming services. I go here basically weekly to get my dog cbd treats. They're always nice and can answer any question. They have a reward system for buying our dogs food which is really nice since it's pretty expensive (worth it obviously). They have a ton of stuff and some of the product is made in house which is really cool.

Love the staff. It's awesome to see how they treat the dogs that come in. When coming the first time they were extremely helpful and gave alot of recommendations regarding the health of my little puppers. My dog wasn't eating for several days due to not liking his formula and they gave samples and keep track of what your dog/cat does and doesn't like. It's pretty awesome and if you're new, you definitely should give this place a shot.

Great selection of foods and toys for your furry friends. I had Justin set me up with a custom cake for my dog's first birthday, but, they sell small cakes and cookies there every day for any occasion. Amazing customer service the entire time!

The staff is incredibly knowlegable and super nice. I have been buying both my dog and elderly cat's food there for the past year. They always remember mine and my pets names and make great recommendations on food, treats, etc. Cant recommend this place enough. I have also been to the village pointe location and had great experiences there too.
