There are so many facets to modern living, that it’s impossible to even become modestly knowledgeable about some of them. I, like most other American, love my pets. I realized years ago that mass market food brands were likely akin to fast food. So, I did some very topical reading online and decided to get a more expensive grain free food from an online retailer.Fast forward a couple years and I see my pets experiencing persistent allergies and other health maladies. I’ve considered upgrading to a healthier food after countless commercials on XM radio but every time I went to a website I was left confused about how to proceed.A friend referred me to Heartland Paws claiming that his cats fur was notably softer after just a couple weeks on a new healthier diet that the owner recommended.I’m happy to say that I made a visit to Heartland Paws and I’m so glad I did. The owner took the time to review my pets eating history and correlated that to my explanation of symptoms that my dog and cat had been experiencing. He explained how the food was made, the freshness of the meat, the cooking temperature, and what that does to the nutritional value, and a plan for transitioning my pet to a new healthier diet.Following the suggested plan, my pets are going crazy for this new food. The best part is that it is only marginally more expensive than my previous uneducated diet plan. If it has the promised long term effects of reducing vet visits then this new path forward is a no brainer.I wish I had visited Heartland Paws much sooner, but I am grateful to be taking steps to improve the health and wellbeing of my pets while I still can. Any future pets will undoubtedly be fed “right” from the start, thanks to what I’ve learned.Definitely go talk to Heartland Paws about your pets diet and see for yourself!

I met the owner today, Chris was very helpful in finding the right food for my picker eater dog. He had a lot of patience and taught me many things about dog food, his information was very useful. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Heartland Paws! My sweet French bull dog has a lot of allergies and Chris took the time to help understand my dogs needs and make suggestions for her diet. As a first time dog owner, I really appreciated his attention to detail. The new food and supplements we tried out starting in January, have completely changed my dogs life! She is more comfortable, sleeping better, her tear stains have improved, and her coat is so soft! Overall she just feels so good and energized! I would highly recommend checking this amazing store out♥️ they have a great selection of food, treats for special occasions, toys, and locally made bandanas!

The store is very clean and has a variety of dog toy selections. We came in for a birthday present for our dog and left with a birthday cookie, a pizza squeak toy and a duck head chew. Happy Birthday Dog!

I simply love this place! Everyone who works there is so kind, and I trust Chris with my pet’s life. My dog is a very picky eater, and he was patient while we went through a number of different foods, toppers, and treats to make sure that we could get him to eat and enjoy his food. This was a process that took a couple of months. :-) We ended up with a healthy option that he gobbled up. Thank you so much for providing only the best for our pets!

I have nothing but positive things to say about this store! Chris and the entire staff are all so personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Our dogs have had a variety of stomach issues in the past, and Chris has always been able to guide us in the right direction depending on the specific symptoms that they were having. It is clear that he has done his research on all of the products that are carried in the store, and only the highest quality products are carried here! They continuously seem to follow up on all of the products they have, watching for any recalls or changes in quality to determine if it is the best option to carry. I feel very comfortable going to Chris or any of the staff there for guidance on the best options for my dogs. I would highly recommend you check out this store!!

You have to check out this locally-owned store! They have a huge selection of raw food, hydrators, and treats…and TONS of knowledge to share to help you choose what’s best for your dogs and/or cats. They also have DogGurt and Brixtix treats (other locally-owned businesses right here in Omaha). Their passion for pets shows in the thoughtful selection they offer in their store. Wonderful people and great store. Check it out!

Our family got a new puppy 4 months ago and the owner of Heartland Paw was extremely helpful in selecting the best diet for him. They are very knowledgeable about the sourcing and safety of the brands and products they carry from the food and treats to the pet beds and toys. They care deeply about pets and giving them good health while helping owners stick to their own personal budget. The quality of their toys is great and have always been our pup’s favorite ones and are still going strong despite his desire to get them defluffed! Heartland paws has been so helpful in talking us through food to try with our golden retriever who is picky, has allergies to foods and a sensitive stomach. Chris is so knowledgeable and gave us some great guidance. I've also taken my kids there to see the rescue dogs which I think is such an awesome thing that they do at heartland paws. Without a doubt, Heartland Paws is a top notch store for quality pet food and pet treats. We spent the last several months working with Chris to eliminate our Shepherd's allergy problem. What a wonderful new shop with kind and knowledgeable employees. I was feeding my new rescue food that my husband and I both knew wasn't the "right" kind, but we went for the easiest choice. He then stopped eating his food and we were alarmed. When I stepped into Heartland Paws I was greeted by a friendly employee who listened to my situation with no judgment. She advised that I get the same food as she gives her own dogs - and Charlie loved it. My mom stopped in when she got her new rescue and had the same experience with the owner. This is our new spot!

My little 12 lb mixed breed is 18 years old. For over a year she has had a wart (kinda looked like a skin cancer, but i can't verify that, on her head and several lipomas on her side and chest. I always had to warn the groomer about what was on her head and pick her up carefully as the lipomas were painful if you held her directly over them. Chis suggested the Seven Shrooms supplement. The growth on her head fell off wirhin weeks and the lipomas have gotten smaller and do not seem to be as tender. She's got a pep in her step again! So glad to see her enjoying life.Thanks Chris and all!
